Hey Jomboy in last nights game Boston against Tampa that runner who stole home in the seventh inning was out on the throw to third on the play before he took both hands and feet of the bag after he dove back while the 3rd basemen had the ball on him. Like he said, he was just going for that base hit. Determined to get a base hit, and celebrate. It's a lot of pressure for a visiting pitcher ..tied game bottom 9th guy in scoring position. Not the same as the top of the 9th. It's more. It's all on you...All on you....That's the biggest weakness the Dodgers have in the series against the Giants. Winning the Wildcard gets you a new series without homefield advantage.

The baseball playoff format is one of the most hideous in all of sports. THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHY A TEAM WITH 106 WINS SHOULD PLAY A SINGLE GAME ELIMINATION GAME! PERIOD! And what do the 106 win dodgers get as a prize? A first round date with the 107 win giants. Time to change up the playoff formatting and ditch the division winners + next two team format.
