This episode was brilliant. Ncuti put in a great performance, and it felt like his arrival as the doctor. I genuinely didn't think they'd be able to get so much tension out of the premise but they did it masterfully. Definitely one of the best episodes since Heaven Sent, Moffat proving once again that when he's not showrunner, he can write masterpieces. Best episode of Ncuti"s run so far, and it may stay that way for a while
This episode was good. I agree that the 3 previous episodes felt different from this one, this one felt more tense and serious (I thought we weren't going to have that). It's funny that it didn't need several scenarios to have a good story. I liked that we could feel the doctor's stress, since he had no control over what was going on. I don't know why, but I liked Ncuti's face in his “Life is cheap” speech. And when Ruby gets shot, at that moment you felt the Doctor's stress 100% and he couldn't do anything.
