Can you really get washboard abs in just minutes a day? Consumer Reports puts the Ab Circle Pro's claims to the test. Check out our other exercise equipment tests: bit.ly/L8vhHw
I have been using this every single night for 15 minutes and I have already noticed a difference with how my clothes have been fitting. I love it and will continue to use. You have to keep at it every night for months and don't give up and don't eat like a pig ya know. Also don't go with the flow when spinning, actually feel your abs work when going side to side. I recommend it !
Well everyone i can tell you i was 238lbs 5 wks ago and use the ab circle pro with no other change to my diet. The only exception is i do 2x 10 minute work outs every day, morning and evening and rest the weekend. my weight is now 202 lbs and my body and lifestyle has changed dramatically it really works for me!! I realise everyone is different but you only get out of life what you put in, always remember that!!
They confirm the device targets the core muscles so if you are not concerned about loosing weight and just want something to isolate the ab muscles this might still be a good piece of equipment to have. "Testers found that although the Ab Circle Pro does target your core muscles," 0:43 - 0:47
It is a good ab machine. I will call myself hard core because I workout 6 times a week for 2 hours. Try keeping your feet together to insure that you are using you ab muscles. I tried doing it for 10mins. and it was the first time that I felt like throwing up after a workout.
This machine does work. I remember I bought it when I was in year 6, I lost 5kg in 2 weeks, however I didn't touch it again for 3 years. I started using it again today, hoping to loose the same amount I did the first time I used it. The Ab Circle Pro is very good for weightloss, however, the advertisements do bend the truth to a small extent. All in all, I do recommend the 30 day trial.
i used to use it at the gym. it worked perfectl with 10 minutes daily . i lost weight around the waist just like i wanted. with diet though. im going to buy one now.
Ab circle pro is great for those that have sore backs as well. It does help you lose weight. Yes it is true you have to take account for how many calories a day you consume. Just be smart about it. Eat almonds, lean meats like white chicken meat, lean beef, avoid sodas, white bread. My cousin for example lost 43 pounds off eating large amounts of canned beans, salads, gatorade for two months! I like to keep my muscle tone and burn as much fat as possible. I just bought this today.I Like my brew.
I bought one off Kijji after my accident. Have a metal plate in my wrist , i'm unable to do pushups from the floor and also have degenerative disk disease so one leg does not have a full range of movement . Sure it's a gimmick for healthy built people but this has helped my pain in dealing with sciatica also. I'm able to do push ups now because it has strengthened my shoulders after frozen shoulder. Of course any gym work out equipment also entails other free body workouts with cardio and proper diet. Duh .lol. I'm in physio so i give this so called "gimmick" 5*'s for helping me through when I needed this. It's strengthened my right leg considerably. Because it does burn calories like she stated..whats so wrong about doing this .oh ya.. she wants everyone to go on a brisk walk..i can't in the winter darling, so I'm exercising inside my home burning calories like you stated it does and targets core muscles like you stated it does. I'm eating right too..sorry consumer reports..it's worked for me. Thanks Kijji. Best 20.00 I've spent on physio.
My mom bought this off of HSN. lol! As they mention in this video, swinging back and forth on this for 3 minutes everyday and still gouging on peanut m&m's on a regular basis isn't gonna get you the advertised results. You HAVE to include some form of regular aerobic exercise and a low calorie diet ALONG WITH abdominal training to tone your midsection. I do like this machine though. I like the fact that it's a more active form of ab training. I find crunches boring (though I do those too).
i came on here to see the difference between the new one and old one. one is 60$ the other is 120$ so how are they different? one is red the other is silver. and would using this also help w lower abdominal fat?
I always loved consumer reports I used to raise money for them when I worked at a company that raised money for non profits. They are unbiased and they don't take free samples and non monetary donations. If they say It I believe it.
thank u so much for posting these reports....i found ur site by accident im glad i did because next week i was going to purchase the ab circle pro.... i will now be saving myself the couple hundred bucks u said at the end:)
I'm just wondering if it's worth spending $60 on. Excess cargo has them brand new on sale for that. I'm usually pretty good for hitting the gym, but want something small for at home.
I'm sorry, but any workout machine and any type of exercise requires a healthy diet! It's not like you're gonna go running every day and then go eat a burger and fries..idiots! You always need to have a healthy diet!
maybe 3 mins is not enough, cuz i have it and i workout on it for about 15 mins a day, by the time im done im covered in sweat and my abs r sore, after doing it for about a week and change and i am beginning to see some changes in my body.
Like anything, it works as much as you put into it. Don't use momentum and crunch your elbow towards your knee on the turns. Buy a pair of pads to cushion against the hard plastic and some skin tight knee braces so you don't blister and sheer your skin off. As for quality, my gf uses it 30mins a day (shes 115lb) and I use it about 3xweek (Im 210) for 15 mins and its still holding up just fine. And do be careful to not slip out of the dam thing! Or.. you could just do some stomach crunches..
I'm already on a reduced calorie diet and exercise plan. I'm not looking for a quick fix with this machine, just want to work my abs more. I didn't have to buy this machine either, it was given to me by someone who bought it at a garage sale for $5. So.. all that in mind, I think it's a very decent machine. I definitely feel the burn in my abs after just 3 minutes. Not saying that 3 mins is enough for a good workout, just saying I feel lit.
My question is does it firm up your abs? I know you have to reduce your calories in order to lose weight! but I also want firmer abs and I can't do traditional sit ups hurts my neck.
Well I have started watching my calories already, I'm slim but I wanna get more toned so this might be worth looking into. I've also though about getting a Flabelos machine too. I suffer from migraines and exercise brings them on so I avoid anything too strenuous, sounds like an excuse but its not.
I bought one of these ab circles when they first came out... like many others, I was drawn by the commercial and all of the happy, skinny people (supermodels, probably) that look like they were having so much fun while "swinging their way to washboard abs"! As someone who actually OWNS one, I was pretty disappointed with it...but, not because I didn't get washboard abs... I was disappointed because I HONESTLY could not feel any DIFFERENCE in my abs... When we target a muscle group during our exercise, we expect muscle soreness the next day... I LOVE the muscle soreness because it proves that I really worked out hard the day before. I NEVER got any muscle soreness in my abs... I felt the soreness in my ARMS by using that machine, which I found to be very weird. And YES, I DO know how to use the ab circle... This machine did not target my abs at all... I got more results by just getting down on the floor and doing a traditional crunch... and my abs were on FIRE the next day! As the lady said in the video, the Ab Circle is not needed. We just have to have enough discipline to eat sensibly and exercise regularly. I'm just mad that this lesson costed me $200 bucks... but I was in my early 20's at the time and I was VERY naive! Still a lesson learned! Oh, and P.S. To the fellow that asked earlier in this thread, YES IT DOES hurt your knees... there are these really thin (REALLY thin) knee pads that come with the machine, but they were a joke... I just used a pair of rolled up socks in each knee pad during my work out! LOL!
Im 13 and i got mine like a little under a year ago and it hasnt done anything for me, one of the nee things is like broken and it squeeks. Plus its boring as hell and hurts your nees I will say i dont use it 3 minutes everyday but it will give you a workout in order for that to happen you would have to do like 10 minutes on it. Regular push ups and sit ups or crunches can do the same thing only better. I use the ab circle pro just for my obliques. Im like 120lbs and i got down to 115 without.
i tried using it..i gave it away..1st off it hurt my knee caps since it has an indent in the middle off each knee placement area..2nd my knee slipped off and my knee slammed into a metal piece below..brusing the side of knee..luckily nothing was broken.
I just found mine in basement and dusted it off. Brought it upstairs. I haven't worked out in years and I really feel it in my love handles. Boy my love handles have gotten out of control. Im Determined to use many of my exercise machines /. equipment as much as I can and switch them up so I don't get bored with one. I'm tired of being tired.
Lookin for info. I hav many major spine issues. Was wondering if u thought this wud b ok, to help strengthen my back? As I can't do normal crunches anymore. More or less afraid to hurt myself further. Do any of u hav back issues, that use this. . . I already own it. I just need help. . .
HI i have it i was 300 but after a lot of work outs i am down to 220 so yes it works i would say buy it use it for 24 weeks 3 min or 15 or the 1/2 hr and at the end you can post on here what you feel and think thank you all
i used it 2.5weeks and lost my belly bump aftr second baby 2013 .. and aftr first baby 2009 i had used it just 8 days and belly was flat.. awsome machine.. u just need 10min max a day .. but sadly machine fell and lost balance so now im lookn for another ..
just borrowed my friends ab circle pro, the cheap bearings sticks, the knee pads hurt my knees, i didnt even feel a burn, just hurt my back, nothing compares to P90X ab ripper X work out video and the moves for the video are on here.... and he paid $200 CND for this contraption. How is it supposed to work out ur abs? its kinda working ur obliques
i got on and i like it i realy feel my abs working its fun its easy i havnt had it for a long time but i already beleive in it of course it will probly take longer then the infomercial says they all butter it up but so far so good and for you that say your knees hurt i suggest whering pants to help but it doesnt hurt mine
i've bought myself a knockoff almost 3 jears ago and i'm still using it every day, my gf was at 95 KG and it held like it was nothing. If I remember correctly, the limit was~130KG
i think it work but not for 3 MINUTES!!. its like a treadmill you cant expect to burn alot of calories walking for 3 MINUTES!. its all about effort. i usually do this for 20 minutes after my p90x ab ripper workout and my toned abs are getting better and better. can't wait for the beach
i was rly fat and i went on the ab circle and diet but i ate less then the required amount it said and went on it for 40 mins in the morning and 20 mins afternoon and i lost 10 kilo in 2 weeks instead of 5 - it does work.
It works, just have to do your exercises correctly, flexing, breathing right and keep up with a healthy diet for life, it works I have one and I love it, wasp waistline I have lol
i use it daily, but NOT for 3 minutes though, i use it 'till i have reached 600 rotations= 300 reps. You'll feel your muscles after that!!! For the 75 Kcal you've burned with 300 reps, you don't need this machine but for tuning your abs, it's great if you put the effort in it
NikKast1981 I tried an hour a day, and lost 30 pounds in a couple weeks. That being said, keep the track clean and use some WD-40 or else it'll only last a month.
Really? Ok thanks. Do you know of anyone else thats had the same experience, or are you the only one you know thats worked with it. Also...are you following the diet, and how much do you work out on it? Thanks for much for commenting!
i only paid 16 dollars for mine but someone in furniture at the thrift store i got it at, did not notice the locking pin was not with it. i saw it on the floor one moment then it was gone. so i cannot do the workout the greatest. plus being short there is some strain on my neck. i already reduce my calorie intake but theres not much other exercise i like except bike riding and swimming... the first one being i would have to lift my bike up and down 2 sets of stairs every time i wanted to use it. not something i care to do
The best abdominal machine on the market is the Torsoplex. This abdominal machine works your lower abs, upper abs and obliques all in one motion, Check it out.
my family brought one brand new so while I wasn't swimming I could still work out the second time I did it my knee slipped and i went face first into the metal broke my nose and a bit of bone from my jaw. I would suggest against it, weather or not it works I don't know as I said I only used it once but to me it seems like a death trap the knee cup things are useless and slippery and the hole thing seems unstable. just saying..
thank you for your comment. i've bought it and tried it today for the first time. the knee thing was indeed very slippery.. i need to find a solution for that. if i didnt see your comment i wouldnt cared and probably end up with a broken nose too at some point. i hope your nose is fine today!
i was actually planning on buying the Ab Circle Pro. But since using it for 3 minutes is the equivalent of walking briskly for the same amount of time, I don't really see the use anymore.
love it how people especially the ladies think just by doing this exercise they'll look like them model. you've got to diet, do cardio and this machine DUH!!!! and lay off the chocolate woman
i used to be chubby but since i loosed all weight i have a lil belly knob with loose skin/under fat I just bought this and i hope it will help my core to tighten up, i look so silly cause im skinny but theres that darn jelly tummy left lol
well im buying it no mattter what this haters are saying ; yeas you can lose wight just by cutting back in calories , but prepare to be disapointed when you ve reached your goal and you still have most of that belly fat arround your mid section. CUTTING ON CALORIES ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH !!! YOU NEED TO EXERCISE IN ORTHER TO GET THE TYPE OF BODY YOU WANT AND LOOK HEALTHY PEOPLE!!! and there are not many exersice machines out there at that price that actually work your entire core.
How about am i the only one that has slipped off? I wass digging it used it alot woke up one morning with blisters on my knees i was like wtf?! Since then i t fd up my routine -_- \
i would not get it unless your board. you litterally have to watch it because the pads dig into your skin and you can use it litterally all day without your abs feeling anything. only thing you feel is where the angle is awkward on your upper body. decent on the hips but not the abs.
This video is just telling you if you can lose weight or not from using the ab circle pro. They are right you do have to go on a diet to lose weight but the ab circle pro really does work your abdominal muscles. So if your already skinney and want abs this is the perfect machine. But don't expect results right away. It takes up to 2 months to see results.
