One of my first thoughts when this was first leaked was that you'd be pleased to get that proper gunmetal dalek. I'm glad too, I personally like the genesis colour scheme best out of the various dark grey options, but I really like the day look and it's just a little bit different, it looks nice. I appreciated that comparison shot of the two golds, too, really gives a sense of how much better the new one is.
Personally for me the 60s power of the Daleks/Evil of the Daleks are the coolest Dalek designs I love the darker blue hemispheres because I think it makes it pop and I love how they look more robotic and machine like until you look into their eye 👁 and personally although I do love the 70s and 80s pupil Daleks the power Daleks were more menacing for me because I love the fact that it makes it feel more and more inhuman for not having a pupil. I also love the look of them I feel like they are the coolest and most science fictional Daleks. The only thing I’d change about them is I would make them slightly taller. This is just my opinion but idm if people disagree. I personally agree that the metallic Gunmetal grey version is the best version of this drone Dalek it looks absolutely fantastic. The Genesis one for me personally isn’t as impactful it just looks like a standard Dalek but more plastic and by the time we reach remembrance you can see the grey Daleks are cheaply made and they needed more level ground to work on because there are a few occasions where the actors almost fall over.
Hey Matt, you gonna track down another set so you can have two gun metal grey daleks like there was in the story? You put your spare gold dalek in your frontier in space display.
Totally going to get these to display on a shelf in my new flat. I don’t collect the figures anymore but these are two of the most stunning Daleks ive ever seen 😍
My gold Day of the Daleks supreme came slightly damaged out of the a package, strut at the top in which the dome attaches to an and the screw goes into is actually bent on my copy so when you put the dome on the dome doesn’t sit entirely straight (it’s not noticeable unless you go really close up but still a little noticeable). Apart from that I love my Gold day of the Daleks figure it supersedes my old one in every way because it looks better. I was also really happy to finally get a 70s/80s Dalek in gun metal grey because, for years I only had the gold day of the Daleks supreme and I have to admit they look gorgeous on shelf together I need to buy a few more to have an army. I also absolutely loved the 60s power of the Daleks set because it’s awesome. The drones were grey in day of the daleks werent they? These drones look more like planet of the daleks type. The gold dalek was the third of three dalek props so you never see more than two grey daleks on screen at once in day of the daleks. The extra dalek voices in the backgrounds add to the sense there are lots of them but the drone looks a bit too dark to me. They do look lovely and i could be wrong anyway i could have the episodes or what they are meant to be mixed up perhaps. Im going by the pictures in a magazine i got with the dalek parliament set with the smaller figures. Some could be publicity pics but even pics from day of the daleks episodes show the drones looking more like genesis grey dalek colour.
Only just heard about this range the other week. Gone to my local B&M and they have nothing, not even these ones. The people I spoke to didn’t even have a clue what I was talking about. Looks like I shall miss out on these :(
@@paulashe7460 I'm still trying to get my head around the idea that, out of all the places Character Options could've made these figures exclusives to, they chose B&M...
@@adamhickey396 I expect it's because B&M is the place that wanted to stock them. It's B&M funding these so let's be grateful for what we get! :D And no need to fear, these sets aren't out yet, but should appear in shops any time now!
I would think that if evil of the daleks had a set, it would have a emperors guard dalek, and maybe a retool of the destroyed imperial dalek with the ordinary slats maybe?
batmanmarch 15.4K subscribers This set looks awesome. As an American Doctor Who Fan I have always wanted a proper "Day of The Daleks" figure set with a Gunmetal Drone Dalek and well painted correctly done Golden Supreme Dalek.
It’s basically your genesis of the daleks dalek repainted perfectly and when will you do your action figure adventures series again? And I enjoy the special edition of day of the daleks.
I was told by the Staff of my local B&M that a single man bought the entire stock of Doctor Who figures right when the place first opened in the morning. I only came for a single Dalek set. This is unacceptable, scalping and excessive bulk-buying in this community needs to be addressed and both B&M and Character need to be held to account for it.
I went in Thursday morning bought 2 sets wanted get another 1 on the Friday the whole lot had gone some arsehole came in and bought the lot . So next time I will hide them around the shop to stop these scalpers
the one thing that still bugs me about the 60s and 70s daleks is that the bumps are a bit too spherical like the imperials and 2005 NSD design whihc isnt a big thing but would be nice if they would have made the change as they should be more flat like as tear drop shape as some would say as a dalek enthusiast myself all im looking forward to is the announcement of the 80s if they do get a re sculpt which is what Im dying for as every other dalek so far is right why arent the 80s yet, we will just have to wait and see, but the anticipation is killing me if they are keeping it secret and going all out, other wise I will be let down at this point with the collectors sets there bringing out as they are great so far just waiting for the 80s one for me thought and Ill buy the lot
Hey Batman march , i think on the gun metal dalek - two front solar slats look like some hair got stuck under the paint in the factory . -- If it were I would sand it to get rid of the hair. The paint you could use is Tamiya Dark Gunmetal Spray Can would fix it . ( thats what I would do )
@@mikesgtrs1 There is a shop in Ryde called Dr Who Central. The bloke who runs it has had the previous B&M sets. He also posts stuff out according to his website. Hopefully he will have these newer ones, he is a little bit cheaper then going on Ebay.
