I made this surprise project for my son Lucas, after he moved-in to an unusual dorm room at college...on the third floor of a Victorian home in the round turret! nice shelf man! i liked the video and those dovetails were perfect! and a nice touch to the shelf. I don't know how often you subscribe to other RU-vid woodworkers but maybe you can give my channel a sub I'd love to have you aboard time to meet to do some binge watching because im now subscribed and ur work is awesome

Tom, just saw this boy can I relate when my oldest son 1st went away to college in Boston and left the nest now he's 46 living near San Francisco, seems like yesterday....

Yeah, all the changes we go through, including the “letting go’s” have a way of making me sadly nostalgic and very grateful to have experienced them at the same time.

+Ilbaboomba Wow, great observation!...he loves The Office and I found that bobble head for an amusing going away Freshman year gift. The wood is American Cherry, and will darken a few shades of red/brown with age. Thank you! Tom
