I watch a lot of anime and most of my ships are OC's that I made, but the two ships I really like are Rin and Shiemi from Blue Exorcist (Oh Rin, you lovable idiot) and Chirou and Haku from Spirited away. I love Studio Ghibi movies, but Spirited Away kinda holds a special place in my heart because it was my first introduction into anime and also it helps that both Chirou and Haku are super cute, but the ending makes me very sad. So yea, I really hope I'm not alone on these ships :/

Yu Yu Hakusho is really a classic staple of my anime child hood. My OTP is Kuwabara/Yusuke and my best friend's is Hiei/Kurama. Yes, we still RP the characters and it's always fun. :) Great anime, great characters. It's always stuck with me.

I visibly gasped and went "HOLY SHIT" when I saw Oniisama e show up in this video. After seeing you mention so many newly released modern anime (with a few classics that EVERYONE has seen like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun spliced in), I did NOT expect to see Oniisama e of all shows get some lovin', especially since it's often overshadowed by Rose of Versailles (from the same creator as Oniisama e). Your praising of it pretty much made my day.

I got so excited seeing a picture of Samurai Flamenco!!! Also Wolf's Rain is still one of my all time favorite anime. I'm forever grateful to have met several member of the creative team behind it. I watch so many animes that it's quite difficult to single one out to recommend; I always try to get people to watch Vision of Escaflowne. The story, the music, the cinematography, the characters; I love everything!!! I rewatch it every year. It's true that it can be challenging to talk about it animes because of possible cultural bias. So I really appreciate you for taking the time to make the video and trying to get everything right.

Omg! Baccano!! YAAAS! I love Baccano! too. Isaac and Miria are one of my all time favorite characters of anime. I love how even though you don't see them "acting like a romantic couple" you just know they're soulmates because they're so perfectly attuned to one another that they aren't just two people who love each other they are one being in complete harmony. Baccano is amazing in almost every way i could take account for but when it comes to shipping no other show or franchise has ever made me love its cannon hetero couples to otp levels of love. Jacuzzi and Nice, Chane and Claire ; Ennis and Firo are all gold. I love watching Baccano over and over again and never really bother watching it subbed because the dub is just too perfect. Trigun is another old favorite. Along the vein of syfy anime I loved Psycho-Pass and Casshern Sins have you seen them? Also another new favorite I wish more people would watch is Mob Psycho 100 UuU

My anime OTP(s):1. US/UK (Axis Powers Hetalia) - I find that I enjoy the fandom more than I do the anime, like some of the fanfics really take the time to research their characters (which are countries) and find some really great narratives, also it gets people to learn about history which I always approve of. 2. Eren/Armin (Attack on Titan) - this pairing I shipped from the get go, I loved how they both looked out for each other in a world where they could easily act selfishly. Also Armin is my sweet baby pie (literally half of my anime favourite characters are the ones I have adopted and just want to save) 3. Haikyuu! - I just love the style and the series as a whole and also the pairings are all so sweet. I have been toying with the idea of writing a fanfic for the fandom based on Japanese history but to do it justice, the amount of research, I just don't have time :( 4. Yuuri on Ice - my sweet, beautiful skaters! I love them all! I love anime but I am not as invested as I used to be (as a teenager).

I was hoping for a discussion on Star Versus the Forces of Evil. I felt like the shipping of the series was done so it force the characters to invest time together when it did a good job before the "moon dance." It ignited the shipping wars of Marco being the prize. Not that I am against shipping in general. But it's just Marco's nature to be there for everyone. I remember how much Marco's old guy friends were such a concern for him in season 1. (I understand why people liked them being replaced.) The one time Marco gets when he wants when he was asked out by Jackie. The red moon curse would nag him about Star. Because in the beginning when was to help Star from the obsessive boyfriend. If anything, I just think Marco just got screwed out of something he could decide for himself when he gets older. Just how I felt on the matter.

When you said that you got hooked with the anime "Dear Brother" I instantly thought I knew this from somewhere. I didn't watch it, but I did recognize the character design, and then I realized that the anime was an adaptation of "Oniisama e..." which is a manga by Ryoko Ikeda, who created my favourite manga of all time, "The Rose of Versailles" (also known as "Lady Oscar")! The anime adaptation of "Lady Oscar" isn't the best one in my opinion, but I still watched it several times (and re-read the manga at least once a year). I think it's save to say that Oscar and Andrè are my favourite anime/manga pairing of all time. And now I feel like re-reading it again... Sadly, the anime adaptation of "Dear Brother" never made it to Germany (or any other manga than "Oscar" by Ikeda-sama), but I do hope I can get my hands on the manga. Thanks for reminding me of that! And thank you so much for your video! I really enjoy your videos so much :)

I have a video request/suggestion? Im not too sure about it myself and only recently came into contact with the term but I believe its called "secondary lead syndrome" or something of the sort. Where fans will be more invested in the second lead of a show and watching them progress and grow rather then the protagonist? I only came into contact with this term when re-watching the anime "akagami no shirayuki" (snow white with the red hair) with the character Obi. have you watch Natsume no yuujinchou? I think it is one of the best anime/manga of all time. It's a slice of life with fantasy. Very relatable Main protagonist, you really feel for him. It's about a 15 years old boy Natsume who can See youkai or spirit. He kinda dislike his ability, because peoples/relative think he's weird when he says he can see yokai, so they pass him around. his deceased grandmother Reiko had passed on to him the Yuujinchou, or "Book of Friends," which contains the names of the spirits whom she brought under her control. There's a talking cat youkai, Nyanko Sensei, who is protecting him from the evil youkai that came after him and the book. it's not about fighting evil spirit, it's just Natsume's daily life with his ability to see spirit and him learning to appreciates it. It's a beautiful and a calm, relaxing story that really draw you in.

I love anime but I'm not the most avid watcher(I'm more of a game playing, comic book nerd) , so I like the more popular, well known animes e.g. Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note, I did watch Monster as well, which I really liked, haven't seen many fics for Monster though.

I hope they reboot Trigun soon, the manga had a much better ending. Most of my OTPs have more to support them in the manga than the anime: Doumeki/Watanuki (or 104) from xxx-HoLic, Teito/Hakuren from 07-Ghost and Rikuo/Tsurara from Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. A recommendation for you, Blood Blockade Battlefront. It's from Trigun's creator but supernatural - vampires, demons, etc. - set in modern NYC. The second season just started in Japan but the first one is a whole arc and doesn't leave you hanging.

Maybe before going into Anime OTPs, you might think about a quick overview of potential genre, since there are some that are only sparsely found in other media, and some terminologies that are rather exclusive for anime. I always find it interesting how "anime" still gets often thrown into one huge bucket (and as easily dismissed), while there are so many different genres, genre-mixes and intended (or not) audiences out there. Saying "I (don't) like Anime" to me is as ambiguous as "I (don't) like movies". Also, possibly relevant since there are in a way whole genres for shipping (yuri / shoujo-ai, yaoi / shounen-ai) already defined.

Have you seen Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood? It's my absolute favorite, also another really good comfort anime is Haikyuu!! it's about volleyball, I will admit there was a couple parts that made me cry, but that's because you get so attached to the character's. Even the ones on the other teams you can't help but love, I definitely recommend it 😊

Many of my current OTPs are from My Hero Academia. But my mains from there are Kacchako, TodoDeku, Bakushima, and KiriMina. Also love SangoxMiroku from Inuyasha, KyoSaya from Madoka, Vegeta/Bulma from DBZ, the list could go on and on. The main problem being so many are crack(particularly my Naruto ships)

It is a bit of an underground anime and rather long, but my favorite anime is Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Its long but its completed so you can take your time on it!

My favorite anime is Cory in the House. A huge recommend show for when you want to watch a kind hearted show, with action, blood, sadness, and a lot of ships. Personally I don't really ship anyone, but still. Lot's of ships.

Also my anime OTP is Asuna X Kirito from Sword Art Online. They one of the few anime couples that remind me of my boyfriend and I. Last by not least you should talk a out different kinds of relationships in anime not just the boy/girl relationship like Harems (reverse harem), Yuri, Yaoi, and brother-sister relationship (yes, that thing in anime). Plus talk about your favorite for each.

When she was talking about getting manga in school for the first time it reminded me of when my best friend got in trouble for reading a school labeled manga in class. Okay so Dai is what I'm calling her. Me, Dai and some other friends were reading a manga during PE and the coach came by to tell us we where done when he looked down to see what she was reading. I knew what it was but since it had a school label on it I thought it was fine. Nope he freaked out and sent all six of us and to the principals office. The principal screamed at Dai since she had the manga and told her to never bring it back to school. Me being the bad kid I was left the office, went to the library and picked up every lewd Manga in the children's area I could carry and walked back to the office. The librarian let me cause unlike other teachers she actually read the Manga. when I was called in next I calmly informed her and my mother who she had on speed dial what manga they where letting six graders read resurrection princess or rosario vampire. she kicked me out and didn't even apologize to Dai she just said she was right. we got sent to the office for reading a Naruto manga. The scene that got us in trouble was episode three scene. . . .everyone should know that scene. That made me mad back then but now its just funny.

I love Read or Die. I own the complete series/OVA on Blu-Ray, and is one of two Manga I've read the entire run for (the other being Paradise Kiss). It's not as famous as stuff like Bebop or Samurai Champloo or Attack On Titan, but it's a personal favorite. I also of course love Madoka Magica. It was a great series. It didn't need a movie, and I'm glad it didn't get one. "But what about Rebelli-" THERE WASN'T A MOVIE! *cough* Where was I? Oh, I've been interested in checking out Steins;Gate, but I haven't had the chance yet. I was gonna watch it on Hulu, but before I could get to it in the queue Hulu got rid of their Free tier. This is also the reason I missed most of Bob's Burgers Season 8 because both that and my grandma's DVR getting wiped and the hours I had at last year's temp job. :(
