Domino Review (Marvel Champions) - Everyone's New Favorite? 

For me it felt like I was thematically playing as her powers rather than her. Being the luck manipulation to make sure the right thing would come up when she needed it.

Definitely Great Content. Love the reflection on Domino and "Luck control" (or lack of Luck and more planning) and comparison vs some other Heroes. But sure, it "could" be viewed as the "game mechanic" version of thematic "luck". :) Love the way when you chatting regarding 'card value', that you "casually" came to "Busted" :) LOL It gets so much worse if you focus more on a "pure-wild-mana-cycling-deck" (except "White Fox").

Great analysis! I feel like that was a very balanced and thorough discussion that helped me understand the character beyond the current hype. Thanks!! For future content, I would enjoy scenario/modular content! Especially content about deck building and/or niche cards that work well against the scenario. For example, the way One By One is awesome against Ultron. Something giving cards or deck builds to consider when going up against a scenario would be fun!

It's funny, I think Domino is one of the best heroes in the game, but yeah, her hero kit is like, 28 cards.

I haven’t played a ton with her yet. But I definitely felt her lack of control kept me from flipping to alter ego at times, where she shines. I’ve been having a blast with her though.

I played twice with her and I can't say she's at the top for me. Too much planning every player phase having too be ware of what's on your hand and what's on top of your deck/discard pile. She's definitely on the more complex side and I need to play more to get more familiar with her style. I love your review method btw. Great video!

When I saw the length of the video I thought it was going to be very heavy and boring, but she definitely needs deep analysis because of her mechanics. The more I play her the more things I discover, my goal has been to keep Jackpot around as much as possible, in my hand, on top of the library, discard pile, or even under The Painted Lady. My priority is to get Probability Field as soon as possible, if it doesn't come soon, then I'll hang on with some allies and gun(s), and it's cool that you can pick it up from the discard pile, either with her AE ability or with Pip. Once you get all the parts, she is crazy good, cleans the table and keeps it clean and hits the villain hard. As you can see, I'm enjoying her very much, with leadership at the moment, but have my eyes on a Protection deck.

I’m having a lot of fun with Domino! I created a pretty weird leadership deck based on using Call For Aid to completely mill through her deck until only Jackpot! is left (as well as trigger card abilities when discarded from the top of the deck). While it is far from consistent, I’m surprised how well it works (I’ve beaten expert Rhino and Klaw). As long as she gets either of her supports out relatively early game, it’s pretty easy to get her other upgrades out and begin making use of the lone guaranteed Jackpot. I should also mention, I’m a pretty casual player so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something in the new rules reference guide that makes things resolve differently and breaks this deck haha.

One of my favorite heroes, definitely. Cards like probability field are perfect for the "luck feel", but stacking the deck is not. Still, I don't mind because I love it.

I played her against Juggernaut yesterday and did 23 damage in one turn because I drew Jackpot, swapped it to the top of the deck - which at this point consisted of 2 cards - and then kept on discarding and shuffling it back in when I used her Pistols/Sharpshooter, A Good Workout and attack with Probability Field. It really felt like Domino vs Juggernaut at the end of Deadpool 2.

I wasn't a fan of Honed Technique with her. I found that it's just not worth setting up. It's an expensive card and there's almost always an identity card in hand I'd rather play. Then you have to stuff a bunch of aggression events in, and there's not really any room for that since she essentially has a 20+ card identity before adding anything

I've got a few multiplayer games of her under my belt now, and as fun as she is she makes my head hurt a bit while taking long turns. The last deck I made with her that worked well was a cheap and eventless protection aspect that slimmed her deck down to basically her kit events, The Posse, Professor X, Preservation, and Digging Deeps by the end of the fight so she could focus on gunning her damage in. @VillainTheory will you be doing reviews on all the heroes? Player Side Schemes also change quite a bit of the game, especially Call for Backup in any blue or Cable deck.

She needs another way to rig the top card of the deck. You get 1 free rig but every other ability is kinda rng

I think it's the most difficult character among deck building and during play. I'm worried about receiving encounter cards often because I discard a lot of cards, is that okay?

Very powerful but maybe too brain burny for me to play with regularly.

Domino feels too powerful and too flexible. There is a skill element, and there is setup required to make her function at her top level, but she is so strong that she doesn't need to run optimally to crush villains. The pistols are too good. Probability field is too good. Jackpot is too good. I suppose it doesn't matter much as long people are having fun, but I find this character boring because the biggest challenge is optimizing a turn that's too long and doesn't actually need to be optimized for you to win. Snorezville.
