In my experience M+ players have a better time adapting on the fly to unexpected changes without screwing up. My experience with raiders have been that if things doesn't go as planned they are clueless. Now ofc my experience is not a very accurate sample size of how knowledge transfer, it's just my experience. I agree M+ teaches players better to be independent. And also, M+ makes your contribution more valuable just by the fact that it is 5 man content. In raid u can get away with minor mistakes and even a death, in a high key that screwup can be the diff between timing the key or not.

M+ master race!!!! Raids are mostly dodge this, dodge that, place the mechanic to one place, hit the boss. I did couple of bosses in HC not even knowing the fight at all and survived. 😅

Any time we talk about raiding anything below the last 2 bosses of a Raid on Mythic difficulty is not even up in the running for comparisons in terms of difficulty

good point. thats why i wish they would not make you have to raid to get best in slot items or vice vs if you prefer to only raid.

High end M+ takes more skill than high end raid due to the fact you must use your entire tool kit, but on the other hand it's easier in the way that you only have 5 people vs 20 to make a mistake and wipe.

Yeah but that ain't content difficulty, that is just people management difficulty, so in that sense M+ is still "more difficult" imo

@@bojnebojnebojne not exactly, As a healer, managing 20 people's HP is a lot harder than managing 5. Knowing where to stand to be in range of everyone who would need heal while being safe is much more difficult in raid. In high level m+ It starts to turn into, do we have enough defensives + gear to survive this hit? Healers in raid scenarios use most of their kit. Its just dumb dps who never really use things lmao.

@@kmputertechsupplies2374 Yes, i won't argue against that, from a healing perspective. What is difficult ofc depends on the role we have. My take was 100% coming from a "dumb" dpsers perspective :) But raid is still very much rinse and repeat more so than M+ is, even though m+ at the very highest level ofc is also somewhat scripted in how things need to go what order things need to happen like who use what, which defensives, who interrupts what? Etc etc. But, there are a lot more moving elements that can go wrong in M+ than it is in raid imo. In raid it usually always comes down to someone just failing to do what they are supposed to do, not so much that u run out of options because of toolkit being exhausted which is usually the case in M+. At least that is my experience as brainless dps. :)

@@kmputertechsupplies2374in a raid, you have 3 other people helping you heal. Raid healing is extremely easy. People over think raid healing and that’s mostly where they mess up. You’re not trying to pump all of your heals into 1 person and top them off immediately. You cast your little spell on someone and the other 3 healers cast their spell on someone and that person is good to go. It’s really just wack a mole while dodging. Huge dmg events are better scripted so you know when you need to throw down healing and drs. The main difference is a healer in a raid saves the group and a healer in m+ maintains the group. If players are bad in m+, you’re not saving anyone as a healer.

Raid is set up timers to follow usually with a smaller kit of your spells, m+ requires you to adapt constantly as shit can become unpredictible in a blink, you also have to use way more of your class kit

The issue is that at higher keys in M+ when you are pushing to the limit. If you don't also perfectly use your rotation and cooldowns. You aren't going to be succeeding. High M+ is just a 30 minute boss fight with a fuck ton of more mechanics and things you have to do while consistently moving. If you start screwing up your rotation you will get gapped, I will kick you and the key will not be timed. Other way around You can raid and not have to worry about 50x other mechanics from each individual mob and a bunch of other individual affix responsibilities. I really don't think its fair to take any account of someone from raid or mythic being instantly thrown into the opposite and screwing up a mechanic; as its just obvious they don't know it. Same thing would happen on a low 15 key where they have been carried the entire time but now that they can't really screw up a mechanic they just flop. If both sides know the mechanics perfectly the Mythic plus side will always have to do way more, consistently more, and for longer periods sessions. RWF doesn't count as blizzard refuses to release bosses in a state that they don't need 50x nerfs before they are seen killed once.

This season i've met a 3.2k io ret paladin in HC terros, i inspected him (because i was also a ret paladin) and saw he had aoe talents. Whispered him about it and he said "i only know how to play this build".

M+ is a culmination of pvp and raiding. You have to know what to kick, let through, hard stop and not waste a hard stop on DRed mobs while doing mechanics and your independent job of tanking, healing or damage all while understanding what requires you to use a personal cd to live and not get 1 shot. The fact that it’s the only mode that is infinitely scaling means it is by attrition the most difficult content. Does this mean a M+ player is good at raiding? No. It does mean they have a greater chance of adapting to another mode than others.

I love the way we throw around generalities as if they are universal truths. Supposedly, tanks in M+ don't require healing, DPS use their personals to avoid taking damage, and healers spend most of the time doing DPS. Unfortunately, this is not at all consistent with my experience in M+. This guy gets upset because you interrupted his mobs. That guy doesn't know what an interrupt is. The tank thinks you're supposed to be able to dispel poison as a Priest. And the healer just wants to heal, full stop. We seem to be heading down the path we've already gone down with PvP. Soon there will be a different spell book for each activity and players who know how to raid will not know how to run 5-mans.

This needs to be re-evaluated from different role point of views. For instance, as a healer, positioning in raid is much more difficult. A standard rotation is not a thing in healing raid because damage is much more random per player priority. in M+ its either 1 person taking massive damage, or everyone taking aoe damage because of the ability to interrupt stops overlaps. In a raid setting, overlaps happen all the time. Healers use most of their kit in all scenarios. This biggest difference for a healer in M+ vs Raid...... Is how you gear. Raid is typically filled with glass canons which makes it easier to heal but harder to heal at the same time. lol. In M+... Vers + Avoidance are BIS.

In high keys to get insta invited you need CE/HoF + multi-hero + (527+) item lvl + wallet BoE stacker + meta spec/race/server. Yeah... it's not funny (who plays for fun in high keys anyways, just get the title and QUIT) In low keys... nothing of this matters. 0 raid exp, no hero, avg item lvl, no avoid/leech, wrong spec/race/server. The average pugger.

This video is only correct for Mid-Core or Casual Players who put in the minimum effort just to get CE or do some ~+12 Keys, but in regards to the High-End or Hardcore Players this video couldn't be more wrong. The top Mythic+ Keys absolutely become scripted just like a Mythic Raid End-Boss. Min-Maxing DPS is just as important in Mythic+ as it is in Raids. Every single GCD matters when any mistake results in getting 1-shot. Achieving something like Hall of Fame requires nearly as much movement and creative-thinking as doing bleeding-edge Keys require. Both a Raid-only HoF Player and a Mythic+-only top-100 Key-Pusher would learn the opposite type of Content significantly faster than the average WoW Player. And that's not even mentioning the far more important Soft-Skills that both types of Players learn while "Getting Good", skills like learning to remain calm under pressure, and how to take responsibility for mistakes, and how to fix those mistakes efficiently, etc etc. Skilled Gamers are Skilled Gamers, pure mechanical-skill is only a small portion of what makes someone a great Gamer. This video is basically only correct if you are bad or mediocre at WoW, no offense. @08:40 ... IZEN, dude, have you never heard of a "Shot-Caller"?? Mythic+ absolutely has someone telling the group what to do. It was interesting to see this perspective, the lazy-Player's perspective, but presenting this video as informative is Disinformation. I hate to Dislike this video because I appreciate the premise, but I can't condone the spread of lies. .... Wait WTF?! @16:30 IZEN suddenly does a full 180 and says that the skills actually DO transfer?! Okay now I am definitely Disliking this video. Either IZEN purposefully misled/clickbaited his viewers by presenting a false-premise only to pull a switcheroo after ~20 minutes... OR, IZEN doesn't realize that the entire first ~16 minutes of their video makes the complete opposite of their final point. So either IZEN is just an internet-Troll clickbaiting people, or they don't realize how badly they communicated their intended point. I would just remake this video my dude. The premise was great, but you organized the video backwards. You should lead with the point that the Skills do transfer, and only after you have established that should you go into the Devil's Advocate counter-arguments that you made. Cause as the video currently is, you spent 15 minutes playing Devil's Advocate against your own point, and by the time you revealed your real argument it was already too late.
