For me the biggest hint at it being Sutekh is the scene from the Devil's Chord where the doctor takes Ruby to the future to show that without their intervention that the world will die. Because The Doctor did the same thing with Sarah Jane Smith almost word for word in the Pyramids Of Mars! (Like the scenes are eerily similar).

Well, even if it doesn’t end up being Sutekh, I think Susan Triad being confused that “in every dream she’s there” does kinda dash the theory I’ve been following that Mrs. Flood, Susan Twist, and the woman who drops off Ruby at the church, form “the fates.”

But in universe Stutekh isn't a god, he's the last of the Osirans an alien species as old and godlike like the Time Lords and I don't think the Toymaker would fear the second strongest Osiran. And if RTD didn't lie and the problem comes out of the third Doctors era and is godlike it's more likely a Daemon or something out of the Timevortex similar like the Chronovore. Even Omega is more likely, he basicaly developed into the lone God of the Antimateruniverse.

The things that have bonded Rogue to the Doctor in this last episode, were the things that he's fought the gods of. The One Who Waits is Rogue and the only way the Doctor stands him down is with the ring on his finger. Calling it now.

I know you mentioned Bridgerton, but I don't think you pointed out that an olde time version of Bad Guy by Billie Eilish was playing during the dancing, which made it even more like Bridgerton (I believe, it's not a show I've seen). That really struck me as an odd choice to play and changes it from, oh it's just a period adventure to something more sinister with these allusions to TV shows

Maybe either Susan Twist or Ruby is Hecuba, The God of Stories. If she's not the main villain, she COULD be a plant to help AID the doctor against the One Who Waits?

"Sue-Tech" is amazing, if it happens, but the biggest problem I have with the Sutekh theory is that Sutekh just doesn't seem to be in the right power tier. The Toymaker is an "elemental force beyond the rules of the universe" who brags about turning literal God into a jack-in-the-box and defeating the Guardians of Time and Space. It doesn't really make sense for Sutekh, who is basically just some random Osiran and part of the normal history of the universe, to be the one being that scares him off. Granted, maybe Sutekh as the villain is a red herring, and the "One who Waits" turns out to be Ruby or something. (Similar to the Dalek threat in The Parting of the Ways having nothing to do with Bad Wolf.)

I think it's all a tv show, Ruby is going to be a character. She won't be aware but its kinda like the Truman show where it's about Ruby's life and that's why she can control things like snow. Something along the lines.

In 73 when the doctor broke the fairy circle he had no idea what it was the second time after ruby heard what it was from the bar ...he knew exactly what it was to the point he told ruby not to break it . Its like ruby has power over memories

When I think of the title "The Legend of Ruby Sunday", it makes me think that it is referring to her, but it isn't her herself. Perhaps there's some kind of legendary god, like sue-tech, who is the legend of her that gave her the godly-like powers or someone else.

Problem I have with this theory is I don't consider Sutekh to be more powerful than the Toymaker.

Let's also not forget the Richard E Grant Doctor's Cameo. . . What if HE is the One Who Waits. . . . The Valeyard? What if the Great Intelligence WAS the Valeyard all along!

The big issue with Sutekh is he used an animated corpse and has no love for anything so odd that he has agents? Followers yes but he just kills them.

So, where does the Vlinx fit into all this? According to The Direct, RTD promised that the Vlinx (the Zeedex) would be seen again, “slightly upgraded.” I’m convinced that their introduction in The Giggle was oddly and significantly vague for a genius robotic being that has such control and influence at U.N.I.T., though I don’t know if it’s ultimately for good or ill.

I’m hoping both Sutekh and the Trickster are involved in these last two episodes, a Paragon of destruction and a Paragon of chaos vying for control of the Tardis, with Susan Triad and Ruby Subday being their Heralds.

Haven’t they said that there is a reference to the Third Doctor. Superstition etc was energy used by the Master to resurrect Azal. Susan Twists future persona looks like she has filed down horns on her head so maybe she is a female daemon. The weird noise at the end of the trailer also sounds like Azal. Daemons also influenced technology.

And that one episode where she steps on a butterfly her species completely changes.

My money is on Fenric. He is the oldest one and powerful enough to scare the Toymaker when even the Guardians didn't. He's also a game player and has placed a companion in the Doctor’s path before.

I think a lot of your points could also hint toward Omega. For instance, Omega was part of a trio {triad). They created time travel, so he can probably affect the Tardis. He waits a long time in the antimatter universe. Also, I thought someone had said an enemy from the third doctor's Era would be returning. I think Omega is one of the few third doctor enemies that hasn't already returned in modern Era (autons, Silurian's, sontarons). It seems like it will either be Sutek or Omega. Can't wait to see your review of the next episode so I can get an idea of what it is like. I can't afford Disney +, so I can't watch the episodes unless Disney releases them to other streaming services.

Sutekh is a "god" (sometimes called Set) on Earth, but in reality he was an Osiran (presumably an advanced and powerful alien species) according to the 4th Doctor. I don't know that Ruby's backstory directly ties into a _Return of __-Omega-__ Sutekh_ story any more than it did in the defeat of the politician, Roger Ap Gwilliam, in _73 Yards._ I kinda have the feeling we don't get all of Ruby's story until next season.

Unlikely to happen, but imagine if we have both Sutekh... and Omega, but Omega turn out to be a last-minute plot-twist good guy (for once) and joins forces with the Doctor against Sutekh, maybe because Ruby is his daughter or something..?

Its a fairly loose theory but I do think the woman who drops Ruby off at rhe church is just adult Ruby. I think Ruby is the child of one of the God's/Pantheon of Discord and to save her own timeline she has to drop herself off at the church. It also is a fitting ending for the character. She wants to know why she was abandoned as a baby but learns she is the one who abandoned herself.

The story thing is interesting with The Bogeyman in Space Babies being the first episode in this season. I have thought before that Sue's Tech company was maybe a cheeky play on words. But who is Mrs. Flood? How does she fit in?

And since the rumors of Sutekh returning are floating around, I looked up Gabriel Woolfs current pics and I think there are quite some similiarities in the facial structure. Maybe it is Sutekh after all and it’s like Gozer from Ghostbusters, he can appear either as a man or a woman. Aaaand maybe the „great“ actor in the finale RTD was talking about, wasn’t Sean Pertwee after all, maybe it’s the great Sutekh himself

I appreciate the mention of sutec but the salt is a bad example. The doctor had used salt before, when facing the daemons in the 3rddoctor. When facing the Fendahl the 4th But also during Battlefield, when Ace sat in a circle of salt to protect herself from Morganna... From memory though he didn't use it for sutec. It would have been better for your argument if he had. Interestingly, the Fendahl are described as being from another universe and that's also a 4th doctor. Although a Leela one.

I wouldn’t discount Omega. He too has servants that go ahead of him. He too is caught in another universe. They have already done three Docs on Tales for him, but it’s possible this new one is Arc of Infinity. Didn’t Russell say connections to an 80’s story? Also the three docs might be why we have a connection to the third Doctor and whatever is still in UNIT. Maybe it’s the recorder contraption?

Sutekh was completely mad. He was so addicted to death and killing that he did not allow him to do anything subtle and planned. Everything we have seen so far has been to well planned for it to have been created by a psycho like Sutekh.

What if this whole thing is a 3 season wide arc for Ncguti gatwas doctor and we will meet more gods in the coming seasons.
