Does STASIS Need BUFFS? (The Current State of Stasis) | Destiny 2 Design Analysis

The Stasis subclass has been around since Beyond Light, and was our first Darkness subclass in Destiny 2. Over the years Stasis has taken a bit of a backseat to the 3.0 updates for Solar, Arc, and Void, as well as the newly released Strand subclass. Is Stasis in need of updates to make it better? Is it fine the way it is? What does Behemoth Titan need to finally be used outside niche situations? Today we'll be talking about my thoughts on the current state of Stasis in Destiny!

One of the bad things about Stasis, Behemoth especially, is the fact that its main source of damage, the stasis crystals, are physical objects, meaning they often get in the way of your teammates trying to do damage.

You can entirely avoid this issue by throwing your glacier parallel to your barricade because they shatter instantly. Also, a clan mate, (who is a warlock main), and I had so much damn fun with howl of the storm, tectonic harvest, whisper of shards, and HOIL because so much freezing and shattering happens with incredible consistency. This with Verglas Curve is so fun to play. I even have a Brigand's Law with both enhanced versions of demolitionist and pugilist for even further ability regen, (not like it's needed, but having my damage abilities charge faster isn't something I could say no to).

I think that's kind of the point. It's not supposed to be a dmg subclass, it supposed to slow down and freeze thing. I think that's why people think it needs a buff, they almost always use damage numbers as their margin. Though yeah I think it does a little rework.
@TheJumpManiac
@TheJumpManiac 29 дней назад
@@danieltedrow3169 Thing is people use damage numbers for a reason. High damage is the best form of control/clear. It's the reason why solar is preferable to void on both Warlock and Titan, as Warlock focuses purely on keeping devour and void soul up, while titan is focused on overshields that they can barely get (Nightstalker is the most useful of the 3 void subclasses, only reason I'm not mentioning Hunter, though it does have its own issues). Stasis is fine as long as you can shatter the crystals quickly (shatterdive, wave frame GLs, etc.) because of the high burst damage being able to clear most adds, but if not then it just makes things more annoying.

As a behemoth main. Not really, my biggest problem is rime healing you actually. If it just immediately put on oversheild it would be so much better. Especially combined with chains, the dr goes absolutely crazy. But you can never get enough overshield, even on titan: who pops out shads like candy. So if titan can't, how tf is Hunter or Warlock EVER gonna get enough.
@gavinatorthegr835
@gavinatorthegr835 4 месяца назад
Behemoth main here. yes, I know, an endangered species. The first thing they should do is put whisper of fissures into the base kit, then make hail the storm the new whisper of fissures. Boom, much better already. Then, what they said they are doing, putting other benefits ontop of the shard generating aspects. But in my opinion, i think it should also just be apart of the subclasses, as only 3 fragments interact with shards and shards only give you melee energy. Then the other thing they said they are doing, reworking stasis overshield, calling it for now frost armor. If frost armor is even close to the power of woven mail, or give more overshiled like void, (and NOT give hp, screwing over the overshield) then the survivability goes way up for titan. Speaking about chains, being near a bleak watcher should activate chains for warlocks, and hunters grim harvest should add the artifact perk pillar of ice (final blows against slowed combants spaws a stasis crystal), allowing chains uptime to increase. Then, all melees should be way better, along with adding, becuase as of now, they kinda suck, like literally some of the worst melees in the game.

I think fragments and aspect reworks are needed. Overhaul the shard generation aspects to new aspects, add the shard mechanical generation to different aspects that would synergies with them. I find stasis is good, but all sub-classes can generate their associated pickups with fragments, and Stasis only has aspects, also those aspects are unique to each class: slowing targets generate Shards, Hunter freezing targets generate shards: Warlock destroying stasis Crystals generate shards: Titan. Built those instead into fragments and give us new aspect abilities.
@VATROU
@VATROU 4 месяца назад
Aspects I'd like to see should involve multi shattering crystals, with a weaker form of the seasonal mod as it's base. Some way to passively generate overshields. So it plays similarly to Void. Maybe slowing and freezing enemies and generating crystals just make shards of varying strength so as long as you're doing that you have a form of passive shields. Shards that are created without the need to shatter targets. And some aspect to help teams. Increasing the health of crystals and or letting them act like a Rally Barricade? I dunno here but a good team support mechanic like Banner or Grapple Points for Strand.

I was thinking it would be nice if the aspect that allows you to break crystals easier with primary ammo worked for allies also and maybe all weapons types too. Seems like the there's a struggle for stasis to synergize and not block other subclasses.

Quick correction on the hunter one, that’s the only one that specifically needs kills (on slowed or frozen targets) which also just makes hunters the most obnoxious to spawn shards on. Titans it’s from shatters (enemies and objects) and warlocks from simply freezing, but hunters have to keep killing constants to gen shards, which isn’t awful in lower tiers but in master up, while not difficult, is annoying

I always related the strength of Stasis to the 'old days' of trying to clear the Glassway GM or cheesing other endgame Master Raids, back in that sandbox/meta. CC/freezing enemies used to be strong in the game back when GM was actually scary - when we couldn't kill Wyverns and other beefy enemies fast enough so we had to freeze them if we couldn't burst them, and many things could 1-shot us (pre-Resilience change IIRC). That's no longer the case, we melt everything now and we have tons of damage reduction there's no point in freezing things now that we can kill things easier, the game has become easier in general thus the sandbox leaving behind Stasis. Short of making the game hard again, which I know is controversial for some, the simplest and quickest solution I can think of is just give Stasis more damage. There are many steps to go from Slow -> Freeze -> Shatter but the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Shatter should be doing way more damage, maybe they can start from there.

As someone who has been religiously playing Stasis Titan for a while now, I do agree with pretty much everything said about Behemoth and Stasis in general. It is a stupid amount of fun to Fortnite it up with crystals and shatter all of it to nuke an area with Hoarfrost, and generate about a dozen shards in the process. Plus, having easy access to cover and crystals allows you to kind of play wherever you want on the map, regardless if there is cover or not nearby since your abilities ARE the cover. It has fantastic ability energy generation, especially if you're running Hoarfrost and Howl of the Storm. The super itself is monstrous for clearing out rooms, be that red bars or champions, and can chunk boss health bars pretty easily once you get spacing down. It has so much going for it, but other classes just give more for less armor. I honestly think that you do not need to make too many changes to Behemoth as a whole. First off is survivability. The Rime nerf effectively killed Behemoth's ability to heal in PVE, with every shard giving a laughable amount of health. I get why the nerf happened overall, but the healing nerf was a step too far imo. That said, maybe Frost Armor will be able to give Behemoth some needed survivability, be it an overshield that regens with Rime regardless of your health or something similar to Woven Mail. Anything to let me play as more of a juggernaut would be great. Second is the melee. It... needs quite a bit of help. At the moment, I pretty much only use it for Howl of the Storm. I would personally make it so that it would refund half of the energy if you don't hit anything with it, giving it more incentive to be used as a movement tool. The other thing is that I would buff the damage it does to frozen targets by... Well, a lot. At the moment, it barely does more than just a regular melee to a frozen target, and given how it is supposed to be one of your main shatter tools, it needs to be worth it to use. Finally, and this is mainly for PVP, give it a small (fraction of a second) melee lock out so you can't double tap someone with it. The last thing for Behemoth I want to mention is Tectonic Harvest. This aspect is nuts, given how there is no cooldown for it. But, for it being as mandatory as it is for a lot of builds (especially now that we have Elemental Charge), I do wish there was some other effect. Now, Bungie did mention that they would add extra functionality to the Harvest aspects, which is great in general, although I don't think Tectonic Harvest needs as much added to it as Glacial and Grim. As for Stasis in general, I think buffing shatter damage in general would not be a bad idea. On top of that, reworking a couple fragments would probably be good. Rime will definitely get reworked, but another one I want is Fissures. At the moment, it gives a 12.5% damage increase, but the way it does it is really bad. Basically, rather than directly buffing the shatter damage, it adds a second shatter on top of it that is not associated with anything. Basically, this means that if you get a kill with that secondary explosion, it will not count as a grenade kill. Changing this to just be a flat percentage buff (and maybe increasing it) would make it actually worth using. Also, giving Stasis shards to some fragments would allow classes to move away from leaning solely on the Harvest aspects. Finally, Slow needs some help. It is a fantastic verb for PVP, but for PVE, it is just a step to freeze things. I honestly don't know how exactly to buff this,. though I have some thoughts. For starters, give slow a DoT effect in PVE only, similar to Scorch (and call it Frostbite). The other idea I saw was that slowed combatants would take extra damage from weapons only, and this could stack with Void Weaken effects. I could see either one working, but I can also see issues arising (such as Revenant Hunter becoming near mandatory for bosses in the case of the latter, and bosses' health pool increasing yet again to combat power creep.) Overall, I love Stasis. I love how it looks, I love the idea of transforming the battlefield to how I want it with Behemoth, but it just has a couple major issues that hold it back from being able to compete with other subclasses.

I like using my Stasis Titan build -- but I feel like I need to always use Precious Scars because of survivability, which means I could have that survivability anywhere. And, as mentioned, I do feel like I often do a bunch of stuff just to allow someone else to kill the mobs I'm fighting vs. any other build where I get to actually kill things and progress. Frost Armor would be great, would let me feel like I can use hoarfrost and have fun. Well, more fun than putting up ice walls everywhere then dying anyway.

Most of the time I try to make a stasis build, it just feels like I’m shooting my primary all the time and barely ever throwing abilities. At that point, I’m using a kinetic that does 10% less damage and throwing grenades that either do no damage or little damage once a minute.

Stasis could also benefit from having a way to buff the weapon to spread slow like ager. Relying on headstone for primary and chill clip for special/heavy seems very restrictive. All other elements have ways to spread its debuff through weapon: volatile, scorch, jolt, and unravel. Having a way to easily spread/apply slow would greatly benefit in pve. As to prevent that ability going rampant in pvp, allow it to only activate on shard pickup and have a shorter range/timer.

Someone mentioned below but yeah an entire Aspect is needed to just generate stasis shards while other classes do it on fragments. It's a huge cost for minimal benefit. Behemoth main here and CRL has got to be one of my favorite exotics in the game. I think one trap that everyone falls into with it is feeling that they *need* to be stationary behind the barrier for it to work. Sure CRL lets you spawn lances without needing the aspect on, but I've found that it's better to have Diamond Lance on, because then stationary play goes from a requirement into an option. You can run around the battlefield like a true titan, picking up lances and constantly spawning crystals, then if things require you to play on the defensive or stay in one spot you can pop a barricade and still use your kit. That said, I've been using Precious Scars for the survivability and eagerly awaiting TFS so I can hopefully switch back to CRL. (hoping that CRL works on prismatic too)

Imo shard generation should be tied to fragments and given a more generalized method of aquisition instead of each class having to do something different to get them, not only that but harvest aspects kind of force you to use them or you cant use half the fragments to begin with. As for the subclasses itself and this includes strand too its lacking in the option department compared to light sunclasses. Ex: stasis/strand hunter has 1 melee, 1 super and 3 grenades at its disposal, while a solar hunter has 3 super variants, a 3rd dodge, 4 melee options and 9 grenades to choose before aspect or fragments are brought into the table

I see what you're saying and agree with it to an extent. But that is kinda the trade off your should expect from using a Darkness subclass. That isn't to say that the limited options should remain as weak as they are. I'm of the opinion that it's very good in the hands of an intelligent player. My rework to the Harvest aspects I believe changes this, so long as the Frost armor can stack its DR as you get more shards. So the initial rework starts with the fact that we all want shards baked into the subclass/made easier via fragments. So using that as our foundation I would like to also add that TDT made a short highlighting that shards should provide all energy instead of just melee. With that out of the way here’s my reworked aspects. Grim harvest; collecting shards builds a Kama to be thrown that instantly freezes targets, precision hits make the Kama cause Shatter shortly after impact. (Gunpowder gambit but to the melee) Tectonic Harvest; collecting shards allows your stasis weapons to cause Shatter to crystals and targets affected by Stasis effects. This Shatter causes a small stack of Slow. >Glacial Harvest; collecting shards, offers some Health when using a healing rift, and increases Stasis weapon damage when using Empowering Rift.

If we compare stasis’ 100 stack slow and freeze mechanic to solar’s 100 stack scorch and ignite mechanic you can see that slow really does nothing. At the very least scorch deals a good amount of damage overtime to enemies. This is something that can be built into through certain builds that empower that scorch damage even if you arent going for an ignition heavy build. Slow does not have any tangible benefit in the pve sandbox. Half the time I slow an enemy they still run away just as fast. Slows only purpose is to get to 100 stacks and get the freeze. I think one thing they could change to improve slow is to give it some sort of effect on pve combatants. My suggestion would be to make slowing a target reduce their rate of fire in pve. This would allow high slow uptime builds actually have a purpose beyond getting to that 100 stack freeze. This could also help with the survivability aspect of stasis, as well as adding another keyword because let’s be honest slow was barely a keyword to begin with.

Stasis Warlock is my most used subclass by a significant margin. I really love having several turrets set up with osmiomancy but I wish there was better variety. The best I've been able to come up with is Wrathweavers with Wicked Implement. Consistently killing slowed enemies allows for high Class ability uptime so there's always a damage boost. Problem is that 1. it's bugged so healing rift doesn't work and 2. the overshield isn't significant enough in most circumstances. It sucks that it's gone so long without getting fixed but replacing the overshield with frost armor would be a great way to boost it if the effect is strong enough. Imagine giving something like Woven Mail and refreshing it for your entire team for the thirty seconds the super lasts. That'd be awesome.

With bolstering detonation, stasis warlock can have very high rift uptime with stasis turrets, since they last so much longer than all other grenades. This gives warlock a much more reasonable healing tool, making them pretty strong when played well.

I have fixed this with the new exotic side arm buried bloodline devor feels great on the stasis hunter and i highly recommend this exotic with a headstone weapon like the hand canon from Grasp or the smg from strikes, there are pluse rifles that can get it to i just dont like pulses to much

I feel the one thing keeping them from taking risks with buffing stasis is the paywall that is Beyond Light. Freeze is so potent as is and any poorly planned buff to the stasis kit would make it downright oppressive. I truly don't believe we'll get much beyond minor reworks and tuning to push stasis closer to par unless for some reason Beyond Light or the subclass as a whole is made free to all players.

I'm a Titan main who also LOVES stasis, so here's my ideas to make the subclass great: 1. New verbs; -Chilled: Enemy debuff that increases PRECISION damage to Slowed and frozen enemies. -Frost armor (already being made): Stasis shards Gives stacking buff, up to ×5, that decrease enemy damage by 10% per stack. Lasts 10 seconds per stack. -Thaw: collecting stasis shards Gives an immediate bump to health (40 health per shard) Reworking how stasis crystals and frozen enemies work...simply, after 5 seconds (I think their regular timer if I'm not wrong), noth crystals and frozen enemies immediately shatter, as opposed to thawing. (This can be a fragment, but I prefer it being status quo). Now let's talk Titan aspects: -Tectonic harvest: This should NOT be an aspect. Stasis shards spawning should simply be a default benefit of the subclass. -Cryoclasm: this aspect should obtain tectonic harvests melee generation on shard pick up, aswell as the benefit of producing frost armor on shard pick up (frost armor can also be a fragment for other classes obviously). -Howl of the storm: while remaining relatively the same, this slide melee should produce far more powerful stasis crystals than the average, with the added benefit of the shards automatically shattering after 2 seconds, aswell as inflicting CHILLED on any enemies effected by the melee for roughly 5-10 seconds. -Diamond lance: this aspect is pretty solid in its own right, and needs little changes, but with the added benefit of frozen enemies shattering after 3 seconds instead of thawing, it would increase it's deadly nature quite a bit. As for fragments, there can be fragments added for; - Frost armor generation -Chill enemies on melee hits -acquiring Thaw from crystals There's more, but I believe these changes would do wonders in boosting the class to upper ranks! Thanks

Change Tectonic harvest on all classes to grant a second melee charge and enhance their melees, in a way that’s similar to hunter grim harvest. Warlocks melee can have a delayed shatter explosion after a hit, or titans grant a slowing aura after hitting a crystal or enemy, and hunters bounce twice as much. A Huge Quality of life would be to make shatter do Yellow numbers. Shatter can feel good but I can’t tell how much I did cause the white number mesh with the white/blue explosion. Also depending on what frost armor does exactly, they could use it to buff the lesser used aspects on each class. Warlocks freeze, titans shatter, hunters slow, so reward them for their playstyle. Frost pulse makes it so freezing an enemy in any way grants forst armor, Cryoclasm grants it from any shatter, and winter shroud from any slow(or multiple slows).
@lordpharquaad
@lordpharquaad 4 месяца назад
I think a second melee charge is a great idea, it would help out titan a lot specifically. On the enhanced titan melee I think it would be better if a burst of 2-3 stasis crystals dropped after getting a kill with the melee or maybe a damaging burst for possible multi kills. I say this because it can be hard for titan to produce crystals without the chest exotic or the aspect melee and this change would ensure each build would have some way along with the grenade to produce crystals.

Just one thing i wanted to add, that stasis no longer deals with all three champions, this season they built it in that you cant just freeze barriers to stop their shield, they instantly break out and barrier up. I believe there are ways to do it still if your precise but no longer works like previous seasons.

I think there should be a keyword called brittle. It would state that the more damage a frozen target takes, the more damage it takes when it shatters. Up to 20% more at max. I also think the titan stasis melee should deal bonus damage to frozen targets. Up to 100% more. Lastly, I think it should have an instant super that uses the diamond lance. It would be able to crit and it would freeze the target. Then when it shatters, piercing icicles would fly out and create stasis crystals where they land, which would then shatter as well. Just my idea.

I'm a Hunter main and I like Stasis more than Strand. It's mainly because of the synergy between weapon and subclass. The only thing strand has going for it on Hunters is the grapple. Other than that it all feels very subpar. Then there's the fact that a good strand weapon for PvE has Hatchling which is on one singular handcannon I believe (a 120 at that.) They then tried to remedy it by allowing hatchling to proc with multikills instead of only precision kills. Which helped very minimally for Hunters. And sure you could use an auto rifle but that'll make it slightly more bearable (besides a titan will end up doing it way better anyway). Another gripe I have is the exotic for strand hunter gives woven mail during grapple (which feels more like a fragment thing than an exotic thing)

Rime does not require killing enemies on any of the 3 classes. You need the tectonic harvest equivalent on each class, hunter: slow targets to make shards, warlock: freeze targets to make shards, Titan: shatter crystals to make shards. No subclass requires kills

I think the biggest thing that holds stasis back is it's lack of damage/DPS as an overall subclass. The crystals don't do anything unless you shatter them yourself. They just gradually disappear. Same goes for frozen targets, they just unfreeze overtime. Plus there's no incentive to really use it as a damage type. Look at incandescent, voltshot, volatile rounds, and unraveling rounds(Even Kinetic Tremors). Stasis doesn't really have anything like that except for Ager's Scepter, and Wicked Implement. Stasis only holds is weight as a utility subclass, imo. Whereas, the other classes can be used for both play styles. And even then, the buffs/debuffs of the other classes greatly outweigh anything stasis currently offers. They all just do was stasis can do, but better.

I use Lancecap for my Titan, and I lean into that with the fragment. I find a good SMG pairs better than say Scouts or other long options. Simply as you can get pretty close and proc Lances rapidly. That said there really should be better ways to use Stasis. It's lack of Survivability and Lethality are present in many end game content. Some of that can be solved with new aspects and fragments. But I'd also like to see a new melee option for all classes. Lances for Titans seems pretty obvious much of everything you'd need is in game, melee to spawn one in hand. Then you have options for either range or CC. Warlock needs a good sweeping melee. Wave frame Melee burst option? Cone of damage you'd use to shatter anything and anyone in front of you. Hunters, I dunno. Make smoke bomb but for freezing? Supers need two One and Done options for Warlock and Titan. And Hunter could get a good roaming option/High burst Damage?

It could afford to have the same amount of options as the other classes. So things like a additional grenades, melees, supers and keywords would be nice. I mostly agree. As a Warlock main, I would say my biggest issue is with the Stasis grenade in PvP. Most other grenades can kill a guardian and I am ok with the fact that Stasis grenades cannot kill but the freeze window is just too short. I have frozen Guardians and seen them come out of the freeze and run away or resume the gun fight. This is bad and forces me to use Duskfields or Turrets which I don't really like for PvP. I'm excited to see what FrostArmor can offer because I really do like the Stasis kit.

The main problem with Stasis is that -like with Arc- it's just way to reliant on a handful of highly specialized exotics to perform well. Both elements are anemic across the board, until you put on some of the most powerful but niche exotics in the game that give you very tiny gameplay loop to play around. Both elements need greater survivability at base, their exotics and outlier abilities nerfed, and their gameplay loops expanded to offer more diverse approaches to gameplay, instead of just tossing grenades, or just spamming melee.
@NEWGHOST9
@NEWGHOST9 4 месяца назад
6:24 that is my major issue with arc in general, there is no survivability, it def could use some, and the main survivability it had they nerfed, which was the fragment that gave DR for being surrounded by enemies, maybe they could add something like running for a certain period of time starts health regen, cuz of how mobile the made arc it’d make sense Stasis could use similiar tweaks, im curious what the frost armor thing they mentioned was, wonder if it’ll replace stasis shard overshield Stasis melee could use some new melees, like the melees dont feel too special, i would love shards to get more than just melee energy, it’s that and the one that heals you a bit and gives the shard overshield which they nerfed annoyingly. I miss when you could use em to heal on warlock mid super. I would so like that back if it’s too strong for pvp maybe they could put w flag that prevents it during crucibke n gambit The warlock super used to be so good, it used to get energy back on kills, you used to be able heal with shards during it, and if you pair it with the ice flare bolts (which rlly should be bakes into the super) it was rlly fun n strong but alas If stasis warlock gets a new single use stasis super those new stasis gloves will do rlly well buffing you and your teammates stasis weapons Stasis titan is one of my favorite things, i dint play titans much but being aggressive with lances is a lot of fun, trying to play passive while rocking lances doesnt seem to work well

The easiest way i can think to buff stasis is to remove the shard generation from being tied to an entire aspect and move it into fragments. Make it like a firesprite. As a stasis warlock main, I have to say, Ballidorse Wrathweavers are incredible fun and has a lot of potential. It has so much going on: - Frostpulse synergy - Frostpulse blast gives overshield and a x2 stasis weapon surge - Winter's Wrath shockwave gives overshield and a x4 stasis weapon surge - Super also grants the x4 weapon surge after it ends - Winter's Wrath shockwave also deals 100% more shatter damage A very solid foundation. And later down the timeline, what ever frost armor is will likely replace overshields in the subclass. Which means it will be a direct buff to ballidorse.

I think darkness subclasses elemental pickups should be physical objects, like the strand tangle. I would like to see diamond lance become intrinsic to all stasis subclasses as the new elemental pickup, then replace the diamond lance aspect on behemoth titans with something that better fits the class fantasy. Next i would replace all of the stasis shards aspect with new aspects, such as a shatter ability for warlocks. lastly rework current stasis fragments to work with the new diamond lance elemental pickup and introduce new ones that interact with the lance.

For Stasis Titan, my friend has actually found an incredibly effective build. He runs with Strongholds and a sword with stasis. Is it the most flashy, no. He spends a lot of time holding that sword guard. However the stasis super as well as being able to lock down areas with his grenades and slide melees make it a rather effective build. He ended up using it in several of the GM’s we’ve done this season. It isn’t flashy, but it works incredibly well. Its difficult to say how Bungie could buff the classes in a meaningful way that makes the classes more interesting to play as well as to not overstep territory of other classes. I do agree with the general popular idea that shards need to come via fragments and that the aspect for shard generation needs to be reworked. Either grant completly new things to them or change them so they do some huge enhanced thing with those shards. 1 thing I'm surprised the class doesn't have is a " Rounds" keyword. I mean it is a crownd control class, right? It would make sense to me if you could make your stasis weapons slow and freeze targets so you could further play into the C.C aspect of Stasis and build control over what goes on, especially in harder content where you don't always have amazing add clear DPS for various reasons.

I want to like osmiomancy, but I just can't justify not using MOBH+Verglas if I'm using stasis. By and large I agree with you, but I'm a warlock main so I can't put much in on Hunter and Titan life. I think slow needs to be differentiated from Freeze by having a synergistic de-buff. New Keyword: Brittle. Targets slowed, at any level gain brittle each 25 slow. Each stack of brittle increases incoming damage by 7%, but 4x stacks (Frozen) only increases incoming damage by a flat 25%. Each stack of slow shifts base target accuracy from standard to airborne. (Aka the more frosty you are, the less accurate you get.) Even in PVE, enemies have terrible airborne accuracy usually. New keyword (All Classes): Diffusion. Melee kills absorb Brittle stacks from target at 100% efficiency and release a duskfield grenade from the user for 4 seconds. Each stack of brittle consumed restores 20% health. Precision hits, or shatter kills absorb Brittle stacks from target at 75% efficiency. New Keyword (all Classes): Brittle rounds: Applies Slow to targets. Applying 130 stacks of slow to the target causes them to automatically shatter. Does not apply to Solar weapons. Warlocks need an excuse to use something other than well of radiance, and I think Stasis gives them a good opportunity to do it. New Warlock Super: Praxic Blizzard. The warlock summons the staff of winter and anchors it in the ground. All Allies within the area are granted: Frost Armor, Restoration x1, Diffusion 2x, and Brittle Rounds 2x. The warlock is frozen in place, and immune to damage for the duration of the super; lasts for 35 seconds with 45% damage reduction. Sure, you'd lose out on your warlock helping with DPS, but your team is getting effectively a 30% damage boost per player, and letting all your I always thought allowing Hunters and Titans to teleport/blink to friendly stasis crystals and heal would be an interesting idea; and a good basis for an Aspect/fragment, call it Entropy's Reflection or something. I think if Brittle, and Diffusion got added to the game, you'd help Behemoths get up close and personal, and give other players a reason to leave stasis Crystals around to "Brittleify" enemies. (Note, this is all back of the napkin math)

Right now, strand suspend does more better than any stasis freeze, the abilities are underwhelming (need to adjust potency and/or cooldown time), and aside from creating terrain doesn't really have much identity. Could use a stasis 2.0 right now; light classes create elemental wells with fragments, stasis does it with aspects. Stasis was OP when it was released, partially for marketing, and partially because it was new and using an untested format; but after MANY debuffs and not receiving any real build options over the past few years, the underwhelming element has been on ice long enough and is ready to be reassessed with the other subclasses.
