The NBA tried to crown every single team in the west this entire year. First it was Denver, then it was Minnesota and now Dallas. Meanwhile the best team was in our faces the entire time.

Danny Ainge deserves a ton of credit for this run. He hit grand slams on the Brown and Tatum picks. Brown, OK he took a guy at 3 who some thought was maybe a reach but Simmons and Ingram were the consensus top two. Jamaal Murray and Sabonis would have been a great pick as well but there’s landmines all over the place like Drogan Bender and Kris Dunn. Then he has the brass balls to go against the entire basketball scouting and talking head world and say “I’m good” on Markelle Fultz, trade back and draft Tatum. The Sixers ended up with two number one picks and netted Simmons and Fultz and the Celtics picked third both times and got Brown and Tatum. That’s history altering ineptitude by Philly, and no I don’t care that’s it’s “revisionist” that those picks sucked. Their job in real time is to nail the player evaluations and they screwed up after a half decade of tanking. Then he hires Brad Stevens, who somehow has done an even better job of GMing by actually cashing in on some of chips, Smart and Rob Williams, for objective upgrades like Holiday and Porzingis. And gets Derrick White! But again the only reason he’s there as GM in the first place is because of Ainge. Thank you Danny Ainge you beautiful Mormon bastard! ☘️

Celtics have so many guys with no ego. You can criticize Tatum as much as he deserves, but damn, this team has no goofballs who want to capsize the team. Jrue and White have never said a non-pro team, ego-driven comment in their lives. Horford is hyper competitive and is a total team guy, Brown and Tatum have gotten over themselves and Brown especially plays with an edge that works for the team as a whole. Porzingis is always laughing and hyping up his guys in interviews.

This was a great conversation to listen to thanks. I like the comparison of Jaylen Brown and Paul Pierce agree with everything said the only thing that I would add is Jaylen was the better athlete between the two. Also gotta say this Celtics team might be my favorite sports team of all time the way they move the ball on offense has been incredible to watch and the defense played by anyone in these playoffs that stepped on the court played at a high level or gave max effort.

So happy for Celtics. Spurs fan with no skin in game, well I get to laugh at friends who are mavs friends, but Boston been so good for so long and had some tough losses last couple years. It’s gonna be a sweet victory and no reason they aren’t favorites next year.

Doc Rivers is the last person I want to coach Giannis. I think he's a very divisive person. I personally think he hates Giannis, Marjon Beauchamp and he's just there to get money and use Giannis to get a championship. Do I think he cares if he gets fired? Heck no. He's got the money. Giannis is a 2x MVP. Giannis has won a championship. Giannis has a DPOY. For years now Giannis has been considered the best player in the world. In fact, Bleacher Report just released their top 10 best international players in over a decade and they ranked Giannis #1, Jokic #2, Embiid #3 and Luka number 4. Giannis is the best player in the world. Anyway, there's a bunch of reports out there that Damian Lillard got Adrian Griffin fired because apparently "Adrian Griffin wasn't running the Damian Lillard offense" (making the offense run through him). Dame and Giannis treated Adrian Griffin like trash. Did Adrian Griffin deserve to get fired? Heck no. Heck no. Doc Rivers too has been accused of going behind Adrian Griffin's back and got him fired. Do I believe this? 1000%. Long story short, Doc Rivers started coaching the Bucks and the Bucks got worse offensively. Dame got worse and Giannis got worse. Even Stephen A Smith said both Giannis and Dame are worse under Doc Rivers offensively. Doc Rivers mainly focuses on Damian Lillard. He makes everything about Damian Lillard. They have literally turned the Bucks into a Dame Team. Do I think Giannis likes this? Heck no! Would I like it if I were Giannis? Heck no. Dame and Doc have ruined the Bucks and I don't think Giannis thought it was gonna be like this.

Ratings are low in this series, but people seem excited about defense emerging again. My concern is if you build a team with an aggressive defense, like the 89 Pistons, and Silver connects it to low scoring, are you going to get Stern/Silver enacting Jordan/Ant rules?
