Great job as usual. I had the same faucet installed when our kitchen was remodeled, but we had nothing but problems with it. Water not shutting off, sprayer attachment not working. Pretty much replaced various parts sent by Moen to fix. Hope the home owners have better luck with it than we did!
Back seat driver here: I would have taken out the p trap first, installed the new "magic faucet"(neural Link 😊) and then finished the updated rigid draining. Heaving to reach all the way in the back with less obstacles feels easier to me.
The fact that you tell them in the video that your trolling them and don't care and they still comment is hilarious. Liked and commented for better algorithm handy. keep the vids coming.
I would have gotten rid of the dishwasher stand pipe and trap at the wall and attached the dishwasher drain hose to the garbage disposal and run pipe from the disposal trap straight in the wall.
@@jason9154 Does that happen often? I feel like more often there will a clog downflow and now you're just spilling water all over inside the cabinet for who knows how long instead of being able to see it inside your sink.
I know making this comment in and of itself is a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts, but I love how you know exactly how to game the YT engagement algo by just tweaking the nipples of as many people as possible in the beginning of the video, ensuring that those comments keep flowing in. Positive or negative, it's all engagement, baby!
Its a thin line to walk. I'm really not this way in person. But its my job to get views. I try to have fun with it with out pissing off to many people.
I dig the videos Handy. I've been watching for 10+ years now. I love how you call out them over sensitive sissy lalas right out the gate. 😂 I am curious though, will any gas or stankyness come out of that stand pipe with the sink and disposal draining into it? If so, would you could add a studor vent and another fitting for the DW to drain into? That sounds like something that would be asked by that one customer who "knows" how to do it but chooses to pay to have it done.
You hear him? I love the whole wonder of modern day plumbing. I just don't like where they put it. On my belly, under an overhang, through a small opening, and working at a distance at the end of my reach? I grunt like this guy.
Couple of 'NOTAPLUMBER' questions here....... 1. Is the trap coming out of the GD necessary, since there's already a trap at the wall connection? 2. At that 'T' connection against the wall, would a 'Y' connection have provided more 'fluidity' (Is that a word?)?
Not a master plumber, but isn't a double P-Trap not recommended? I installed my own Garbage Disposal and I used the existing P-Trap as to not double up.
Is installing a double trap and then stating multiple times that you did the plumbing “correctly” another troll move? If not maybe you should leave it to the master plumbers.
In theory, isn't it possible for the open standpipe to overflow if the drain line gets clogged and someone overfills the sink? (similar to a washing machine drain pipe)
Fill the sink up with the plug in. Turn on the disposal. Open the drain. Check the disposal does not blow water out the top pipe due to the pressure it creates.
Great video and excellent explanation of why you did it. No, I am not a professional plumber, but I have taken a few courses in it - looks like you did it right. What is that "hose" coming in the top of the waste line you attached to. Is that the dishwasher?
Guessing i am contributing to the reason. It is obviously wrong (and he knew it wasn’t the best solution) and all comments contribute to getting this video boosted.
BC he’s not a plumber. Guys like this are the real thieves. Just because you can make something work doesnt mean it’s right. When the professional licensed plumber is unable to snake that sink he’s going to have to quote to re plumb the drain properly and then snake it. But the licensed plumber will be accused of being the thief. Stick to what you know Caulk Boy. Leave the trades to the licensed tradesman.
@@ryanmcmahon4692 some places don’t allow it by code but the way he did it was incorrect should have put an 1 1/2 wye at minimum and have two seperate traps or just pipe the dishwasher to the garbage disposal
Plumbing reminds me of a Ford vehicle I recently said "goodbye" to...things just seem to be in hard-to-reach places! Good riddance to the pos faucet made in the PRC!
