Does the $75 junk yard PRIUS power steering work good OFFROAD? This is a 3 month awaited video of the test run of the Prius power steering on my dune buggy. In this video I'm going to be driving my dune buggy at Little Sahara Sand Dunes. I will explain how the dune buggy handled and performed with the electric power steering. So give it a watch and find out how it does!

Good review, looks like this is something all buggy owners need to fit. Super jealous of the dunes, nothing like that near me, and even where there is an off road place its private owned so you can go there unless you are a member of the expensive club.

Loved the vid, Will be checking out that power steering for my buggy. Bummer on losing your engine but those LS motor's are tuff. I haven't been to Little Sahara in 10 years. I used love running the bowls on top. I lost a pinto engine going up sand mountain. A dry sump oil system would be nice or at least better baffles in the oil pan.

Ha ha. Ya the dunes are kind of hard on machinery. But its worth it. Thanks for watching! Little Sahara is our stomping ground! Were lucky to be so close .

Hi Great vids. I am looking at putting this kind of steering in a hot rod pickup. You answered many questions. Why did you choose the Prius steering unit? There are many others out there. Was there a specific reason for this one? Thank You!

Thank you and Thanks for watching! Sounds like you have a fun project going! To answer your question…. One of my friends had put one on his buggy and it worked really well! Another reason was the Prius are readily available in the salvage yards around us here in Utah.
