Do You Remember The Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax Virginia? 

Never been to that place before. The Fairfax mall Virginia is my favorite place especially my favorite elevators are there

There used to be a Chi-Chi's Mexican restaurant on the upstairs floor of Fair Oaks in the 80s and 90s. In 1991, as high school juniors, a few friends and I ate there one fun Saturday night, and on the way out one friend grabbed a handful of complimentary mints by the exit door. He then decided to pelt some security guys on the bottom floor with the mints. What ensued was a thirty minute chase, upstairs, downstairs, through Macy's, and finally outside to the packed parking lot, where we we were eventually cornered by a dozen security guards and almost half a dozen mall security vehicles. I will love Fair Oaks forever. Thank you for this video.

So mad about the fountain. I have vivid memories of running my hands along the edges while walking by throughout my entire childhood. It’s enough to cause a person to drive to Tysons instead… 😉

Thank you so much for this video! Fair Oaks Mall was my childhood mall. I will never forget riding the Hydraulic Jewel elevator, and descending into the pool of fountains. Those fountains are still the backdrop of many of my dreams. Love this mall and your video!

I worked at Hecht's for a while. I also remember camping out in the parking lot to get tickets to concerts from Hechts.

Aww man. Memories!!! I used to go to this mall in the 90s. I remember being able to smoke in there 😂😂 my friends and I would walk around smoking cigarettes like we were cool as shit.

My family moved to Chantilly in 1986 and the fountain was there. I remember pretending that giant black sculpture thing was a giant laser canon as a kid.
