Does Storm Need Physical Strength to be Strong?

When it comes to statements like "She lacks physical strength" or "This guy is bullet level", people don't try to understand how this character fights or what they can achieve.

Storm has stopped planetary level attacks.. she blocked a direct attack from an Accusers hammer.. she has blocked bullets.. also she can use your ability to control bioelectricity and wind to augment her own physical abilities.. her punches are able to hurt people like rogue.. she also once knocked a hole through a mountain

If only they understand how powerful she is.. and her power level. Qeen of the elements 🌪️⛈️🌪️🌊🔥❄️

I think her record of kicking ass proves that no, she doesn't need to throw hands to be strong.

They should Change Storm's durability to a 4 because of the things she survived and literally fought through. What regular person can take a smack by the Hulk, or gets her guts ripped open by BP and get back up to keep fighting? Thats beyond normal or even average person durabilty. Who would try to shoot someone who controls WIND? She dodged Cyclops optic blast and took them with ZERO POWERS. Storm was literally whooped a bunch of Vampires ass with just hand to hand combat. Literally physically overpowering them. Id put Storm strength at 3, she literally caught War Machine when he was falling from the sky. War Machine weighs 470lbs. SO STOP CALLING HER GLASS CANON, BECAUSE ITS A LIE. A glass canon would shatter as soon as it uses its power. You could dead that dumbass analogy.

Storm IS powerful she is an Omega lvl and A Goddess for a Reason. People are Dumb.

She’s not as powerful as the white ones is what they meant but truth is when Storm stepped on scene…Jean couldn’t lift a needle without getting a nosebleed, Wanda didn’t even have control over choice when using her powers ie probability. When the Black Goddess appeared haters started hating and so Wanda went through all kinds of power changes from probability to hex bolts to telekinesis to magic to darkhold to chaos magic to merging with Chton just to keep up with Storm and of course Jean. Jean was just replaced by a Force that mimicked her until haters complained and so they rewrote Jean from being replaced to being possessed but of course it wasn’t not her power but that of the Phoenix and so they rewrote her as being the avatar of the Phoenix and even then Storm was still stronger and powerful because when she tapped into her dark force equal to that of dark Phoenix entity (not Jean) she was able to fight it with sheer will. Then cry baby haters cried about that saying Stron is still stronger so Marvel then took the Phoenix (that made Jean an Omega Level Mutant) and killed Jean over and over til they finally got it right cause I mean how can you make someone more powerful than someone who can psionically move 1.1billions lbs. with her mind and that’s just one square inch cumulus cloud. Let’s do what we hate to do but it’s our only choice…let’s make Jean an Omega Level Mutant of her own power thus we’ll have to do the same for Storm til someone (a hater) said a potential one instead and let’s make Iceman and Rachel and to show that we’re not racist and not anti-Storm because of it..let’s make Psylocke an Omega too even tho she appears as an Asian because we don’t won’t that either in truth she’s white British so we still win😂! She can be invincible by altering her physical form to the embodiment of any element or the weather period. She just gained super speed but it’s only sound breaking and not lightning speed. Far recently she blocked a powerful hammer with her hand (watch the response on this particular comment), she physically manhandled Vulcan who has super strength and she displayed some other type of physical strength most recently and some physical durability. Let them keep crying and denying Storm’s strength and power because one thing we all know is that everything she has become is of her own power…no upgrades and no possessions..although Jean (non Phoenix) is one of my top five..hell she’s my second favorite after Storm.

I think Storm should be the 2nd fastest flier in Marvel History. Simply because of her powers. "How fast are cosmic winds? The winds, clocked by astronomers using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, are racing through space at 20 million mph (32 million kph), or about 3 percent the speed of light." It says Mjolnir in space can fly 30,000,000mph. Its only fair to make her the 2nd fastest. Thor's top speed without using Mjolnir is 270,000mph. Thats nowhere near a fraction of Silver Surfer's top speed of 500,000 light years per second. Thats like One Septillion. It has 24 zeroes.

Yo...Storm is Strong ASF !!!

Physically, Storm is not that much different from any other person. However, with her omega level elemental powers, she doesn't need super strength, invulnerability, or any of those other abilities. It's more interesting for long distance powerhouses like Storm, Jean, and Magneto to have physical limitations. Otherwise, they have no believable stakes. I prefer to see them use their powers in creative ways to counter their physical limits, and overwhelm their opponents.

A tangent: the speed thing is interesting because a lot of characters can dodge lightspeed attacks but don't actually have super speed, not just Ororo but even characters like Kate casually dodge things like Scott's blasts regularly.

Storm also has voodoo descendant power but they dont speak on that

If she can take a hit from a bolt of lightning which travels at the speed of light she can definitely take a building thrown at her like it was nothing In the sheer fact that the sonic boom after a bolt of lightning is enough to liquefy the insides of ANYONE😅👀 HAS NO EFFECT ON HER

A big concern I have is that they'll eventually write Storm into a corner where she's too OP to need a team, where it's too easy for her to win battles (but the narrative may still make her lose anyway).

These guys think theyre so slick in trying to degrade her in any possible way. No shit she can’t survive a bullet to the head like 90% of characters, but there's a reason she has prevented that happneing for 50 years lmao. Like no she can’t take a hit from Hulk but that's kinda why she uses her powers to shove him around and keep him away. I've even seen people think the Human Torch can stomp her Despite...cntrolling oxygen and literally turning his power off before. They just have to twist some narrative that shes completely incompetent because a black woman doing a damn thing impressive threatens them.

I feel like if you have powers that give you a boost in combat, then you don't need physical strength. If you're like Quicksilver, Nightcrawler, or Shadowcat, however, it doesn't hurt to be atheltic.

Storm is strong physically too 😂 like she doesn’t have to be the hulk level strength to be strong. If you said “Batman is strong and powerful” they would never of doubted it.

WoW!!! It shows how they don’t know nothing outside of the X-Movies🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ I love how they love throwing Marvel Girl and Scarlet Witch at Storm when both of those two was the weakest of all female characters and power wise Storm and Polaris were the most powerful of every female and male energy wise. Marvel refused to have the most powerful mutant to be a Black woman and so they enhanced both Marvel Girl, Scarlet Witch and to add one more Captain Marvel by giving them a power outside of their original power set. While Marvel Girl had potential but, because they know she was weak against Storm’s winds and most definitely lightning, they held Storm back off the space ship so that Jean could receive the Phoenix upgrade. Scarlet Witch had her power altered, enhanced and completely revised because them lil hex bolts and then probability powers wasn’t even formidable against Toad. Then they gave her powers of Marvel Girl, since Jean didn’t need them because she was possessed by the great Phoenix, and yet Scarlet would still be just as susceptible to a Storm beat down as Jean was before the very much needed Phoenix entity upgrade. Scarlet was still weak against females like Susan Storm and She-Hulk and Captain Marvel especially when CM received her upgrade to Binary which is more of an evolved power than a possession or complete new power change. Storm and Invisible Woman as well as Spectrum are the only female characters whom comics I would purchase because their powers are their powers and is backed by their own capability. Marvel Girl (non Phoenix) is one of my favorites and so was Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel before the OP nonsense…I mean Storm has the power within her to Transcend and attain new levels of power as well as Invisible Woman and Spectrum. But many don’t know that because all most of them know is the movie versions and most likely was never a fan before then so they are hella lacking in the truth. A few things about Storm only a real fan would know..not to throw shade but to enlighten many that Storm, much like DC’s Superman, wears a skin layered atmosphere over her body that protects her from the brunt force of any physical attack no matter how strong. This is why she can take hits from physically strong opponents that would kill any regular human with an average to athletic durability. Storm’s body has the ability to compensate for the energy output and the conditions of the atmosphere she becomes one with such if she was on Jupiter and wielding the weather phenomenon there then her durability would increase so that she could channel those energies without killing herself much like how it protects her from radiation. Storm’s body also compensates for extreme temperatures and not because she chooses to but because it’s the nature of her powers and how it works as she has survived deep space so it’s unknown at what degree she could freeze or burn because even space is an atmosphere and even the sun has weather. Storm has absorb raw magical energies that overwhelmed and nearly killed Magik while at her peak and within a realm of chaotic magic..resulting in Storm having to save the day. Another thing they don’t mention about Astor’s is that she does completely heal not in the sense that Wolverine or even Sabertooth heals but just a bit faster than the average human and in one case, as strong as her will is, she healed her damaged spine instantly that had her completely paralyzed and confined to a chair similar to Xavier’s and had to be cared for by Wolverine. Her injuries, no matter how long I takes or how critical, as long as she’s capable of living it will completely heal. Storm, and they prefer to hide it, can suppress and even shutoff the powers of others as just as Vulcan can and it causes a psychic/telepath immense pain. Storm controls the electrical signals and electricity within the body, brain and of frontal cortex that allows many especially other psionics to use their powers. She can see and manipulate multiple forms of energies with kinetic energy being one of many, iykyk, no she can harness it like Gambit but she can manipulate it. Not only is Storm an electrokinetic but she has electrogenesis as one of her abilities…she is known to have a plethora of abilities…more than any other superhuman. She can affect the elements she controls at an atomic level so she can modify and enhance her strength, speed, stamina, agility, reaction, healing and durability to superhuman levels. But if they wrote her in a factual sense then she would be absolutely invincible. Cryogenesis is another which is why Iceman knows he can’t beat her but it is fun and fundamental to him to constantly challenge her…in fact, while Emma was the one to learn and explore his potential when she mind swapped with him, it was Storm who knew it all along and actually thought him how to use his powers beyond his Alpha Level capabilities. Storm is powerful and strong and would be more if she wasn’t always held back because she would put too many and their puny powers to shame but I prefer a growing powerful Storm vs an instant one. Len Wein created and Dave Cockrum created Storm but Chris Claremont played a big role in her development and also it was Cockrum and Claremont who created the Phoenix Force solely for Storm originally to have it fit into her lineage but others had other plans once they realized what the Phoenix Force was and it became an opportunity for Jean instead…not like Storm needed it anyway. As for Legion…no mutant was capable of coming close to even wanting to even touching Legion and the only one who was powerful and unafraid to was Storm and the other being Magneto but many wouldn’t know that and this was at a time when he hated his father and the x-men. Even recently it was Storm who struck him and gave the only opportunity, all those powerful telepath didn’t have including Marvel Girl/Phoenix, to take him down.
