Do men feel the same pressure as women to become a parent at a certain age? The hosts chat it up about ticking clocks and the pressure to have kids. Watch.
A teacher of mine said "its better to have babies around 15 to 20 because once your kids are grown you'll still be able to party cuz you'll be around 30 to 35." I couldn't control the rudeness that came out of my mouth after he said that.
When Adrienne said jay z looks young for his age 😳😳😳😳😳 .....girl u and Lenny not together anymore so you don't have to be nice. I'm just saying! N yes John Stamos is one of the most handsome old men, in the media, I have ever seen
Shaquille Gordon Lenny is the Vice President and AnE of roc nation. Rock nation has something to do with def jam records which Jay's owns...he works with jay z overall
I'm right there with Jeannie cus I wasn't one of those girls who dreamt about having a family. Marriage before 30 ? Yes please ! Kids ? ..... If God sees me fit. Not every woman is meant to be a parent & not every woman wants to be, doesn't make them any less womanly than the ones that do. Let's all uplift & encourage each other to just be the best we can be as women, period.
its easy for men to say they want a child but they aren't the ones giving birth to them. pregnancy is hard work and taking care of a baby is even harder. not much is expected from the men when taking care of the child so all of the pressure is on the woman and thats mostly why i think Jeannie doesn't want a baby. shes a career driven woman and to be honest, all women dont have to have babies if they dont want to. its our choice at the end of the day..
*****...As Christians, we need to be compassionate towards others who don't necessarily share our views. Obviously, it pains Jeannie that she doesn't feel that maternal instinct to have children. I see it every-time she talks about it. She would really like to have that feeling of being a Mother but she doesn't. What makes you think that she doesn't speak to God about it? It's a process, things don't happen over night but they do happen when it's the right time. One thing I love is her honesty. She's been honest with her husband about it since before they were married and apparently now. I'm quite sure that she will work things out with her husband if it becomes serious but again, compassion is a necessity. Judgement is not.
+Jeannette Marie I think all +OceanBreeze is trying to say is...In a marriage, the decision to have kids should be for both parties to make. Just because the man isn't the one carrying the child, doesn't mean he shouldn't have a say. To reiterate...it's not men's fault they can't get pregnant. They shouldn't be made to feel bad that they want kids simply because they aren't the ones getting pregnant. It's their right to want or not want kids just as much as us women. Society is trying to tell us nowadays that it's only the decision of the woman and that isn't right. That's really being unfair to the men. I'm sure there are some men that would carry the child if they could.
Loni: "That's why older men get a younger wife. They get them young eggs. So they can pop and they can cook and they can scramble it. They can do it Easy side up." Lmao 😂 😂
Whenever Jeannie talks about her marriage, I always feel bad for her husband. :/ It is completely up to Jeannie whether she wants kids or not. But I feel like to be fair to both spouses, you should be on the same page when it comes to kids before you get married.
+Hello Goodbye Of course it's up to Jeannie whether she has kids. And it's completely up to Freddie whether he wants to stay with her ass or move on with someone that does. That's the part about being MARRIED people don't understand. Sometimes you sacrifice and do things you don't want to do to make your spouse happy.
But she can't just have kids to make freddie happy. Its a child, not a puppy. She has to really be comitted to spend the rest of her life taking care of this person. And If she feels like she's not ready she shouldn't force it. And If Freedie can't wait he should move on.
Shaquille Gordon No no. I completely understand that! Having a kid is having a huge responsibility for the rest of your life. I just hope they both were honest with each other before they get married. Like Jeannie said "I don't wan't kids" and he said "I want kids" so they both knew what they were getting into. :)
My husband finally admitted recently that shortly after we got married, he wanted a baby of OUR own to share....now, we collectively have 2 boys, mine-13; his-6.....however, I didn't want anymore. I was ok with just the 2 boys, because my lil one's mama had already done the work by birthing him, so I thought. My husband would joke so much about having another kid that, I would purposely change the subject just to avoid talking about it. Now, I am currently 9 months, due 10-12-15, and I must say I didn't start at least riding the fence of the idea until about August/September time frame of last year. I found out Valentine's day this year that I was pregnant with our princess!! 👸 😄
+Redayvn Hughley God Bless! Now you will have your little girl. I can't wait until i can have mine. Im not pregnant but its a dream of mine. God Bless your family.
First Tamera looks amazing. Second, now I know why Adrienne likes older men. It's what she grew up seeing. This just makes sense. Personally I don't think men look better as they get older. Just sayin'.
I think it happens to some men. Especially the ones that take care of their self. It never happens to women unless they made a rare transformation. Your 45 year old self is never going to beat your 21 year old self
Jeannie is one of those women that can get pregnant in her 40s if she wanted to. She's not ready now, but I have a feeling she may have a child later on.
You watch too much tv. The harsh reality of it is that most women in the world are UNABLE to successfully birth children after 35. A woman's ability to have a healthy pregnancy and baby deteriorates quickly in the early 30s. It's unfortunate that many women have been disillusioned by Hollywood magazines and films and showing many celebrity women seemingly getting pregnant and having kids at advanced ages with no problems. The only reason THEY'RE able to do that is because they have money and can afford the best doctors and healthcare to help them achieve this. The reality for most women is that it's extremely difficult.
+osimeon00 Right all these chicks think they are going to be Halle having babies at 42 and 48. Even she said it was a fluke and VERY hard on her body. Plus she has diabetes Type 1, she is lucky she lived. Women better stop playing with that ticking time bomb. Pun intended.
+twistedblktrekie Tyra Banks is going through the same damn thing. There is a very good reason doctors say 35 is the cut off. Every year after 35 your chances drop in the toilet.
+Misssophisticated My concern is not so much the chances of getting pregnant slipping away, because there are many ways to become a parent; it's the increased health risks to a child born later in life.
I think for men it's more of what Tamera said about how Adam felt, being able to parent and actually get up and run around with them. My Uncle and his wife JUST had a baby and he's 46 but she's 38 and he was saying how getting up in the middle of the night was effecting him. I was like "Yea you do lose sleep, that's the main thing that happens with newborns" and he has 3 other kids but his oldest is 24 and the other two are in high school. So it's been so long since he had to do that and at one point he said when the baby gets older he doesn't know if he'll actually be able to run around and play outside with him. Because when the kid is 10 he'll be 56 and when kids are in elementary school is when they really want to run around all the time and play. I personally want kids between the age of 28-30 I feel like by then I should be set and ready to start a family :)
Adrienne said her dad was 45 when she was born and later said her dad is currently in his 60s ... Ummm isn't she like 31---so wouldn't her dad be in his mid 70s???????
I was lost in the middle I thought when we say a biological clock it means time is running out on having kids when ppl have baby fever that's 2 different things.
I'm sorry, but I disagree on what they said about guys get better with age.. and I don't know if they have a clock, I just think they realize they want kids later when they're mature enough.
@@jan-nn9ix It's true. Scientifically after 36 the quality of a woman's eggs drops by nearly half which is why pregnancies after 36 are referred to as geriatric pregnancies and tend to produce more chromosomal abnormalities such as Downs Syndrom etc.
I thought women aren't supposed to have children after they turn 30. Cause my cousin had her first kid after she turned 30, and only family knew about the pregnancy cause there were so many complications throughout her pregnancy due to the fact she had surpassed the age women are NOT supposed to be conceiving children at.
Joshua McDowell The quality of a man’s sperm decreases with age. As a man ages, it takes longer for his partner to get pregnant. There’s also an increased risk of not conceiving at all. Whatever the age of the mother, the risk of miscarriage is higher if the father is over 45. The children of older fathers are at greater risk of autism, mental health problems and learning difficulties.
Older men's children have a much higher chance of having schizophrenia (per my psych class and book). Not sure if the odds go up around 70? Can't quite remember.
I’m 35. I feel guilty not wanting a child. I try to convince myself that I should but like Jeannie, I just don’t feel it. But I don’t have much time left
Just a little knowledge to bestow. Women who have kids after the age 35, have an increased chance of giving birth to children with genetic defects. The longer you wait, the worst you eggs get. Plus think about how much you want to be able to experience with your kids. If you are giving birth late, just know that life isn't forever. You may not get to experience everything. Make sure everyone thinks about these things! I know my parents had me extremely late. I feel as if time is ticking too fast. God bless x thank you for reading. X
ThatGurlEvaa the problem is that women are born with the amount of eggs that they will have for the rest of their lives. we literally are a ticking clock. men make their sperm all their life. that's why they can have babies when they're old as dirt. If only we could make our eggs daily... we'd be good. sigh..lady problems.
Jeannie shouldn't be with Freddie because he wants kids. He's a country boy and children and family is everything to them. If she's not willing to deliver that, they need to separate. They need to find people that actually share their same values.
+Shaquille Gordon when one person wants children and the other doesn't there isn't much in the way of compromise. It's not like you can half a part time child or whatever.
My parents age are 10 years apart. My mom had me when she was 42. I grew up with people asking me if my sister in law was my mom and my mom is my grandma. lol
+funon14 You´re maybe right. Yesterday I saw people who said the same thing. There´s something off this season. Like they´re not been that open about themselves. And sometimes they have like this awkward mini pauses when someones says something they shouldnt.
+lucecita19 yes i agree. it must be really scripted this time and they probably gave them some new rules lol. but the realness is what made the show in the beginning so i hope they soon bring some of it back.
+funon14 I'm really curious to know which direction the producers will take this show in because so far they've struggled with the fact that the ladies have no presenting experience. Nothing wrong with that, but the show ends up being either overtalking or awkward/scripted. I reckon they need to keep their own opinions and have some type of neutral mediator
men mature slower than women do, but their sexual prime is in their like early 20s or something, whereas we women mature about 4 years ahead of men but a woman's sexual prime is practically in their 40s, but the difference between men and women is that once puberty starts for men they keep producing sperm till they die, with women we produce for a while, but then menopause starts at some point, probably around the 50s, then we can no longer produce eggs, so men can keep having kids as long as they're alive, so if they're older and more mature it'd make sense for them to maybe want them then as suppose to when they're in their 20s and not fully grown and mature while women need to have them younger if they want them because we just physically can't wait that long, unless your okay with adopting, and we're more mature at a younger age.
I see very bad complications in Jeannie's marriage if she still decides to not want children but her husband does. He will leave I promise you that, you can't take away what a man wants! It takes a lot for some to admit that
A biological clock is different from baby fever.,.i think the question here is if men sperm decrease or if sperm increases birth defects like when do as their eggs get older
My biological clock is already ticking and I'm only 16!! Its crazy haha, obviously I don't plan on having kids for a long time but its definetly real, I feel you John my ovaries are rattling lmao. I think guys deffo get this too.
Marie Claire Biron Those kids still going to be in the freezer. If Tamar do decide to have another baby, she and Vince are going to do it the old fashion way meaning sex like when she got pregnant with Logan.
After 35 the risk for a woman to have kids goes up. 36 is old from a fertility standpoint for women. Men fathering kids past 45 is not fair to the kids.
Older men are five times more likely to father children with birth defects.Women's egg start to lack in quality after 35. I think it's best for both men and women not to wait forever if they really want children. If you're over 35 and have no partner then fair enough. However, if you're married and waiting, seriously what are you wanting for?
ahhhhhh now i see why adrienne likes older guys.... i'm not hating, i prefer a guy older than me too, but i see why she seems to like them so much older.....
+Ant Grisham lol What I think +firebaby7 is trying to say is that when we grow up we see our parents as examples. So when girls see their dad they're like that's how a man is suppose to act, what he suppose to do, etc. etc. And same vice versa. So because Adrienne dad is older I guess she figured that her future guy would also be older. IDK something like that. It's Not always the case, but most of the times, yeah. Anothr way to say that is with our parents we either learn what to do or not to do. Whew kinda long, but I hope I explained that for ya.
I wish Jeanie would just freeze some of her eggs , just incase she changes her mind later and then ends up with regret. You feel and think different about allota things , the older you get. Love you guys

Tamera a vraiment la classe !!!!!!! Comme toujours, c'est la plus belle !!!!!!
I don't know if this was factual but the Delaney Sisters, played by Ruby Dee and Diane Carol, lived to be in their 100's. The doctor told a guy that she didn't want to be married because she spent her whole life raising her younger siblings. You have to in know what you want and do it
Loni made it a joke but she's right. Speaking as sex being a plus, older men may go for younger girls because the probability of them being able to have kids is more likely. If we're both old together, we probably can't have any or have anymore.
I don't think they know what a biological clock is.. wanting a baby doesn't mean your biological clock is ticking it just means u want a fricken baby. Men don't really have a biological clock women do.
The difference, I'd say, is that older women typically have a much harder time CARRYING a child or even getting pregnant, hence why a lot of female celebs get IVF for pregnancies, cause they waited a bit too long while men don't really have trouble producing the sperm for the fetus to be made and for the egg to be fertilized. Men don't really have much of a clock compared to women, cause the female body is the one that has to fertilize the egg, carry it and provide the fetus health to grow and a lot of female celebs nowadays tend to wait till they're in their late 30s/early 40s to have babies and it's way harder, cause so much time has passed with your eggs and your body has aged.
Okay so this season is becoming very redundant. every time loni talks it's "insert cougar joke here" same kind of jokes. We get it! And Tamar is so over the damn top like she constantly needs to be talking or her opinion is always the right one over everyone else's. She thrives off thinking she's cooler than Tamara and Jeanie because everything they talk she gives a "ur stupid" side-eye stare. And Adrienne is really self kept than usual I guess due to her break up or whatever. They need to shake it off and be themselves not a character
and who's saying you need to have biological children? adoption is a valid option if you are smart with your finances. women shouldnt feel too pressured to pop out a bunch of kids young when they are not ready when there are plenty of other options.
+flawless MOST people in the world regardless of the options want their OWN biological children that LOOK like them and is of their own genes. And you make it sound like it's easy to adopt. It's an expensive process and you have to have your life and finances in order. They're not going to award a child to a broke and jobless college grad. Most young women and people in general don't have their lives OR finances in order to qualify for adoption. Please stop taking and spreading a laissez-faire attitude towards one of the most important biological institutions and choices that a woman will ever make.
osimeon00 why does it matter if a child looks like you or not, that point is not even valid. children are children and creating a life when you could help a life that already exists just for the sake of VANITY is just pointless. in my opinion. but as your second point yes over seas adoption is expensive but what about adopting in the country? whats wrong with the orphans in your city? adoption is a lot cheaper that way. also you shouldnt be having kids period if you dont have finances in order. how are you going to feed them, through love? why would a recent college grad with no job want a baby they cant afford to raise? it doesnt matter if its biological or not, that is just irresponsible. at least have your career in place like damn. is it really that big of a deal? given that college grads are mostly in their early 20s? what you cant wait 4 years until you have financial security. i'm sorry but having a child isnt only about you.
osimeon00 and like i said, adoption is only one alternative. there are plenty of others like artificial insemination. the point i was originally trying to make is that you should become a mother when you are ready to be a mother. so if thats when you are 45 then why not? THERE ARE OPTIONS.
A man can have kids at any age unless he has an ejaculation problem or other serious issues. Biological clocks are a woman's issue. A woman can be perfectly healthy and not be fertile, especially after the age of 30.
Yea...I've been married a month and my husband already like sooooo......I would like a baby for Christmas....hold up lol. Then he said next Christmas. But now his realized how much traveling we need to do before having kids so lord willing in two years.
Tamar's wig is nice but oh gosh Loni's is so wiggy lol. Adrienne lies you tell Jay Z does not look young, you cannot tell the difference between him and John Stamos. on the other end Jeannie looks very youthful.
There are risks for older men having children. Babies born to older men may end up with conditions like autism, schizophrenia, bipolar, epilepsy and various other problems.
