That barn has been used a few times in your recent seasons. It was the place The War Doctor took the device w/ the red button during the Time War, in the 50th Anniversary Special It was also where Clara accidentally became the 'monster under the bed' when she accidentally scared a preteen version of the Doctor in s08e04 "Listen"

It's such an emotional ending to The Doctor and Clara's time together. It's very sad, and Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are some of the most talented actors I can name. So much emotion in so many subtle ways. Also the Doctor being half human is a thing that's kinda debated as it's basically a thing that was said in the Movie but people often dismiss it. Also fun line you may have missed, the Doctor saying in the cloisters about how he didn't steal the president's wife was a reference to a thing Missy said in the first episode where she said 2 truths and one lie, and one truth was she knew the Doctor since he was a little girl. Just a nice nod to the fact the Doctor could be a woman

I always said Clara’s story would have ended well during Last Christmas, but she returned. I was initially happy with her Face the Raven death. Not that she was gone, but the way she died heroically and on her own terms. At first I was angry seeing her in the beginning of this episode. Her death had been teased too often. After this finished, I realized I loved this above the others. A fitting end for her heading back to Gallifrey “the long way round” with Me. She keeps up her adventures and the Doctor continues.

I've heard that a lot of fans didn't care for this episode, but I thought it was really good, and when the Doctor starts passing out and forgetting Clara, it always gets me. I think Class only lasted a season, I remember catching a couple of episodes when it was on, but don't remember much about it.

I like that through the diner scene you couldn't tell who it was that forgot until they told you. They played that off so well! This is a great episode for me and I love Clara's send off!

The way the Doctor delivers the line, "I had duty of care" ... it's like he's trying to explain something so obvious that he can't understand how anyone wouldn't see it. Clara is his universe; without Clara there is nothing.

As far as Class goes…I personally loved it and was sad when it was cancelled after one season. I believe it has continued in books and audio. It’s very different with minimal Doctor involvement. It’s a high school setting but not aimed at children like the Sarah Jane show. It’s actually quite dark at times. I say give it a chance as it’s only a short one season. Great complex characters that I would have like to have seen grow.

It's such an emotional episode so I knew you would cry. Another sad fact about this episode is that Ed's Diner in Cardiff Bay, which is where the diner scene was filmed plus other episodes, is no longer there. It was there before Covid and lockdown but was gone when I went earlier in the year.

I liked your reaction, and the fact that you liked the episode. A lot of fans feel disappointed about this one because they didn't want a new eipsode, but a continuation of the previous one. But there are so many great scenes in this one that I love it, like when The Doctor draws a line in the ground and an entire army does not dare to cross it, or when Clara asks him with tear in her eyes "four and a half billion years? why did you do that to yourself?" We all know not why, but for whom. I don't think the hybrid is mentioned again, but it is actually shown with the next Doctor. I have noticed people don't seem to notice, and they don't mentioned, but keep watching. It will be there.

The Hybrid thing, created for the last few of episodes (ending with this one), is confusing to me, too. As for the Doctor being part human, as far as I know, he isn't, although, in the 1960s, one of the two theatrical movies "Doctor Who and the Daleks", or "Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150" does have the Doctor say, "I'm only human after all". However, those movies, although based on the TV series, aren't considered "canon", inasmuch as none of the TV serials, to my knowledge, ever refer to them. I think the scene you watched between the Doctor and Ashildr/Me in this episode just has the two of them throwing up various theories, without either of them knowing whether there's any truth to them. So when Me asks the Doctor if he's human (i.e., part earthling) , it's just conjecture on the part of her character. It doesn't mean he is.

The doctor is not half human. What she was talking about was the hybrid being the doctor and Clara a Time Lord and a human.

The character name Rassilon in this episode was the same character in the last episode of the 10th Doctor. And no the Doctor is not half human ^^

Way back in the Zygon Inversion, I mentioned that the upcoming episodes would have some whoppers. About the Doctor being half human…that was suggested in the Doctor Who movie, starring Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor. The movie, supposed to create interest for an American audience, but unfortunately, it did not catch the American interest, leaving the show to go into hiatus until 2005.

DaVinci Resolve has a pretty good free version. Not sure if the free version will do all the effects you need, but it's definitely worth checking out.

Yes, Clara is going to die but only when she goes back to Galifrey. She has a tardis and jump around time with Me and have adventures of there own (A show i would watch). Also, I think the hybrid is The Doctor and Clara. The Doctors loves humans and Clara wanted to a Timelord. Class is a great show and should have gone on longer. Goodbye Clara, hello eeeeek I can't wait!

The Doctor and The Master are full born Time Lords the whole of The Doctor being half human was only mentioned in the 1996 TV Movie with The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) that was ignored in the continuity in NuWho for awhile but then it was brought up here in this episode as a hint that he might be but it's never been firmly stated that he is its up for debate whether it's true or not. I wouldn't worry about Class it's not really worth your time i didn't go any further than the first episode it was that boring i forget that show exists.

Two Christmas episodes next (the show took a year off, which was torture). I didnt watch Class at all.

So this story... I... Don't HATE it like most fans do. Again maybe I'm just a Capaldi Stan but I don't absolutely hate this episode. It's a fun mess, but it does leave the previous two stories feeling... Not empty but slightly devalued, like Heaven Sent was about The Doctor's grief, and now he never even remembers grieving, or that now Clara is effectively immortal, once again Moffat being too scared to kill off people, but that being said it's like... This is still a fate just as tragic, it's like the whole Donna situation but done to The Doctor. So, I don't HATE Hellbent... But it's a bit of an average, albeit fun, mess.

Also class is a show not many people watched compared to Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood, as it basically came out at a time there was no Doctor Who on for a year but a special and it was not well advertised, but it's a great show. Would definitely recommend it as it's a single series and easy to react to, but I'd say if you do now maybe just do the first episode, then decide if you wanna watch more now or after catching up on Torchwood (or at all if you don't like it lmao)

Biggest criticism of the modern show they are too afraid to actually kill off companions Amy and Rory the only companions to die and stay dead died of old age.

This is considered the worst episode of the Capaldi Era by many fans, so the fact you love it just shows how much you love Capaldi as The Doctor. Also, I don't know how far ahead you are into Season 10, but I have a feeling you'll enjoy his Companions for that Season.

So as I've said overall don't like season 9 and especially do not like this episode and it coming after Heaven Sent (arguably one of the best episodes in all of who makes it that much more of a letdown. When it comes to season 9 the only stories worth rewatching for me are "under the lake 2 parter", "Zygon 2 parter" and heaven sent, the rest is meh to bad
