Wow! Wish I could have met the man when he was alive. And yes. Being an “organizer” is a very very valuable asset. I watched my grandfather keep a “crew” around himself for the business he ran. He wasn’t organized crime but he always kept a crew around that specialized. Each guy or gal seemed to specialize in something. Wish I could have met the “lynchpin of Bensonhurst.”
Dom betrays himself occasionally when you get a brief glimpse of his alter-ego. I'm really getting the impression that Nino was trying to protect Dom by not recommending him for membership.
Nino was smart he knew Dom wasn't ready to be made and running his own crew. I like Dom but even at his older age you could tell he dosen't have what it takes to be a varsity athlete. Small hands.
Funny how? You don’t understand the politics of organized crime and structure; and why it is what it is. Dom was a perfect soldier. You are implying that he was expected to be made and put a task on the same level as Roy Demeo and other serious money makers. Everyone’s not meant to be a captain of a crew. Soldiers make up 3/4 of the mafia.
He said he was acting copo for his uncle and didn’t have to take shit from John Gotti. That’s BS. I remember that video. Trust me, I know that’s fucking insane.
Matty was a shark, man. What a Ruthless life. Mr. Montiglio is definitely cut from a different cloth to indore that lifestyle. I cld b.s. with him all day about things he used to do. Crazy
Hey Matt once again, I agree 💯 👍. Nino had distain and deep seated hatred for Dom. First was the Music when Dom loved and liked playing music. Well Uncle Nino said that's for Junkies, Fags and Bums. Second was the service and Dom going to Vietnam. Dom was of the age to basically say F you I'm going. And Nino saying why would put your life on the line for your country when you have a family here to protect.Well Dom went against what Nino said. Nino always held a grudge. This reminds me of Nicky Scarfo and Crazy Phil in Philadelphia Mob 1981-1987. Yet Nicky Scarfo made Crazy Phillip with tissue paper instead of a saints card. Kind of a premonition of what Phil was a throw away on the toilet. And then Crazy Phil becomes a Rat 🐀 why? Not because he felt bad about what he got away with because he got 45 years in prison. And only had to do 5 years 5 months and 5 days. Anyways Nicky Scarfo was very crazy 🤪 I mean batshit crazy. But, the fact that the Underboss always Flipped when the shit hits the fan. The Boss goes in the can.
These top mafia guys especially the made guys were thinkers and tried to be smart. They designated each oerson to serve a role or job by what qualities they had. If you a werent a smart earner but was quiet and ballsy then you did sormthing else like whacking people. Every one did their thing. If you were close family to a top guy that was also a bonus.
Because Roy brought in a ton of money and could handle a piece of work Paul was against Roy getting made though Nino had to convince Paul that it was a good thing.
And the big things Roy did was car theft and narcotics so the fact that Paul had the reputation of being against drugs when he took Roy’s money is bs 💯
Bad business loaning 250k and expecting a guy to consistently come up with $1750 a week which is a lot of money for about 3 years just to cover the first 250 no interest. That’s a lot of faith in someone . Life would have to go perfect for that guy. You could have invested that 250 in some many better ways
There were special circumstances by the sound of it but normally that would not happen if un made guys cause problems they got whacked first questioned later
Dominik him self was no money maker he was an absolutly drug addict and he dissapeared out of fear. He never was made cause Nino didn't saw him on the way to that life . And after all he ratted all of them ( but he wasn't very successful as a witness )
I like to see how your ass would cope with being part of a crew that kills people and how your mind would be stop putting people down when youve never walked in there shoes
I keep hearing him say the hole in the wall Gang..Everyone Knows The REAL HOLE IN THE WALL GANG Was out in Vegas with Frank Cullotta Chicago mob. Most of the Movie CASINO is based on them...
Another video he said i was a capo. You cannot trust none of them on youtube. They are on youtube because they are the only ones left and not real enough to remain incognito. Who needs attentions...really.
Who knows, but I'll take a Green Berets Word for it over Gangsters..This man had seen WAY more violence and carnage than Uncle Nino or any of them..except the Gemini Crew Made alot of Chopped Meat 🍖 out of People. He most certainly killed many more men then many of the them in The 'Nam...He DID have a Fambly to consider too...Its easy to say go out in blaze of glory, but what about the wife and kids? Dom paid his "tough guy" dues in The Nam....he deserved to slip away to California, no? I think Dom was brutally honest about his own flaws and foibles...no reason to Lie. I believe This Green Beret. Matt NYC
On the streets the best insurance policy you can buy is taking out a decent sized loan from a powerful guy, Vinny Asaro did it when he was worried Joe Massino would have him clipped.
@@joeberraco5883 you’re right! Hard for me to think that way but it probably went faster than it was made! They should have learned three words - off shore accounts.
First of all Dominick is gone .. He passed away a year ago . Second , watch the lynchpin of Bensonhurst before you pass judgement.. Dom lived his life with two guns by his side ready to take on any sucker who wanted to step up.. none did .. uncle nino missed his shot and played himself.. get the whole story .. tubi . Lynchpin of Bensonhurst
Jesus , it’s an expression!! They called their penthouse in NJ hole in the wall . It’s like the word baseball team .. there’s more than one !!! Watch the film lynchpin of Bensonhurst on tubi and he explains how they named the crew ..
@@therealdominickmontiglio I haven’t seen it yet but it’s on my list though. I’ve listened to the podcast Mafia Tapes which is an 8 episode series interviewing Dominick Montiglio. Have you heard that one?
