Does the winter season cause truck breakdown? 

Winter breaks everything...from houses... to cars... to people. Winter is a rough season

Naw fam you ain't trippin..... I picked up in Louisville going to Winona Minnesota -13 outside........ I must have seen at least 40 Easy semis broke down on the side of the road...... I stopped counting when I hit Chicago.... it's cold outside fellows keep this in mind..... take care of your truck and it will take care of you

The battery and electrical terminal ends are two major stress components. Colder climates will effect battery current draw for any engine during start up, especially diesels. Assuring that the alternator is doing it's part, reduces unnecessary battery replacements. With many states using different road treatments such as calcium chloride and sodium chloride (salt) to combat deicing on the road surfaces, the mixture of the 2 will cause all kinds of corrosion problems on steel parts and electrical components. Power washing helps but use a corrosion inhibitor on the electrical terminal ends soon after.

That's so true ....when I lived in Massachusetts they put Salt and other Chemicals on the Icey/Snow Roads. It will eat the Metal and other parts on your Vehicles. On my Car it ate through 2 my Mufflers in the 5 years I lived up there, I had a under coating Sprayed under my Car. ITS REAL!

I honestly do believe that the winter causes more damage than the summer ever would due to the fact that diesels have harder times working in the cold I mean I bought a new car that was a diesel drove it back home next morning couldn't even start it after I fixed all the necessary parts are supposed to fix before winter then the car started right up so yeah I definitely agree with you men

It’s the deicer chemical and salt will Rick havoc on your components bad.an washing your truck often will help definitely. I live in the midwest.
