Thanks for the review! There's a reason we don't make specific fuel economy claims. Unless you're in a controlled environment, gains are sometimes hard to measure accurately. We'd love to hear your long-term review... 6 months and a few dozen fill-ups.

We love banks products. We typically only buy banks for our diesels. We appreciate all of the R&D that goes into each product. We bought the CAI because of the build quality, sound, and performance. I completely understand not publishing fuel economy numbers because there are so many variables. If you can boost power without taking a loss in economy, that’s a win in my book. Of course I was hoping to see some magic but I would definitely make the purchase again. I’m looking forward to doing some towing tests and a long term review after the computer has a little time to “learn” the new air flow.

Wind could be a factor on this test. The second test wind could have changed MPG, temperature, and road conditions.....

@@BBBYpsi very true. It did take about two hours between the two tests with the install and driving to the test location. I didn’t really check the wind. I think it will really shine under load when I do the towing test coming up.

@@DustinFaddis I am looking forward to the tow test than. I haul travel trailers for a living. I have a 2011 Ram 3500 & just a few weeks ago past 1 million miles on it. Been using a S & B filter since 2013.

Why don’t you take this setup and post a video showing how much containments make it past your filter vers an OEM? The question is, are you actually making an upgrade or making changes that will eventually dust your turbo and engine?

I just installed a banks cai on our Denali. I really want to see the improvements while towing. BTW I think the throttle response is quicker too.

Thanks for watching. It’s a Leer. I actually wouldn’t recommend it. Leer was the only option at the time. It’s tough to find toppers or camper shells for duallys. They’re the least desired so the last made. It didn’t fit well. The windows won’t stay closed without modification and I had to bolt it to the bed to keep the back glass from coming open. The plastic seal between the back window and tailgate broke off the first winter. I hope they build them better now. I just got one of the first ones out.

The wet filter flows more air, but like you said I don't know what the specs are on the filter oil as far as how cold you can let it get. The wet filter also has a much more frequent inspection and clean cycle of like 5000 miles or something. With the warmer temps you might try the wet filter to see what you get.

Whats up, my name is rich, i can relate to living in alaska, i lived on farmers loop for three years. I have a 2022 ram 3500 long horn, i picked it up in michigan and drove it to dallas. It has the 6.7HO, 420 hp and 1075 pf, i opted for the 50 gal tank and driving back from michigan i topped out at 23 out of the box with a 1150 mile range. I just installed the same cold air kit, i will see how it does. Watch out for the moose

Haha, that’s awesome. We were up off of farmers loop as well. That’s great mileage for a stock truck. My dealer told me I couldn’t upgrade the tank at the time. I’m glad I found Titan tanks so I was at least able to do the aftermarket upgrade

Thanks for the video. I do have one question. When you want to clean or replace the filter, do you have to take the entire intake out of the truck? When I look at the pictures or videos, I only see a small window that the filter won’t come out of. Any info is appreciated.

Sorry it took a while to reply. You have to remove the box but it’s actually really easy. Just a hose clamp and pull up and the rubber bushings pop right off. It’s not like doing the job over again. It takes longer to get the old one off

So I need to ask a question. I just finished watching your other video you did of testing the fuel mileage after tuning. You were going 65mph during that trip and 55mph during this trip. So if I understand that right you lost about 1mpg driving 10 mph faster the previous time? I’m comparing the last video to this one. Both of the “after tune” mpg. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for paying attention enough to point that out. You are correct, I was driving 10mph slower on this trip due to the speed limit change. I didn’t even realize that at first until after started editing the video. Maybe I’ll have to make another video on that showing the mpg loss with increased speed. Mine doing the same thing…I think the flow to the turbo is so much improved that the pressure sensors are simply confused…after talking with banks I decided to just ignore the codes

I didn’t have a check engine light come on but I would disconnect both batteries for at least ten minutes and see if that helps.

My 2007 2wd dually with the 6.7 gets 23mpg and thats 7 miles into town, around town driving and 7 miles back home. Deleted and tuned when I bought it. 6 speed manual. I'm really surprised to see such bad mileage. I drove 98 miles highway to another town and it hovered around 25mpg.

That’s great mileage. The 6 speeds were great and 2wd helps mileage as well. I’m not ready for deleting anything yet because I’m still active duty military and it would be my luck I would get stationed in California and wouldn’t be able to register my truck anymore 😂

I thought I was the only one who was getting these numbers in my g56. I get between 25 and 27 cruise set to 65 on the interstate (flat landing).

My check engine light came on after a few miles, but it took a while. Seems like the 5th gens are doing it. Did any of you guys figure out why and how to correct? I just delete the code and it comes back again after a long drive.

I’d try disconnecting both batteries for about 15 minutes and see if it continues. I haven’t had it throw a code yet

That code is simply the sensor being confused by 51% less restriction…ignore it

One thing to mention. If you don't live in California I would recommend deleting the emissions. You would definitely tell a difference. The emissions are definitely complete junk on diesel's nowadays

What's the gear ratio in your differential? Have a 3500 with 4.10 and a 2500 with the 3.42 or whatever it is they come with. 2500 gets around 20, 3500 around 12. 2500 has a service body and weighs more at nearly 10k but is also 2wd vs 4wd. 3500 gets around 8 towing.
