If some of y'all are wondering about the joke of Ashtray having a young dad it's supposedly a rip on Boyz N The Hood because Laurence Fishburne is only 6 years older than Cuba Gooding Jr. That's the supposed rumor that has been going around about the joke in this movie.

What? That's not it. The joke is people in the hood have children at a young age. Larry Fishburne's character looked like he was in his mid-30's at least. Cuba's character looked around early 20's, even though he was portraying a 17 year old. It's like that in any movie where an actor in his 20's plays a high school student. You could still believe Furious was Trey's father while watching the movie.

I've seen this movie probably 50 times. My HS buddies and I threw this on whenever we weren't out finding trouble and couldn't find anything to watch. I laugh as hard at it now as I did the first time I watched and it also transports me back to hanging out with my friends in HS. Such a fucking classic. I'll drop lines from this movie randomly at my wife and she just has no idea what I'm talking about. We will go to 7-11 and I'll just say "40s and 9s, thats my favorite store"
