Back in the early 2000s, Dodge did something crazy by taking a Dodge Viper Gen 3 500 hp V10 and putting it in this single cab Dodge Ram 1500. Then they gave it some awesome restyling and mated it to the Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission. As a truck, it still works, and yet it has aged better than most any vehicle in terms of looks and soul/cool factor.
Really the only negative of the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 is the fuel economy which is pretty terrible. I was averaging around 10 miles per gallon, and you can easily blow through the 20 plus gallon tank in an afternoon of spirited driving. But, there is nothing quite like shifting a 5,500 Dodge Ram SRT-10 with a gloriously easy-to-engage 6-speed manual and a V10. Really the main reason you buy a Dodge Ram SRT-10 is because of the awesome V10 which makes 525 horsepower and 500 foot-pounds of torque. The 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 sounds glorious too.
The interior cabin of the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 is on the spartan side. There is some SRT-10 logos, white-racing inspired gauges, suede/leather seats, and a decent Infinity audio system with a subwoofer. But beyond that, it's a standard Dodge Ram 1500 truck interior. Still, I found the Dodge Ram SRT-10 to be comfortable, spacious, and enjoyable to sit in.

Overall, we think the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 is a future collectible. With a low production run, naturally aspirated V10, timeless looks, and a cool factor second to few how can you go wrong. The best part, you can still use the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 as a truck and take it to Home Depot if need be.
