I just have to be honest.... if Valentin usually speaks only in Spanish in everyday life why do people keep questioning him in if he speaks English? This is their everyday life, let them speak how they want. If Yasmin speaks English. Just let her!

Oh my gosh I can totally relate to Valentin. In high school when I met my friends, I would never have known they were all born in Mexico since they mainly spoke English and when they asked where I was from I said Monterrey because my parents are from there and I'm darn proud to say that. But then they found out I was born in the US and I was called a liar and was told your a gabacha or chicana not a true Mexican. When my Mexican friends that were born here would ask me I would say well I was born here but my parents are from Monterrey and oh man they would say I was trying to be white, that j was stuck up, and that I had the nopal in my forehead, bla bla bla. So I learned you can't please anyone. So as I say "no soy ni de aqui, ni de alla". Proud y agradecida de haber tenido la dicha de nacer en USA and not have to go through what many do but also darn proud to be Mexican in my heart y en la sangre que corre por mis venas. Me gusta el futbol ⚽️ y los tacos como tambien me gusta una buena hamburgesa y American Football 🏈. I speak Spanglish pero me entiendes right!?!

Aw.. it amazes me that Jaylin is speaking Spanish. I’m glad your husband speaks to her in your language. Kids these days can’t speak the language anymore. It’s just straight English. I wish my little nieces and nephews can speak my language so it’s easier to communicate to the elders since my parents doesn’t speak English. Good job jaylin. ❤️

Yo siempre digo que ni de aquí ni de allá. Nací en México pero me trajeron a los estados unidos a los 4 años de edad. I was raised un Compton, Cali and have now been living in Texas for the past 15 years. I speak Spanglish for the most part because I get stuck between the languages, constantly forgetting how u say things in either language. 😂

Two precious girls. I have two girls 1 year apart they’re best friends, don’t get me wrong si se agarran del chongo but for the most part they play all day together, one is 3 and the other is 2! It’s a bit hard but very rewarding ❤️I was born in Chihuahua but raised since 6 in Cali. I learned English within the first year I lived here and forgot Spanish, when my Abuelita would call I would feel so embarrassed to speak to her because all I could say was “como esta” lol 😂 I relearned Spanish after high school and now I speak both fluently. Just do the language swap video

Llege aquí a los 10 años y fui a la escuela lo entiendo y puedo hablar y escribirlo y todo pero cuando llege y empeze a hablarlo en la escuela me decían que tenía acento pero a la mayoría se les hacía eso bonito les gustaba y yo siempre lo tome como algo malo o algo que me hacía sentir mal entonces me detuve a hablarlo y hasta el día de hoy si son mexicanos nunca les hablo inglés solo español a la vez está mal porque siento que ahora se me está olvidando 😫 a mis niños les hablo español pero trato de seguir practicando mi inglés con ellos así que totalmente lo entiendo!
