When we talk about a players legacy and how many rings they won we don’t account for how much of a role an owner, a GM and a coach plays into winning a championship. You literally have players drafted into near perfect situations and then you have players who have the odds stacked against them or they have to deal with a cheap owner, a bad GM, or a bad coach. For example, look how much money the warriors owner is willing to pay in salary cap fines and compare that to the thunder trying to short change Harden out of $5M. Look what Thibs is doing in NY, do you think the Knicks would be doing this if Darvin Ham was the coach? Look at the talent Boston has put around Tatum during his career and compare that to the talent lebron had the first 7 years of his career.

NBA franchises need to chill with all these coach firings and re-hirings. Finals and Championship coaches constantly fired and rehired somewhere else is getting out of hand. Malone, Spo, & Kerr are the only Finals & Championship coaches to still have a job with the same team, next coach is Popovich from 2014 (he don't count because he's already the longest tenured coach in the league).

Coaching changes does not have to do with KD alone. Thats weird throwaway click baity comment. The whole league keep going through the revolving door of coaches. It is very rare for teams to stick with their coaches - if they don’t see immediate results. It’s the nature of the beast. It speaks to teams in the league trying to put superstars together instead of focus on good “teams” and fit trying to chase a ring. Durant is an amazing amazing player. He hasn’t fit well in Brooklyn or at Phoenix. Not all his fault. As a basketball fan - you want to see the best players in good competitive “teams”. Not just unbalanced top heavy teams

His legacy is VERY overrated, I mean great player but he's just not a winner. He's been surrounded by Hall of Famer caliber players his entire career, superteams everywhere he's gone, & yet the only rings he has are 2 that he can thank the Warriors for. Westbrook in OKC (Harden was 6MOY & Ibaka was Defensive 1st team during 3 of those years too, some great OKC teams), Klay/Dray/Curry in GSW, Kyrie/Harden in Brooklyn, Beal/Booker in Phoenix. If GSW didn't get KD, there's a high possibility they could've won those chips anyways. If any top 10 player had joined them those years, they too would have rings. They won before & after having KD, that alone shows how little they needed him. Having KD on your team does not translate to winning, he gets his, he'll get you to the playoffs, but yall aren't gonna win the chip. He does not carry teams to championships like other superstars have. He'd probably be ringless without GSW.
