My husband played with many country and rock stars before his death in 2019. He would have loved this channel. So thanks for being here. He played with Deana, Heatherly, and rock and roll bands as well. It was an up and down life. Rags and riches. Your channel kept and keeps me in the here and now. Thanks for that. You’re a treasure.
My mom always said that if you can’t buy for all then you’re to just buy a family gift. Not sure if anyone has ever heard that before but her other saying was. If you feed one then you have to feed the whole family.
Very clever ideas from a very clever lady. Who knew you could have so many things up there in that head of yours. And you've been keeping all your time in the kitchen. Take some of that smartness girl and spread it around
Loved this video. I like to make gift baskets of practical and cute items for Christmas. And the better you know the person who you are making it to, the better present you can put together. My mum - she has a small pension and I know she appreciates all the things I put there - her favorite coffee, hair dye she is using - those can be expensive for her to buy, so I put 2-3 packs, something red for her kitchen - she likes red dishes, a crossword of sudoku etc. And I sneak in a roll on money somewhere, hidden inside, so that will be extra surprise for her to find. She is always so happy with her present. And this gift basket is much better than to gift some unpractical item that she will not use. Just need to put in some effort and think through what the person would need and appreciate.
Love this! Personal care items plus an assortment of treats like a favourite coffee are great gifts. Plus, hidden cash that can be used for whatever is a fabulous bonus! ❤
I already commented but I think a bow around the twist ties would super elevate the look. Plus, my momma was a super frugal gift wrapper and she would point cut the top portion of the bag to look less bulky and more delicate. It really changed the look. Great job!
These were great!! It has been a tough year so I had planned just to shop for the grandchildren but now think I’ll do this for my adult kids… at least I’ll have something under the tree for them too… also making them some of your Christmas candy too 😉🫶
Good ideas. I just made some gift baskets a few days ago. I used coffee lovers items. A mug, coffee, espresso beans, cocoa, truffles, a cold coffee drink, peppermint and chocolate spoons and some fuzzy sox. In the bag and tied with a ribbon they look great. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
That men’s basket is amazing. Great for late teens all the way up. All those suggestions would also be great for stocking stuffers. Good job Brooke! Way to help us out again!
I have made these gifts for people at the Senior Center! Thank you and May God Bless You this year!! xoxoxo I also added "bling" diamond sticky things on the top....luv u
I haven't made a basket in a while. When I did make them you could shrink the plastic with a blow dryer to make them look better. I used dollar tree basket bags. Like I said I havent made a basket in a while but you could try to shrink them to see how the plastic does.
These exact products aren’t necessarily available at our Dollar Tree in Canada, but we have our version of Dollar Tree and Dollarama. I tend to look also at the Thrift store. I like to buy and wash baskets for bigger gifts at the thrift store. I also like to buy and sanitize a big mug at the thrift store and put in some marshmallows or candy canes in the cup with a jar of homemade hot chocolate mix to accompany it. We are all doing gifts on a budget. Some people’s budgets are bigger than others but nobody should ever feel ashamed of a gift they give. A gift is that: a gift. It’s not a transaction.
Brooke,I love the fancy gift tags that are really ornaments. Every year the people you give them to will be able to hang them on their tree and think of you. It is like 2 gifts in one. I love the idea of taking less expensive items and making them look more exclusive, as if you really put time and thought in to the gifts, which of course you did. I have seen people on really tight budgets buy mugs, and put in hot drink packs, with maybe some cookies, or biscuits if you are, like me from the UK, and add a little tree ornament as a tag. I think people love getting little gifts like that, as they see that someone wants to give them a gift, even if money is tight, and I often think a small gift, given with love, means more than getting a gift from someone that does not worry about money and just buys the first thing they see for them. I hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to the holiday season. Much love and respect from the South East of England. xxxxx
Well done. Love DT items and thrifting plates for Christmas cookies and vintage decor for Christmas presents. Everyone knows that about me and more times than not you can find better quality items thrifting now a days.
Thanks Brooke ~ been stressing over how to give something nice and thoughtful looking ,but don't have much $$$ to work with .... so thank you again ~ you are appreciated more than you know 💞
These are awesome! I don’t care how much someone spend on me, I just care that they took the time and effort and thought to give me something for Christmas.
❤ your face and your videos 😊 this one was a gem thank you for sharing! My son just got out of the childrenw hospital (10 days) from seizures.....this will help us save a ton😊❤❤
Great ideas. DT sells bubble glue dots. You can use to keep things in place. A couple gift ideas at DT a small ice bucket add 2 fluents and 2 gordiva chocolate bars and in certain they have non acholie different flavors drinks in champagne shape bottles. I took one of there tool container than added all male like stuff plus bought my son a small screwdriver set . I mix it in too.😊 made a hot cocoa gift set. One small jar put hot chocolate in. Another jar marshmallows. A Santa mug on top. Stack it and add ribbon. Lots of great idea. If worry because they can see stuff. You can slide in gift bag or on items style a few sheets of tissue over. Merry Christmas 🎄
I LOVE these ideas… I got my family gift idea from you last year, I made movie night gifts with a popcorn bucket, popcorn, and candy from Dollar Tree and a DVD from Amazon…the kids loved it!
I just love you Brooke! You are so sweet, honest and down to Earth...you are very talented! I have 5 grands and my oldest 3 I have been giving them money for Christmas for the last several years but I am going to do these! Merry Christmas to you and your family❤
I have made many gift baskets and people love them. I do trim the excess plastic wrap and add a festive bow, it gives a more professional feel to the gift.
Hey there, bestie! Great ideas there and the ribbon was the missing, perfect touch.🎄⭐🎄 You are so thoughtful, loving and full of joy. Keep being you. 100% loved.❤ Be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
I just love your creative mind Brooke! All of your baskets are great gifts anyone would love to receive and they are so pretty. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas. Have a beautiful blessed day. From Melissa in the mountains of Virginia. 🙏 ❤
Great job! And you’re right, they do not look like dollar store items. I especially love the one with the three jars on the tray, so cute. I have a lot of jars from the dollar store. I also love their glass candleholders and vases. The dollar store in my town is not that great. It’s old, and sometimes it has to shut down for a lot of the summer because it’s so hot and they don’t have air conditioning.
I love these! I literally have around $20 to spend per daughter this year. I’ll definitely do a girl’s gift basket for them. And they can each pick out an item at the thrift store this weekend and that’s going to be it this year.
Their handlotions, shampoos, conditioners, gift jars, some of their dishes look more expensive than they really are. I have put together many a gift basket with a variety of items from the Dollar Tree.
Those are so cute! I like the tray with the jars. I always like to add those peppermint candies sprinkled around and always a candy cane on the front. I like to hook them on everything. I love your ideas. I hope you're enjoying the holiday season 🎄🛷❄️🦌
I loved every basket you made! It helps us frugal momma's out there LOL!!!! Please do more gift basket ideas in the future. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you all! 🥰☃🎄
Brooke thank you so much for the gift basket idea! What an amazing gift! Great job and thank you again! You and most of your followers are like me where we truly appreciate the gesture and thought! I introduced my EX-MIL and SIL to Christmas Villages from Hallmark. The towns, the trains, the banks, you know the drill! They were beyond excited and loved them! The following year, I bought figurines, gazebos, pine trees, to fill in the village , they were from Dollar Tree. You get the gist! They called me the very next day to tell me that because it was from the Dollar store they wanted me to know they donated them to the Goodwill... notice I said EX! Right!!! Thank you for all you do for us! ♥
neat ideas, i like the food ones, they are all nice and cheap. and useful. gifts we can give anytime too. to show we care for our neighbors or anyone. i think it also reminds us to care for one another cause we can rarely talk to friends and neighbors and coworkers or even relatives or strangers or homeless folks. and this gives us more of a reason to talk about what we can do to show God we want him here. by being thoughtful and kind. God loves it when we do deeds and spend our time talking about God and Gods kingdom.
Ive learned from my crafting heat from blow dryer get thise aggravating price tag stickers offf. This was so fun too watch love it so creative. You so fun
