What is Turkesterone? Are ecdysterone and turkesterone the same.
Turkesterone is a concentrated type of ecdysteroid or whats called a phytoecdysteroid, which is a compound that is naturally found in some insects and plants, specifically the Ajuga turkestanica. You find it talked about a lot in the bodybuilding community, as some claim it has accelerated muscle growth and increased testosterone without any of the same issues.

Now ecdysteroids naturally occur in thistle-like plants, most of which grow in places like Siberia, Asia, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. And while you can find ecdysteroids in common foods like yams and spinach, you wont find turkesterone abundant in any particular food.

Now I know this is a case for a lot of supplements, but for something that already has few human studies, it is very important to understand upper limits to avoid toxicity or adverse effects. The right dose for you will technically come down to factors such as age, weight, and individual tolerance. So what works on someone else, may not necessarily work on you. But anecdotally, the most common dose you find is 500 mg at 95% turkesterone to be taken with a meal.
What is the Best Turkesterone?
Some other factors to consider when choosing the right supplement is, are all of the individual ingredients on the supplement label listed? Are ingredients made of raw material? Are dosages based on scientific research? Is the supplement manufactured in an NSF facility or third party tested, and have cGMP certification?
