with all the compact tractors being sold in the last few years...id really like to see an american company biuld impliments just for sub compact, like hay handling ..rake.. baler cutters...ect..not made in china !!! and not cost a chitload of money

Amen....we can always depend on Everything Attachments to make quality American implements....maybe they'll come out with a compact bailer

The compact vs full size is interesting. I see compact tractors and mini excavators go for more $ used than the big ones on the used market. 🙂 Mini balers are more expensive new than the full size used ones too! Equipment is a strange space.

Women will love the small Kubota. I have 5 acres of land and my BX2200 was the best purchase. At a 4 ft width, it is small enough to maneuver between garden beds. I move mulch and rocks, have brushhogged, turned my huge compost heap. There are times when I wish the bucket was bigger or I had more power, but it has been reliable and it's easy to operate. I do wish the oil filter was a little easier to get to. As I get older, the tractor takes over more of my work, but it's 18 yrs old now.

Thank you for putting it together. I also appreciate you mentioning your size, because I believe that if you can get something that is small, well built and functional, you'll use it. Perfect.

Just purchased a Kubota LX2610, I’ve been amazed at what this little guy can do (live on a farm and have lots of large equipment). Not only does it have the power needed to do almost anything you throw at it, but it sips diesel (only put 9 gallons in it over 22 hours of pretty hard use (dug out and installed a new farm lane and have hauled dozens of trees that fell in a storm 2 weeks ago. I easily would have put double in our JD 2040 and quadruple in our big 75hp Massey. It has its limitations (not a great digger, but great mover and grader). It’s my first new tractor and the drive and comfort is top notch.

I think this size tractor is handy on a big ranch or farm. I have a John Deere 770 that we can haul in a gooseneck trailer. Used it building fence, reseeding oil well locations and cleaning up the corrals and mowing. More mobile that a skid steer but handy in sheds and tight places.

Split between the two orange brands but leaning towards Kioti, myself. Their tractors solve many of your criticisms. Plus they have simpler analog gauges, dont have that dumb rocker pedal, have a couple things come standard that Kubota charges for (like the quick attach loader mount), and lastly it seems they work a little harder to get you in with some of their "packaged" implement incentives.

I got the hydronic leaks in the front loader fixed because I abused the hell out of it! I used it like a bulldozer ! The 31 Grand is hydrostatic like a riding lawn mower . I love it! I have a kubota L185 it's old but starts easy and works well with the front dump, 4 foot box blade and bush hog. The only issue is that some parts are kinda hard to find but if you have the room you can find them for sale easily for parts or to exchange out for the one in better shape

I have an LS 3033H tractor bought brand new. It has over 400 hours.Four wheel drive also. Changed oil and hydro filters It doesn't have emissions like newer ones. I'm 6'5" 245 pounds leg room could be better but then cars aren't much better either for leg room. My fuel tank is in the back fairly easy to fill. To make steering easier I put a spinning knob on.

I have an older Kubota compact tractor with 4700 hours and I have worked it to death. I don't abuse my equipment, but they definitely get used hard. That thing always starts even in the cold, it drives nice, the hydro is still strong, and the bucket still works (sort of). I have racked around 4700 hours on that machine and I have had it since it was brand new. The engine is probably the most reliable part on this tractor, and I have only needed to replace the water pump, alternator, and some rubber and steel lines here and there. There is no emissions bs on it so it isn't choked up like a lot of the newer ones. It doesn't smoke unless it's really loaded, but that's what diesels do. It's also very fuel efficient and fairly powerful. Not as powerful as some of my John Deere's, but still plenty to get the job done. As for the rest of the machine, things break and wear out after +20 years and 4700 hours. The hydraulic controls for the bucket are completely worn out and sloppy, so being accurate with the bucket is not easy. I sometimes need to coax the gear selector to make it work, and the tires are pretty worn down (they are expensive). I'm probably going to fix it, but in the end it is the little beater tractor that refuses to die. I will use that little Kubota until the engine blows or it rusts out.

Have a 2017 1736 with 5hrs @ 61% payed off, what a presision piece of machinery! A friend bought the new 2019 1735 , side by side comparison , his is 30% louder [ Diesel rattle like all pre- emissions ; all brands] Just progress I guess. Have a 2017 kubota mx5200 gear TLB 560hrs 64% paid off, its agreat unit; quiet as a mouse just like the massey 1736. Have 1988 MF 1020 3500$ unit with 1800hrs hydro-static very low wine, lowest of any of 25 tractors ever been on. My opion [ Best type, size, brand, trany, H.P. tractor is the one thats paid off and you logged 2000 - 4000hours of respectable ,reliable service. All new tractors with less than 500hrs are yet to be proven. So get them paid off, rack up good real work, lots of safe hours. Just about anybody can get a loan on a unit and thrash it on Utub. Show and tell should be informative, instuctive, entertaning, safe, and non-distructive to enviroment and life.

Great video as always. I would recommend watching the Messick's youtube channel for some great info on the Kubota tractors. He discuses the features of each model like (B,L, M etc) and the application for each. I spent years looking for a tractor for my little 14 acres. I ended up with the Kubota L2501. I found that the B series was great but not enough weight for what I needed. It also is a much larger frame than the. Also price wise it was not much more in cost comparison to the B. The B you have has some more 'luxury' features with ergonomics but I liked what I 'could do'. We live down the road from you all in Mocksville.

I'm a "buy American" guy too, unfortunately when I was tractor shopping in 2010 my researched showed me that there was only 1 truly American made tractor at that time. It was the JD M series 5065M was the specific tractor I would have bought but I couldn't find one plus it was about 10k more than the Kubota I did buy. The JD 5065E that I did look at was made in India. I'll just say that it was easy to see why that JD was cheaper than the Kubota. Happy Thanksgiving.

The America made tractors and implements are made for the Big farmers , John Deere has a line of compact tractors and implements for the hobby farmer but are kinda expensive, that’s why people buy foreign made stuff and the people are usually small in size and amount of land they farm outside the USA , that’s what I was told by a dealer .

I have a B3300 and fit perfect since I am 5’ 6”. I have 16acres and would love a bigger tractor like the Kubota “L” series for heavier work. However, it’s heavily wooded with post oak and would have a hard time navigating between trees so my “B” series will have to do so long as I do small bites at a time. After all, why take all the fun away by getting things done sooner. 🤙🏽. P.s, saving up for that grapple.

It does look like a very handy tractor. They don’t make one tractor that does everything perfectly for everyone.

I have an L3301 and am considering an EA grapple. Are they the best in your opinion? BTW I love the channel! By far my favorite.

The more kubota videos i watch the morexi notice the hydro is REALLY noisy! Hopefully the cvt on the larger 60hp mx and grand l are quieter. I havent noticed nh and deere being that loud
@antiqueshistoryandconspira3791
I think we're getting a Kubota soon but I think what we's gonna do is trade in a John Deere we have out in the yard for it because it's broken and sorta an antique of the early 2000s era. Plus we already have a smaller one. That reminds me, we're gonna have to bring home the Kubota soon from the farm cause the grass is getting to tall.

I have both full size and compact tractors and I think of them as different size wrenches. Both have a place in my toolbox and both have applications. Regardless of the size of the land this remains true. Say you get a lot of rain (like we have been) and the ground is soft...compact is king. Say you need to do something on a small scale like till a small food plot...compact is king. You can manipulate the attachments by hand usually which is also nice. I like that it isn’t a big effort to swap an implement and just go do something quick where I avoid swapping implements on the bigger machines. Say you need to get in some tighter spots like when clearing land...compact will be handy - especially where height and size prevents precision mowing. The compacts are best for a good percentage of daily farm tasks. Now, there is nothing like a full size tractor when you are doing some real work - like clearing large areas or lifting big stuff. The Deere with the loader and the Kubota compact should together meet most of your needs. I always find excuses for another tractor 🙂.

Stoney Ridge Farmer compact is especially handy when it’s just one guy running all the equipment and the mrs is in the house most of the time. I’m a solo homesteader/farmer at times 🙂.

Another thing to remember is that although Kubota is a Japanese company you're employing Americans to build bbn if if you buy one, I'm all for American companies but I also support Toyota trucks and Kubotas because they employ southerns!

I have 3 acres of heavily wooded land on the lake oak trees everywhere. Looking for something to help maintain my property. What do you suggest. My front yard is 3/4 acre and has 97 oak trees small and big lol. Professional advised would be awesome.

I'm 6'2" and weight about 220#, I use Mahindra Max 28xl HST on my acreage. I to don't like where the dipstick is located (next to the cowling) but with smaller engines (3 cylinder) there is not much space due to compactness. I have worked my tractor hard, it has never failed me. I have a loader with grapple attached to my bucket, backhoe, 5ft box blade, 5ft landpride rotary mower, 5ft King Kutter finish mower, 5ft disk, 6ft landpride landscape rake. I have cleared underbrush and 18"+ diameter trees. These compact tractors are meant to work hard in densely woody areas. I wouldn't hesitate using this tractor bailing hay. Good Luck with the Kubota. Enjoy your service and show! You might think about fencing your land for deer not cattle!

I have a 3800 HST 2012 Bought new, will only lift about 1000 lbs with front bucket and the fuel pump went out at about 600 hrs. Disconnected it runs alright, I wish it would lift more weight.

You may have to shim your relief valve. Sounds like it's dumping over too early. I have the same machine, same year even and I can easily pick up around 1400 lbs on fel

The fwd/rev foot pedal looks awkward to me. I had a 1984 B8200HST and the pedal was way more convenient in size and placement than the one in the video appears to be.
