DO THIS FOR BETTER RESULTS DRED FX TIPS & TRICKS 

Battery drill, soft cloth with polishing compound, I use 1200 grit, and polish the needle, easy, simple and very worthwhile! What he says is very true, less tip dry, better atomizing, slightly denser spray, which means you can use less pressure in detail spraying, needle cleans easier, and sprays bigger pigment paint better! All my Airbrush’s have polished needles!

I’m going to dig out the Dremel and give this as whirl! Great tips Rob, thanks man.

I am not saying I don't believe you on this one but.... I had an Iwata for several years and thought my needle was still good but when I got a magnifying glass on it I could see a tiny kink in the end. I never remove the crown of the airbrush, so I could not work out how it kinked but then I bought a new needle (official Iwata one) and it kinked again within a year of use. I am so careful and to the naked eye and touch, I could not see the kink - I had to put it under a magnifier to see I did have the tiniest of "bent ends" for want of a better phrase. I am amazed how easy you are moving the needle around and being rugged with it in regard to touching the tip because my experience is that they bend just by breathing on the them. However, I will give this a go soon because I can feel gunk on the needle even after a proper clean and lube - its tough to shift it. What is the brand of steel cleaner and the material you use to buff it? Cheers

I bet if you put a drip of that polish on tip of needle an then put in nozzle an giver a few twists it will polish the contact points on the nozzle

Tried the creos on a piece of paper at 15 psi fair play mate I will get there but not the high end finish you get need a bit more tweaking you are the man I will get to Chelmsford as soon as i can need to know where I'm going wrong 😃😃😃😃

Super technique that works, thanks for sharing it. Does the needle fit in the original Dremel chuck or do you need the keyless chuck. BTW where did you get that blue Dremel holder attachment thingy.

I like to use a 3000 grit sanding pad to polish my needle, I twirl the needle with my fingers on a folded pad and pull it along the length then wipe with brush cleaner. Ugh the gunk that shows up on the cloth

I am not sure about that. Sharks and modern swimsuits have a rough surface for better flow.
