I'm absolutely thrilled! With this new Trident, I can now monitor my tank's nutrient levels before and after testing, as well as before and after implementing any chemical or mechanical filtration. The advancement of technology in the hobby is truly remarkable, and I'm genuinely excited about the possibilities it brings. Neptune Systems with over 25 years in the aquarium controller industry, I've seen firsthand how it has paved the way for all these innovations
From someone who has used (suffered) the GHL KH Director for one year, deeply enjoyed using the Trident for another year and for the past 2 years have been using Alkatronic+Mastertronic, I do hope that this is either a new Trident testing the 5 main elements (including PO4 and NO3) or an NO3 PO4 add on for the Trident. However, they would need to make sure that 1) you can schedule as many tests as you want, even weekly should you prefer (this should require rinsing ability from the unit), 2) reduce the reagent costs substantially (even if it meant having a higher initial price for the unit) 3) allow for each reagent to be used until it is empty instead of throwing out 30% filled reagents because Alk has finnished.
I see these complaints from people. However, I will have to say that Neptune products offer an amazing value. The software is industry leading. Actually, I have worked in the industrial automation industry and Apex software is far better than just about everything I have used. I have had a trident for three years and it has been absolutely flawless in performance. The simplicity of the engineering behind the unit is impressive.
