This is my favorite episode of the last few weeks. We got the normal awesome Delos quality, we saw bits of nugget struggling (glad that was brief), and the letter towards the end made me cry.

Oh! I’m so happy to see Sierra smiling again after not feeling well. That was very hard to watch our tiny sailor not feeling well because she is usually so “bright-eyed and bushy-tailed”. That’s a term my mom used to use for a happy child. Karen, I remember the days of not feeling well myself and having a sick baby on top of it! I’m so glad you both are doing better. ♥️

Wonderful to see American hospitality unchanged over the years, when I used to fly cross cross the states many years ago. Alway receiving either a ride or a courtesy car to ride into town and meeting great people I will never forget! Boston I fell in love with too, one of the very history rich spots of the US. Ahoy Delos, Great video of old Bean Town. I worked as a sheet-metal apprentice on Naval Destroyers when doing ship repair work with a lot of ex Boston Naval Yard journeyman in the mid 1970's. They were great tradesman and good guys to be around. I watched the Tall Ships sail into Boston Harbor from our shipyard and dry-dock right by Logan Airport in East Boston for the Bicentennial in 1976. Good times as a 17 year old newbie to the waterfront and sailing life. A lot has changed since back then, I having moved to the west coast two years after that. The Italian bakeries were a treat for an Irish son of a Boston parentage. On Friday's payday run to the bank to cash the paychecks, we would get a big thick Sicilian pizza (24'X18" pan) for the crew to share and individual hoagies like asparagus and egg, egg and potato, roast beef or cold cuts for each of us to enjoy. Warm out of the oven in the winter months and cool in the summer months. I'll never forget those meals with the guys and they are the standard by which I measure any deli food to this day. Few have matched it and none have surpassed them. Oh, and the smell. Did I mention how awesome the smell of the little, old, storefront bakery was. Sigh…. Best wishes to the crew and fair winds on your trip southward. ...

Nugget already has learned that the forefinger is used to push buttons! 🤣🤣🤣. What an absolute cutie, reminds me of our grand baby (1 of 12 grandchildren) when she was that age. They certainly like to explore and try to imitate what you are doing. I bet she already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger!!! Enjoy while you can as they grow up really fast and before you know it they no longer want to sit on your lap or allow you to hold them. That’s the sad part of grandchildren. We have grandchildren ranging from 4 to 32 years old and 1 great that is 3 years old. Love Delos and have followed you guys for a long time and always enjoy wearing my Delos T-Shirt during the summer! Use to be a Patreon member but had to back off due to health problems. I’ve had a heart attack, open heart surgery, 4 by-pass and 3 stints and almost 6 weeks in hospital. So had a lot of medical bills and had to cut back and hope you understand but will eventually rejoin when recover some extra cash. Love you guys very much!!!

Hey Delos Just missed you in Block Island this summer. I guess we were 18 hours in your wake. I’ve been following you since your first video, it’s been a crazy trip. I hope you know the great impact you have on people from all walks of life. You got me back into sailing, selling my stinkpot and buying a C&C 35 racer cruiser. My partner and I will be selling our landlocked possessions in a few years to buy our forever sailing home. Peace and love to the Tribe. Bruce, Mike and Salty.

Brian and Kazza....I can so relate to the pilots story. Both my parents contracted Covid in November. It took me 3 ambulance calls and 2 ER visits to finally get my mom admitted to the hospital only to almost lose her that very night. My Dad they took by ambulance the day before I finally got mom admitted. All through November was a blur of phone calls and doctors and nurses asking my sister and I "do you know your parents last wishes" "they may not make it through the night" "better today but don't get your hopes up"...this went on for 11 days with my Mom. I got her home a couple days before Thanksgiving. She is so lucky to be alive. She was tied to oxygen for weeks and even though she is recovered, she still has some lingering effects. My Dad sadly passed away after 17 days in the hospital. He was also a cancer patient in remission. Miraculously I got to be with him in the Covid ward of the hospital and held his hand for his last 20 minutes watching him go home. I still can't believe it. So tell the pilot friend to keep on keeping on. I get it. I watched yours and other favorite RU-vidrs during the hardest days of my life. Nugget brings joy and that I surely needed. We are doing well and will finally have my Dad interned in a Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Its surreal. But at least he isn't in any more pain now and his life is nothing but unspeakable joy :) Love you guys!

Dang, hit me right in my childhood. Mass Bay has the most unusual and uncomfortable chop when it blows, as the girls found out, it's worse inside Stellwagen Bank than outside.

You guys were in my home town. I used to spend the summers camping in Falmouth on Cape Cod. I remember going fishing in the bay in our 12' aluminum row boat with my Dad. Thank you and Calico Skies for helping Tula with their race set up. Too bad they had to drop out. Do good, be safe.

It took me 3 months to build a model of that very same ship !

My family and I all had covid except for our oldest daughter. Hearing that story was really special since I started watching your videos while on quarantine as well and it made the days fly by. Seeing all the adventures you guys had was very uplifting for me. I’m from Seattle and enjoyed sailing to hat island and Langley so I was immediately hooked. We live close to Boston and the cape so seeing your travels through this area has been fun to watch. Thanks for sharing your experience with everyone.

This was the quickest 3 months!

That’s my home town! I took a 12ft dingy, with a 6hp motor, out from Winthrop once, trying to go around the airport into the inner harbor. Almost got killed. The wake from a huge container ship rolled into my bow and the little boat when straight up 90 degrees, my motor dipped and I almost got tossed into the water. I immediately turned around and surfed the wakes back into Winthrop. True story!

Watching the nugget grow up, get more teeth, and longer hair is a hoot. The very best to you all!!

Come to the Great Lakes! Makinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, CHICAGO! Plenty of cool places and best of all, fresh water.

One day, guys, you REALLY must come visit the UK - make it summertime, because in winter we're as cold and wet as Maine - but I so want to show you two notable historic docks: at Portsmouth, where there are the trio of the Mary Rose (sank in 1545, recovered in 1982), HMS Victory (Nelson's flagship), and HMS Warrior (most powerful ship on the seas, 1860-1890); and up the coast at Chatham, the whole Naval Dockyard, a huge site with many features of shipbuilding down the ages, like the Mast Pond, sail lofts, and the rope-making shed, which have somehow just been left as they were, when they fell out of use.

kinda curious, always wondered why boat folks don't creat the option to hang a hammock with solid spreaders [to make the head and foot stay wide] for when the boat gets really rolly? It isn't as comfortable as a berth but has been know to be more restful and less nauseating in certain conditions. Worked well for us.

It's amazing how many local San Diego sailors I recommend your videos to. This week it was about your solar set up. So many also know who you are and follow you as well. I hope you'll visit San Diego someday! After watching the SV Delos videos, I am in love with the Amel set up and would love to own one someday to sail around the world as well!
