I wish all the groups working on this could work together and solve this problem already. I have some confidence that Yokohama University in Japan might be able to get us to the finish line eventually. I'm pissed off with Stemson though. They don't tell us anything and all my emails to them get ignored. Even Dr. Chaffoo is playing the silence is golden game with me. Sick of these clowns promising much and delivering nothing, not even any updates as to what areas have been figured out or improved in the process.

I pray things go successful with stemson. When are the human trails set for?

Stemson Therapeutics is hiring people to organize human trials, but the problem is they're most likely stuck right now on the mini pig pre-clinical trials. Likelihood is they haven't optimized this yet and until they do human trials are not going to be happening. I bring up the pig experiments to people at Stemson and never receive a reply as to how they're panning out, which tells you that things most likely can't be looking good. Heck, in my comment here I ask Dr. Richard Chaffoo, how are the pig pre-clinicals coming along? No answer. What does that tell you? Now in California there's a group called dNovo. They produced excellent results on growing hair on mice. A contact told me to get to their next stage of testing will be around 2 years. Why so long? The way things are looking I don't think a cure is coming, unless you're a mouse. I say this though, if curing hair loss were as important as treating Covid, it wouldn't be taking this long. The sad truth is so many advancements have been made and they still can't figure it out. A hint though is transplanted hairs are able to regrow. So one would think that as long as you have the components used in a normal hair transplant that it should work. The question is why isn't it in cloned hair but then why is it working in mice?

@@emilphoryew9436 thanks for the reply, where did you hear that stemson was already hiring people to organize human trials before making steps in their pig trials? And i just looked at a couple articles regarding dnovo, sounds promising. Another company focused on reprogramming stem cells. 2 years is a very short time for anything fda related, in order to understand why it’s this way you have to look at how these regulations and regulators are set up. I doubt they will have human trials in two years because I’ve never ever seen any company come through regarding their proposed timeline in human trials. I have lots of hope for the future though, I would be very surprised if we don’t see a cure in 20 years or less

@@jug2262 Actually Stemson just hired a Senior Research Scientist a few months ago. Part of the job is to help organize the human or clinical trials. Does this mean a clinical trial is coming soon? I highly doubt it. A lot of people are complaining as I am regarding not knowing the situation of the pig experiments for human hair growth. Yes, CEO Geoff Hamilton admits the trials have begun for them but how they're panning out no one knows. This pig trial is a really important part of the process because if they get nice results from the pigs, it means the chances of it working on people are just about guaranteed. Stemson picked pig skin to use their experiments because it is closest to human skin in structure. In my situation my hair won't regrow due to having both non-scarring and scarring alopecias. I believe I have burnt-out lichen planopilaris. The thing I wonder is how the administers of this therapy will deal with people who have diffuse thinning hair as a result of these conditions? How will they find all the spots that need grafts added to get the correct balance of hair? I could get the cloned hairs and still the result may not look equally full with the rest of my hair. Really if the thin patches could be covered up to where I won't see my scalp I would be satisfied. The thing is Stemson is being silent about the results of their experiments. There must be a good reason why. They did mention the results from their mice. Why the silence on the pigs then?

@@AdityaSingh-xu6yb Nothing at all. I’m getting the silent treatment from Stemson. They seem scared to make anything known, likely fearing a competitor will get an advantage on them. I really don’t like their approach of keeping the public unaware of their progress. If we learned for instance that some pigs were able to grow human hair, this would be a major relief to hair loss sufferers because it would mean a cure is doable in people soon. What I can say is they’re working diligently, which is most important.

Dr. Chaffoo: I know you're reading these comments. I have a suggestion. We know that human hairs can grow in mice but getting cloned hairs to grow in larger mammals has been proven to be more difficult. There ought to be an experiment done where we transplant the human follicles grown in mice back to the same individual who provided them. If these follicles survive in that human being , grow nicely and repeatedly cycle, this is a good sign that there is a solution available, although not a great one. Ultimately we will want to avoid the mouse carrier as Stemson develops and improves their method. Could you bring this possibility up to the company? An answer would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I live to see the day they bring a cure to market. I have roughly zero confidence they will unfortunately. I probably have a better chance getting the jackpot of Mega Millions or Powerball.
