“He’s not your friend, you keep trying to kill him” “He keeps trying to kill *me* ….it’s like our texting” The Master and the Doctor just hoping they force the other into a regeneration that can be convinced 😭
Can you imagine The Doctor regenarates into Missy, simply because The Doctor was going to a phase, and wanted to try what it feels like to be The Master. Simce picking that form will be less evil than the other versions.
They could have done so much with that like some shady guy drop of a part of a blue-print of a machine to the The Doctor thinking he has Missy then The Doctor will go looking for the rest of the blue-print
Generally, I'm not a fan of the Master. Just doesn't do anything for me as a villain. But Missy. Missy is my absolute favorite. I hated it when her time came to an end.
Who knows when The Doctor decided to make his dial. He could've set his will in stone before the master went completely insane. When they were true best friends and couldn't change it.
"Your best friend is in danger? Show me you care. Make me believe." I grinned like a maniac when Missy actually did what she said. The last time a companion was able to outsmart the Master was with the help of the whole world, but Clara had literally every odd against her and she demanded Missy give up her bargaining chip for the sake of the truth. She told the Master what to do. And she did.
"Since she was a little girl." This would make so much sense if the new Master was a regeneration before Missy. It has to be that way. The new Master also never mentioned being Missy or anything related to Missy. Also it doesnt make sense that Missy was about to be friends with the Doctor again and then regenerates and goes full rampage again.
How the Master is portrayed in the Moffat era doesn't make sense anyway to begin with. The Simm Masters personality developed a lot from season 3 to the tennant specials from being a cocky brat to his very insecure behaviour in "End of Time". Moffat just gives him lines like "Here's the face that didn't listen to anything you just said" which would perfectly fit him in "The Sound of Drums", but not in his timeline after the Tennant Specials. Apart from that, he is portrayed more like the Ainly Master than the Simm Master.
Do think that's a theory her past self shot backblast her and then she died then she started to regenerate into her next incarnation known as the Spy Master as alarm clock. And don't remember a the last time so how about this theory!
“Since the Cloister wars. Since the night he stole the moon and the president’s wife. Ever since he was a little girl. One of those was a lie. Can you tell which one?” Well… I’m guessing the moon was the lie.
SPOILERS NO SERIOUSLY SPOILERS Season 9 episode 12 Doctor "The last I heard he stole the moon and the president's wife" Clara "Was she nice? The president's wife?" Doctor "ah well that was a lie, it was the president's daughter, and I didnt steal the moon I lost-..."
@@eglotkalin if thats the lie then SERIOUSLY SPOILERS PEOPLE "since he was a little girl" is the truth and after tonights episode "the timeless children" oh my
@@Multiversal_Productions Not to mention (and I totally figured this out on my own, definitely 100%) the CyberMasters, or in other words, Hybrids that stand at the ruins of Gallifrey
Missy is the Best...wish they could have made he the new doctor who..or some story of her looking to save the original dr.who by taking up his "cause"...to save him or something....Missy dialogue is just pure magic to listen too
2:30 not important? Clara is The Impossible Girl, spread across the Doctors entire timeline. In a way she's the most important companion ever. BTW they really should greenscreen a bunch of footage with Jenna Coleman with various generic dialogue and use it as Easter Eggs in future episodes, having different versions of Clara saving the Doctor in the future.
Isn't it implied she only saved and interacted with Doctors from one to Eleven? She didn't recognize 12 and was even taken aback by his face when he regenerated, nor did she know any of the previous doctors like Ruth.
@@Mah92812 Idk, didn’t she jump into his entire timeline? I understood it as she doesn’t remember her scattered lives, only the moment when she’s lost and the Doctor finds her - that or it’s fading like a dream. When presented with 10 in the 50th special, and asked if she remembers him, she says « vaguely ». It wouldn’t be good for her to have all those existences smashed into her memories, she’s not the sum of them, rather they were based on her. But anyway I would love for her to make random appearances here and then, that would be fun and keeping the continuity
bro what the hell are you talking about. she’s talking about her friendship with the doctor. their friendship is older than the entire earth. it’s such a direct, blunt line. how did you misinterpret it this badly, why are you injecting a theory into an incredibly straightforward line?
@@Kurotama11so you saying 12th went john wick by the end of season 9? anyway, she's most certainly wrong. the companions are most certainly the doctor's friends, the dynamics with each are very clear. missy is speaking out of jealousy.
@@blazypika2 I mean, some people are more friendly with pets than friends, so the term isn’t really indicative of closeness or treatment or anything like that….I just don’t think he can ever truly *be* friends with a human It just like, the Doctor shows up randomly and basically fosters a human for a year or two before moving onto the next (for whatever reason). They are literally called “companions” like how animal lovers call pets “companion animals” because pet is demeaning….and the Doctor is certainly an animal lover. Even 12 constantly says about Clara “I have a duty of care” Companions are definitely not *equals* in his mind as a friend like Missy would be, because no matter how close they may get, the Doctor always has to be aware that they get *one death*
@HeartFeathers even then tho, it’s kinda understood that like “no, this will never be a legitimate relationship because it can’t possibly be from the perspective of a Timelord” Like the only Doctors that ever get to even come close are Meta Crisis and 14 and even 14 apparently still goes on to regenerate (?)
This comments section is full of cringey Tumblr girls going “OMG, It wasn’t a lie”, as if the timeless child wasn’t the single worst plot twist in sci-fi history which will be immediately retconned as soon as someone who isn’t Chibnall takes over the show.
seems a reasonable assumption considering there history.. more like siblings that constantly fight often viciously, but under it all theirs a bond that transcends it all.
@@johntowers1213 The whole "bond that transcends all" is a new phenomenon, a NuWho focus on the Doctor's feelings and whatnot that I've never found particularly convincing. Yes, the show tells us that it's the case, but their history says otherwise. Both Roger Delgado (still the gold standard!) and Anthony Ainsley would gladly have killed the Doctor. Anyhow, I see the "friend" thing as a symptom of desperation on Missy's part. She obviously doesn't understand what friendship is, so she, like a victim/perpetrator of abuse, mistakes such abuse for love/friendship.
@@crabbieappleton The Third Doctor's Master had a whole universe to conquer with no Doctor to stop him and instead he went out of his way to mess with Earth for some reason
You know the more I think about it..I like to see Missy go up against the new doctor...it would seem to be one sided (Missy would eat the new doctor for lunch!!)...but it be fun to WHATCH...but since it is the doctor..you know WHO HAS TO WIN...and if that's the case it should be by the slimiest of margins...or not even win, but have the doctor bearaly survive the encounter...and the only reason why the doctor would live..would be because Missy allowed it..AND..thats Missy best friend....so what y'all think!??..,
Nah, they didn't. Just pissed you off because something changed in a show that makes change a cornerstone. Go back to crying in a corner and let the adults talk alright?
I haven’t been able to watch any of 13’s episodes, except fugitive of the judoon. Can somebody explain the story? I know a little, but it’s quite confusing.
Yeah I thought that was established but lots of people in the comments seem unsure, missy couldn’t remember John simms version which seemed to indicate it was a long time ago I think missy is the final master and there’s many regenerations in between
@@mortyjr8433 Missy can't remember Simm because of the events where the two of them met on the Mondasian ship. There's a reason two incarnations of the same time lord arent supposed to meet, and its not just a paradox issue. "The two of us here together puts the timeline out of sync. You can't retain your memories, so I don't have them"
I think that spyfall master is in Missys Grey area. Missy I the furthest incantation who lost all memories until Simm master. An unknown amount of incarnations occurred between Simm and Missy. So other writers can have their fun with the master.
@@odinwarlock2436 Big Finish: Missy use some kind of device to force split regeneration or I should say be-regeneration into Spy Master and The Lumiat.
I like how they're just trying to out-bluff/ power-play each other. Also, at this point Clara still lowkey wants bloody vengeance & Missy doesn't consider Clara a person, but both are willing to put that aside & team up to break the Doctor out of a pickle. (I think by the end both 'get' a little bit what the Doctor sees in the other, at least Clara.)
Basically, it's not a lie, if we suppose Missy says the truth and only one of these propositions is false, then, it would be the moon and the president's wife that's a lie. In Heaven Sent, the Doctor himself tells Clara it's a lie, that he never stole the moon, but lost it, and that it wasn't the president's wife but the president's daughter. Seeing as the Cloister Wars actually happened long before the Time War, it can't be the lie either, shame we don't have more information about it tho, it is actually theorised to be an attempted Time Lord uprising lead by a young Doctor and Master.
@@lucasaymeric9627 Wait a minute. Wasn't there a scene where Clara spoke to the Doctor as a child and he was a little boy at the time? For Missy's little comment here to be correct, that would have to mean that the Doctor 'died' and regenerated as a child, either shortly before that scene or shortly after it, which would be one of his original regenerations used up already. But that can't be the case because all his previous regenerations were supposedly accounted for and he'd used up all of his original batch of regenerations before the Time Lords intervened on Trenzalore. What am I missing?
What if Missy was referring to Thirteen when she said "since he was a little girl"? It's not unlikely that the Doctor and the Master would occasionally meet out of order, like River Song.
I doubt anyone involved back when Missy was on the show had any inkling of the whole Timeless Child thing, but that would be a reasonable explanation of that line.

i would say that missy is a sociopath, but thinking about it... she's not she literally believes that humans are an inferior species that she can toy with
Never cared for this scene. Showing Missy murder multiple people and then rub it in that they had family and such and then within 2 minutes Clara is fine to be BFF's with Missy and no one cares or mentions it again is bad writing. Missy had way way too much "It's fine Missy is a psycho!" moments that devalue the character. One of the worst Doctor lines of all time is 12 pulling some whataboutism to justify Missy having killed tens of billions.
Missy wouldn't know that and the Doctor is a time lord or doesn't matter either way It was the president's wife thing he didn't steal the president's wife.He stole his daughter And according to the wiki that daughter was susan the president was his son and said son was a bastard who tried to have them both burned from the timelines only to be killed by the doctor's brother who did not want to murder the doctor
1. Missy was awesome, she needed to be the next Doctor. 2. After the second guy vanishes, Missy gets a .30-06 migraine, orders be damned. 3. Clara girl-bossing got annoying, writers really wanted to push that angle.
People don't give Clara as much credit as she deserves. She is not your typical swooning companion. She took command and she went with it. It was such a powerful writing of a role that people don't seem to get. From the "impossible girl" she understood that she was far more important than any other person The Doctor had been with. And Missy just takes the Master to another level.
Missy is like me. I'm not a good person. I just don't pretend. That's all. The doctor knows what I'm talking about. You can't get results if you're "good". Learn to accept that. Learn to take advantage of it.
Yup, missy definitely takes place after the spy master. She dropped so many hits about the timeless child. Plus missy turned good before she died and the spy master is so bad
This confidence is not annoying, it's terrifying. Missy asked about her boyfriend, and she literally just shrugged it off. No hatred or emotion in her voice whatsoever.
Heh, the Master wasn't aware of how her lie wasn't actually a lie. Not at the time anyways. Bet her next incarnation... probably didn't remember this conversation tbh, but if he did, he probably found some mild amusement in the fact that the Doctor had once been a little girl.
OMG just watched Timeless children, Missy was not joking. She knew about the Doctors past before he/she did. This was what I called real forshadowing. This also proves shes comes after Sacha's Master because he had no idea.
Its utterly incredible at 2:54 their was forshadowing even in season 9. I just watched the Timeless Children. She was literally not lying about that fact. This also proves she comes aftet Sacha's master because he had no idea.
LMFAO. FORESHADOWING? That was mean't to be a joke that Chinball's decided to canonise because he's a piece of shit. Series 11 and 12 is not canon in the eyes of every true Doctor Who fan!
She's the companion to the doctor, knowing a hell of a lot about him, the master and other alien threats. Also, Missy asked for her. I'm pretty sure. She has a lot of useful information and leverage here. Why wouldn't she have an escort?
@@odinwarlock2436 why the hell should “missy” asking for her mean she gets escorted by secret service style cars?😂 missy was NOT that important 🤣 nor was the doctor until Moffat came and made him into a God amongst men. Back in the RTD era he was made to be important yes but nowhere near how inflated they made him look in Moffat’s era. Clara walking out the armoured car like she means business 🤣🤣🤣👍🏾
@Nile's Photography 1. Why is Missy in quotations? 2. She has every plane on earth suspended in the air that's kind of important. 3. You are right, Moffat treated the Doctor with more gravitas, but that's entirely within character and makes total sense. He's been kicking the ass of every evil alien in the universe and was singlehandedly one of the most deadly combatants in the time war. Both make total sense.
