Geronimo Guy - Honestly, you can infer all of those things from Christmas Invasion itself, the regeneration sickness is explained again in the episode, which explains why he crashed the TARDIS and why they didn't end up where he originally said (as if you really need an explanation why the TARDIS didn't go where they wanted anyway, it's hardly unprecedented). I never questioned any of those things for a second when I first saw Christmas Invasion, I didn't even know Born Again existed and I didn't feel like I'd missed anything. Also, I feel I should mention the transition from 11 to 12 is very similar in that the next episode doesn't pick up exactly where the last episode left off but there's no minisode between them in that case (and there didn't really _need_ to be, same as here).

Regeneration is the most painfully wonderful idea the show ever came up with. It embraces change. That's why it doesn't get stale. it can always reinvent itself in a moment.
Dan Brown Jodie hasn’t worked but hey ho every other Doctors have managed it. Hopefully Jodie’s Doctor can be took on a more serious path and make her an enjoyable Doctor.

This is my favorite reaction of all the ones you've done so far! Luke literally jumping for joy at the beginning, Deepa's face upon seeing the regeneration, both of your reactions to the other big moments in the episode. As the Ninth Doctor would have said, "You're both fantastic!"

I love watching people reacting to their first regeneration, especially those who didn't know that that was a thing. Great choice in the close-up on her face.

It’s great seeing someone going through a regeneration for the first time. As I grow up with Doctor Who I don’t really have a memory of me going through it myself. It’s nice to experience it via someone else.
The 9th is my second favorite, Tennant is #1 and probably most peoples, and then Matt, but I feel Peters/the 12th gets kinda thrown down into the gutter, he is a great actor and I think he brought something truly special to the doctors character. (I also have not seen the 13th Doctor yet, so I have no comments about her performance, but I hear she also does a pretty good job.)

So happy to see this in my notifications! Loved the last one you did. Think I read somewhere that originally, Rose was to leave the show at this point, this Doctor(9) was to stay another season and the girl from the Big Brother house was going to be 9's new companion. He decided to leave and Rose was so popular that the finale had to be changed.
Such an underrated finale! Honestly this ep hooked me on Doctor Who for life. And the best thing, is they also get better and better too! :D If also..... heartbreaking, but awesome all at the same time!

I've watched this about 5 time so far, just to watch Deepa's face again upon seeing the regen. You pair are fun, and Deepa is just ... well, hilarious, gorgeous, and sassy. Love her. :)
9th was amazing, Christopher Eccleston did an amazing job. He gave the series new life after its long slumber and that's something to be remembered for.
12 is My Doctor but 9 was my first ❤️ I’m so glad you guys are reacting to this properly :D I can’t say how many times I watched reactors not do certain episodes because they don’t want to or because they think it’s not important to the story of Doctor Who. Any whovian will tell you, you watch it all because there are plot points sprinkled in every episode that often come back later and are worth remembering. Like anything worth watching or reading you don’t skip episodes/chapters to get to the good parts. Not unless you’ve seen/read it a thousand times :D Sidenote- Doctor Who Seasons 1 - 10 are the best! 11 is okay at best, I like 13 but the stories themselves are lame. Only the first 4 episodes were decent. After that it all went down quick. I hope 12 will up the game up a bit because :)

you should do some classic dr who. Personal recommendations will be based on things to come later on, Gensis of the daleks, terror of the autons, the time warrior, the sillurians. Other favorite episodes are the mind robber, the time meddler, enemy of the world, inferno and the caves of androzani.
Great reactions to this and yes, my favourite doctor, from this revival onwards was Chris. Sorry to see him go, but he did great. By the way, Deepa is so cute and she's fun. Must find myself a nice Indian woman.
the daleks are essentially rage and hatred given sentience and form, these ones are a mix of survivors and human conversions so they're a tad bit more insane but that's saying a lot considering they're genocidal sociopaths at default
If you loved Eccelston; I feel you will either adore David Tennant or not be a fan but still like the show. Personally Tennant ranks 5th overall for favorite incarnations, tho I started watching back when Peter Davison was the active Doctor...(and I’ve watched nearly all the classic stories before him as well)
Definitely! I was utterly confused at the beginning of The Christmas Invasion because I hadn't seen Children in Need/ Born Again until the show came to DVD.
I wish they had given Eccleston at least the traditional three seasons that actors had playing the Doctor. He really was fantastic. Not that I don't LOVE Tennant. But they cheated Eccleston.
