Finally complete - my animation of a few scenes from The Daleks Masterplan.
Now in hindsight, I probably should have animated scenes from missing episodes of this 10/10 story, but the ones I chose to do are just so iconic, I couldn't help myself.
I started this animation about 3 months ago now, and its hit so many issues along the way. The final product, I'm mildly happy with. There are so many things I would change, but would ultimately mean a complete overhaul of the project, which I just don't want to do in this case - I just want to move on. Move on because, I've had something in the works that I'm super excited for.
This upcoming project was started almost 5 months ago, and whose inspiration was inspired by a recent RU-vid animation no doubt you have all seen. Very excited to have something to show you from it, just want to wait for the right time to do so!!

I would rather have the old Daleks any day! I hate the post McCoy octopus carrying GTI body kit Daleks, they are really annoying.

This must have taken ages, but I'm sure the payoff is worth it. I love this animation. Also, seeing the Hartnell TARDIS so clean and shiny and in full quality is pure bliss.

First class animation, atmospheric lighting makes this look fantastic. The BBC should look at this and give you a contract to produce the rest!

This is generally chilling to watch. You nailed the atmosphere quite well, and I think it has to do in large part to the choice of lighting, both in the environmental scenes and from the Dalek eyestalks. I can't help but imagine how scared I'd be seeing those on a hike in the woods at night. The way you animated their movements also helps to the eerie factor as well; gracefully fluid, yet mechanically precise(Like the Daleks themselves). It obviously helps that there's no mechanical whining noise effect along with it, since the silence is all you need & it would've given away their position a lot of the time. True, it wasn't in the originals, but the fact that you didn't edit those noises in means you know what makes the Daleks an uncomfortable force. Excellent work. Really outdoes modern official Doctor Who "animated" stuff to a higher level.

The ultimate goal of the Dalek Master Plan at it's most complex: "EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" ... that is canonically it. That is all there is. Literally just empty the universe of everything that is not a Dalek. Every single one of their plots and plans, is ultimately leading to that singular purpose. They haven't even thought about what they will do after. They basically aren't even _capable_ of thinking about what they will do after they are done exterminating, because the answer is always 'go somewhere else and start exterminating again.' If they can't have that as an answer they have no clue at all. When there is nothing else left to exterminate, the Daleks will likely give in to ennui in their sudden total lack of purpose and then, probably, proceed to self-terminate. The entire Dalek race will eventually, quite literally, die of existential despair.

How's I miss this?! Also, how is it that animation channels like yours and my alternate one are SO underrated? Animations are just dead to YT these days, despite the amazing work that goes into it. You should have 10X the subs you have.

@Lovesboba🧋 I personally don't feel that Mission to the Unknown needs to be animated, just because of that fantastic recreation we got a few years back, but if I were ever lucky enough to have the opportunity to animate Masterplan, I'd take it in a heartbeat - even if that style of animation is a bit out of my skill set. That being said, there are tons of far better animators who deserve the job before me.

In about 10 years maybe less you'll be able to tell an artificial intelligence to recreate all of Doctor who but in the animation style of My Little pony and it'll happen.

The DMP Supreme was so badass. No screaming, oddly calm in fact, and full of dry Dalek humour and menace. "You make your incompetence sound like an achievement" indeed
