Awww that's too bad those "dangerous dogs" laws made people wary of dogs in general, plus some people have actually never lived with a dog too. Yes. Sad. I had Huskies & my ypung male was unusually big. He talked a lot & would greet people who came to our house. But they were afraid to get out of their cars because this huge Husky face was at the car window howling at them. Took several times for the UPS man to know he could get out of his truck!

Same with my dog, only he’s a Dogo Argentino. When I walk him, people go to the other side of the street when they see us. I think it hurts his feelings - the worst thing would be he knocks you down licking you. I’ve trained him to not jump up on people.

Same I've been diagnosed with severe depression recently, you're not alone my friend, we'll get through it and figure life out eventually. Apparently after a while you just kind of change and it settles down. We've got dogs and stuff on RU-vid to get us through the worst bits lol.

Hearing you. I live a very chaotic and stressful life. I have acute anxiety. Little did I know that one day I would find so much help from these videos. Thank God for them. I just read about Nook too so will go and see. I also watch Key and Millie, Rupert and Lola. (Three huskies that live in one family.) Their channel is Milperthusky. I watch every night before I sleep in my bed. They comfort me so much, especially Millie and now there's something about Sherpa too. What a sweetheart. Sending love and light.

@@ShinyShinyIsAlwaysBeingSerious Try to get 10 hours of sleep in a night. Sometimes doing that clears my mind. Also, get all your short term deadlines out of the way and don't procrastinate on them. That seemed to get rid of a big part of it for me.

I had a Husky named Snoopy. He and I were taking a walk 1 day and he got on the wrong end of a skunk. This happened several times. He just thought they were funny looking little cats that needed love.

I'm very scared of dogs. Tye only times I can be fine with them is when they are quiet and don't try to touch me. Ofcourse I like to give them a good scratch, but usually that's kinda rare and only with certain dogs. I hate that we may have to try get a service dog. I would possibly need to move out.

@@marialindell9874 People who have an innate fear of dogs (or any animal for that matter) have nearly always had one of two things happen in their childhood.. been bitten by a dog (insufficient supervision by parents.. maybe the toddler or child tries to take the animals toy or food away from it)..or have grown up in a home where the parents are themselves afraid of dogs, or don't like dogs.. this fear or hatred easily being picked up on by the small child..or finally, in a culture where growing up with animals of all kinds in the house, isn't the norn...in London I very often see a small child who clearly wants to stroke and pet a dog, no fear in THEM at all, being yanked away by a mother, almost like the child was about to put it's hand into the mouth of a tiger!...it makes me feel very sad that parents, even unintentionally, pass on THEIR fears or prejudices to their children.. hope you can get the dog you'd love to have one day.. kind wishes from London 🐕❤️🇬🇧

Doomersch i’ve yet to meet a pit owner that “wasn’t so bright.” each one i’ve known are intelligent and are doing well in career and life and have some of the sweetest dogs if not the sweetest. but i know there are plenty of bad pet owners though.

I understand if they're scared of big dogs, I mean my brother would be scared of Sherpa (sadly) as he was attacked by a big dog when he was a child and he only feels comfortable with small dogs now in his mid 40s, so while it's sad for us to see people pass him by, there are legitimate reasons other than allergies people don't want to go near some dogs. I love Sherpa tho and would cuddle him for as long as John let me.

I don't think they're ignoring him. They probably think they're being polite by not intruding and maybe they're just smiling when he walks by. But I know what you mean since you or I would go nuts when we see him, which is what I expect others to do too. 😊

There are folks who are really not comfortable with dogs for many reasons. When I was a young woman, the Shepard/Collie mix my family had one day grabbed and bit clear through my hand when I reached out to pet him. He wouldn't release me and my yelling brought my nephew to the rescue and he got him off me. There was no reason for him to bite me, but I had a very bad and painful injury that took some time to heal. I was also terrified of this particular dog for the remainder of his life with us. I worked until after dark and was the last one to come home. As soon as I parked the dog would appear out of nowhere and position himself between the car and the door to the house. This created a sort of PTSD in me that took years to get over. I still won't get near an unfamiliar dog without asking permission. I have grown up with dogs since my birth, but it only takes one bad experience to create what could be a life long phobia. Thank God I no longer have the instant fear response, but I remain cautious.
