To attempt to completely wipe out jellyfish would be an undertaking that would dwarf the apollo missions in magnitude, and even with every resource available it would be next to impossible to achieve the objective. He wants this to be done because they don't do anything. I love Karl Pilkington.
@@tomoliver4632 I was with him on jellyfish - they're a fucking nightmare(by which I mean they occasionally bother me very slightly when I'm on the beach). But octopuses...I've never seen an octopus in the wild in my entire life. I think he just got octopuses and jellyfish mixed up in his mind a bit.
I love how confused the snail guy is when Karl tells him that everyone is waiting for him to make a decision to eliminate all snails and he is holding them up
There's no way it was Ricky, he couldn't have not laughed at the beer line, or when Karl said only the "tired" snails can sleep for up to 13 years. I don't really think it sounds like him either way.

I'm gonna take issue with this assertion that octopus are rare and "you only get two or three caught a year" based solely on the menu of most tapas restaurants........
Fair enough they are not literal knees. I was merely referring to the tarsus. the coxa and finally trochanter. Which all act in similar, but by no means the same, way as a human knee.
They don't. The reason is because when we refer to "knees", we are referring to a specific type of joint; that joint is called the femoral-tibial joint in which the cockroach only has one but this joint on the cockroach has very little meaning in relation to vertebrate knees. Now, if you ask how many joints cockroaches have, then there are five, plus the joints between the segments of the tarsi (tarsomeres) in which there is also 5. So 10 would be the answer.
Having watched/listened to hundreds of hours of him I think Ricky doesn't possess the voice acting skills to do such a subtly off way of inflecting, and if was trying to disguise himself he'd probably have done a different accent to the one he already has. He's a good actor but not a particularly good impersonator and it would have been obvious if it was him

I agree with him about it being cruel to put the crabs in the jar for the Octopus to get. It's also cruel to keep them in captivity any creature, that isn't happy/consenting to stay there. And I don't get what that woman means by "even a cockroach". They're living beings like any other and equal as such.
