I think people (including Wildes and Brou) are missing that Nick isn't saying Travis is/will be the most famous football player in America. He's saying the most famous American football player in the WORLD. I feel like a lot of folks underestimate how famous Taylor Swift is internationally.

The degree to which shows like this will completely disregard Pass Block Win Rates from offensive lines astounds me. The teams who are at the bottom of the league in this stat generally don't even make the playoffs. The teams who advance in the playoffs generally are ranked very high. (For the last 3 seasons, the team ranked #1 in PBWR has even won the Super Bowl.) When even the all-time great Mahomes didn't enjoy elite pass blocking in the one Super Bowl with his decimated line, how did he look? Regarding the Dolphins, they were next-to-last in PBWR last year. And the Fins have been #31, #24, #32, and #27 the last four years in PBWR. The Chiefs? #1, #1, #2, #6. The Bills? #6, #4, #8, and #4. Ravens? #9, #6, #10, and #8. Given how strongly this tracks with team success (or failure), Tua having nearly the worst pass protection in the entire league over his time in the NFL literally isn't even mentioned...instead, it's "if he's the guy he'll overcome and win anyway." (Something Mahomes, Manning, and even Brady didn't do.) McDaniel saw his line couldn't block anyone and came up with a brilliant try by flat out planning the offense around extremely quick hitting plays with a very quick time to throw and having a receiver with the rarest ability to create insanely quick separation in Hill. However, eventually you're going to end up in 3rd and long one way or another and you have no choice but to ask the line to just block their guy (and they couldn't, especially later in the year with all the backups). Also, late in the year teams started LIVING in nickel coverage against Miami dropping 7 in coverage and still getting tons of pressure with only 4 rushers on true pass sets (in the late Bills game, the Bills blitzed a single time the entire game as there was no need). I'm sure this seems like a defense of Tua. What I'm trying to point out is that in assessing / grading any QB's play the first place you want to look is at the PBWR on the line. Lawrence looked like he took a step back last year? Well, the Jags were 28th in PBWR. Love looked like he took a huge step forward? Well, the Packers took a step up all the way to #2 in PBWR last year.
