At least she responded to the Genosho Massacre in general. I just don't see where she would've had time to mourn Gambit specifically, based on how the show was structured. But there's always season 2.

Personally I think a Krakoa Era show could really work, because they could even include the X-Men 97 and Evolution "verses" as different timelines prior to the one we'll be following for the main plot. I think if we're having this throwback to the classic era, having something more current is also a good idea next. Orher than that, I echo your sentiments about adapting some newer plotlines & characters within the TAS verse. Honestly we can skip some of this late 90s-Early 00s stuff lol. Don't need to adapt EVERYTHING from the past. Much appreciation for your caring words

@@StormKoriHQ As someone who got into comics around the 2010s, the Krakoan era was the first full era I got to be part of (reading). My only issue is that starting off with it could feel unearned, even if we did flashbacks (which kinda feels like how XMTAS did, working backwards). And a part of me always wanted them to adapt the cringey "O5 come to the present" arc just so we could get XME references--even though the era and would've worked better as an AU than a time travel story, imo. Someone once told me the 2000s decade was the best time for X-Men, largely because so many new and younger characters got to appear. It'd be nice to have an X-Men universe that included X-Factor, New Mutants, and other teams with their own shows. I just hope the next X-Men show has Storm, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Iceman on the roster, as well as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having prominent roles along with being Magneto's kids. Hope making these videos has kept you busy!

With only ten episodes there is so much they can do with limited time. Hopefully in season 2 there will be more episodes now I'm not expecting to have 20 plus episodes like the 90's animated series. It can be 13, 14, or 15 episodes so that way they don't have to worry about rushing the plot.

@@valentecarrillo4259 that's what I'm saying, cause when I looked at the episode listings for TAS I was blown to see how many episodes those seasons got lol. I think the shortest was the last one at (or around) 10 episodes

A bigg issue I had was how inaccessible it was. It was a revival, but it was also something toted like new fans could come in and ubderstand what was going on, but given the rushed pacing and uneven character spotlight, it was very hard to get into.

@@OpticalSorcerer exactly! Bc they crammed so much in & didn't give you a chance to process or care about the characters. You don't care about anything that happens bc there's no effort made to get reacquainted with the characters.

@@1sunshineboi1 The roster is way too big; I would've been fine if the Madelynne sitation lasted a bit longer (the first 3 episodes had a lot going on), and then have Jean and Scott sit one out for a while, with a similar thing for depowered Storm LATER ON. Introduce Sunspot at a later date as well, and include Gambit more so that his death doesn't come off as bad taste due to the love triangle. And an argument someone gave me when I criticized the show was "they're already developed characters since this picks up from the 90s show," but the 90s show didn't do this exactly; because of recording wasn't invented, a lot of the arcs were self-contained, so that even when the show began most characters already felt characterized.

@@brianpbillingsley3687 you can't polish a turd & call it a diamond. The writing wasn't good. It got attention, but it waned as time went on & the criticisms all came down to writing, pacing, & character motivations. Things just didn't make sense. We were just meant to completely suspend logic bc of beau's inability to write. Big moments only work when smaller moments are allowed to breathe. It was just non-stop action in hopes you wouldn't look too closely. Yet another case of "hey! Look over there!"
