Giving my Ex that time to reflect on our relationship during no contact has giving each of us both the time to reconsider/reevalute what we both bring to the relationship. BUT the most important bit of knowIedge I learned from all three of you is keeping my emotional self control! No one wants to date someone who is overwhelmingly anxious, they want someone confident and dependable. THANK YOU for the help.

More than a year since my break up and I used NC. And it does indeed always work if you're doing it for you. If you're doing it because you have high hopes of your ex coming back you're in for alot of disappointment. They dont always come back, but what does always happen is you learn to live your life without them. I thought she was the love of my life, but after being separated for a year I actually came to realize I might not be a monogamous person. So Im happy that we're no longer together

Just don't care about them and try to move on and you will see how the will come back. Problem is that they come back when you don't care anymore

I didn’t have a chance to thank you to you and your incredible team. Yes I believe no contact works,I did watch your first video since we got into a break . I followed you guys with lots of great suggestions and patient. Silence is a great key for break up with no contact, then I kept him a great space. While 2 months no contact I was focusing on making sure myself look greater, better, stronger,strong mind helps. Then my boyfriend he asked me back, he wanted to see me and would love to apologize in person. We got back together in early Sept,and now our relationship even greater and I thankful for us. After 9 months of no contact my ex reached out on the day that would’ve been our 7 year anniversary. We’ll see how it goes from here! I’m really thankful for the work you guys do with the videos, I worked through the knowledge 1-5 and feel like I learned a lot over these 9 months. Yes, for me it has worked 90% of the time. I heard from exes after 7 years, 5 years, 2 years and a little over 1 year. NC on my side. Radio Silence. I don’t always answer. I’ve only replied once to one ex.

No, it doesn't always work. Specifically when they jump into a relationship to avoid any introspection as a way to skirt accountability.

Me and my ex fell out in early August, didn’t speak for a month, she then texted me apologising for her behaviour. I called her, we chatted but she said didn’t want to get back together. I respected her decision, ended the call with her crying down the phone telling me she loved me, and went in to strict NC. 3 weeks later we match on Tinder lol and get back together. 24 hours later she breaks up with me again. It seems to me that NC does work and they sometimes come back simply looking for validation and attention from you again once they feel they’ve lost you.

Why do dumpers think it's OK to act cold towards the dumpee? As a dumper in the past I have never been cold to any of my exs regardless if they tried to get me back. I've always shown empathy 'cause man you have to feel bad they're hurt. People in this society are so cold with all due respect.

It worked 2 times for me with 2 different guys. Trust me, it works and it seems to work ONLY when you’re moving on. But one of the guys that I did it with, is now with me and we’ve been together for a year and a half, living together for 6 months. When your ex finally contacts you, you’ll either be done with them or give them another chance.

Thanks coaches for the videos! No Contact works, in the objective to do self-heal, self-growth. In terms of towards your ex, I feel that it is just a bonus effect. Some are lucky that exes reaches out, but others like myself have little to no chance to have our exes reaching out ever again. Unfortunately, some of our exes may not have committed in the relationship to begin with.

Recently worked for me. She reached out the other day after exactly 30 days of complete silence. We were seeing each other for 7 months before that. I got the 'need a break' talk. Will keep updated. Though, She may be goin to school a few states away come January. 12hrs away. She's a great woman. She basically said she's been thinking about me lately and hope I've been good, and thanked me for being so kind and loving to her. She also said she didn't expect me to answer. It's only been 3 days so I'm being calm and cool and not pushing anything. Let her do most of the texting and initiating

We talked for a few days after the break-up but my last text to her included “I’ve realized though that it’ll be better for my self to do no contact for awhile” and then told her to have a safe holidays. No it doesn't. I made the decision to break up with my ex as she was a lying cheating narcissist. But I wanted her back as I was blinded, I keep hanging on to the lies she told me, " I love you" and "ill protect your heart" 😠Now I never want to see her again but I hope she takes responsibility for her actions.

I replied im fine thanks why are you calling anonymously? He Hangs up on ME . I’m just chocked .. what did he expect ?? Hey Coach! What does depression have to do with a break up? My ex girlfriend was never really happy, but I did my best to help her, be the best version of herself. She then broke up with me because she said, she lost feeling for everything, not only me. Now a month later I see her on social media clearly looking for some guys attention. Seems like she got someone new right away which hurts so bad, because she clearly said I have to be alone (and I truly believe she meant it that way). Is she just scared to be alone or?

I had to break no contact (I left him) because he is in a horrible situation so I told him I would be near him in spirit.. I’m not happy about it but I feel bad.. I want nothing to do with him anymore. He’s a narcissist that treated me very badly. Did I make a mistake in answering his message? Thanks 🙏🏼

No contact sucks but ive been starting therapy an today i literally came to the conclusion the reason I'm anxious is my mother is always asking where i am or worrying about what I'm doing despite me being 29 she wants to know. And i realised sometimes i was like that with my ex without even knowing and now understanding an seeing it i fully get why it would be annoying. She left me an 2 weeks later is now sleeping with a guy she works with so its a complex situation even if i don't get her back which i don't think i will at least i can learn more about myself as a person and hopefully this time next year this will all be a distant memory and ill have got better at dealing with my own trauma and issues thank you all self growth is the best course but its very hard id be lying if i said days were easy there not i feel physically sick most days cant sleep wake up sad thinking why am i in so much pain an she is happy in bed with this new guy but those are self destructive thoughts I'm hoping they go in time.

i have somehow a particular situation and i'll try to keep it short. My gf broke up with me due to her depression and anxiety she's facing. Her life is VERY full right now and she's not yet over her last 5 year relationship which ended 8 month's ago. She told me she loves me in the 2 months we were together, took me to meet her family and friends (she's a very family person). She writes daily and even calls me every couple of days, we talk close to 1hour every time. I see she's suffering but can't be in a relationship now, she said that and i understand that but what can i do? NC or just be there for her?

It’s been three weeks since my ex said she was done and wanted to break. I have not contacted her since then. My ex has a set of my golf clubs in her garage and I have her kayak in mine. Margaret said in this one that the dumpee is reporting that they are talking to the ex every couple weeks and not to do this. You advise not to ignore your ex when they call. So, if they are the ones reaching oout every few days or weeks (for a very long period of time) then what do we do? Do we ignore their calls? Or answer? It doesn't always work, let me explain. Every once in awhile I stop by a CCK video since it'll pop up in my algorithm. I left my ex 3 years ago after I found out about her infidelity and lies. I haven't spoke a word to her since. She is probably thinking we will talk again or ill come back. Very high chance I'll never go out of my way to talk to her for what she did at the time. She's tried reaching out for the first 2 years multiple times but got ZERO from me. So NC doesn't always work. *EDIT* To clarify to those reading. It worked for me but will not be working for my ex gf. So no contact doesn't always work.
