I do one set of dumbbell isolation supersetted with a bodyweight compound exercise for each bodypart, three times a week. For example, dumbbell flyes with decline push ups. At 57 I'm lean and muscular. I've tried every split and workout type, and this seems to be the sweet spot for me.
I have started rings training. Can hold top position with good form for about 10 seconds. I want to get to atleast 30 secs before trying anything else.
Well I don't know where all you folks are training but if you visit any penitentiary here in the United States you'll find inmates that do calisthenics and maybe lift some homemade weights, pillow cases full of magazines or trash bags full of water that kinda stuff and rely on peanut butter tuna fish and a little mechanically separated chicken product for protein and take no supplements and they're absolutely YOKED!
