My mom raised a family of 4 on a 3.2 CU FT Maytag that died last year after more than 20 years of service. She got a Speed Queen and the 3.2 is still more than adequate.
I bought a SpeedQueen, and my wife and I were originally worried about capacity, but we haven't had any issues. We have used it for a light king sized duvet insert and it fit fine.
i currently have an estate washer and dryer which has lasted since 2005 and one repair. i was thinking about upgrading to something with the digital display, but the knob works for me too. I have a super king bed and it fits the comforter inside the estate washer and dryer. the dryer on the other hand has had three repairs- two by a tech and one by me. the gas solenoids and the ignitor twice plus the thermal cut off ( i have extra parts just in case). Does this means the SQ dryer has a small capacity drum? or will it fit the super king item?
I wash three king-size microfiber plush blankets in my TC5000 and have watched the turnover during a complete wash cycle. It does a fine job in a normal cycle, and my grimy work clothes actually get clean. When I have to use a coin laundry for rugs or bath mats I use the Lysol or Clorox brand laundry sanitizers.
I bought TR 7 earlier this year and absolutely love it!! 7 year warranty. Only drawback the pair was almost $3000 but hoping will not have to buy another pair. I have had washing machines die after 5 years.
@@dorothyrunrath2386 Interesting , LG was my second choice (top loader with agitator). TR 7 is very quiet. When I walked into the store I still was deciding between the TR 7 and the classic TC 5. My salesman (I am a repeat customer) said you can't beat that 7 year warranty with the TR 7. That sealed the deal. My husband encouraged me to spend the money on the SQ, he doesn't like problems.
The speedqueens fill to 100%. The larger cu ft competitors typically fill to about 60% . a 5cu ft washer filled to 60% is only 3 cu ft. which is worthless when you have an additional 2 cu ft of comforter that doesn't get wet, or worse becomes soap stained.
.... just a small detail that the "insider" forgot to mention . I think he should climb back inside his super capacity Samsung and wait for the repairman to arrive. And maybe pull his head out of his derriere while he's in there . LOL ... What a maroon !
He also doesn't seem to realize that the dust you breathe in every day of your life consists in large part of human skin cells. Time to let go of your paranoia there , bud.
@@nickg9021 I couldn't agree more. I dealt with a Whirpool washer the past 3 years that I've repaired 3x. Many other RU-vidrs and Vloggers describe how great the model is because 'It's so easy to repair'. If I have to replace the plastic POS spindle 3x in 3 years, then it's not a good product. period. Ultimately the suspension failed. My biggest complaint on the speedqueen so far? I had to clear out my drain pipe because the discharge was too much for the 40 yr old clogged drain I had. That's not a washer problem to me... that's a 'Washer is doing what it should do' problem
Support American made all the way🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪 speed queen is the best had one for the last 25 years still running without a flaw. They are built and built the right way you cannot go wrong
Mine is a 2023 with large capacity. My only beef is that I shouldn’t have to call a repairman & pay 200+ to remove the agitator & get an apron string unwound from the agitator axle..This should be easier, like replacing the belt on a vacuum cleaner. Another RU-vidr says it can be done with inflatable airbag shims.. We’ll see tmro..🤔
My wife insisted on a front loader and I had to take charge to get a SQ washer and dryer 5 years ago. She now tells all her friends what a great choice she made!
I moved from a house with a new whirpool top loader, and when I'd wash our queen comforter, a portion would come out dry. Like no water had ever touched it even after a full wash cycle on deep water, bedding. I recently got the TC5 and it does a great job washing that same comforter. If you pay attention to owners manuals, you can fill speed queen to the top. New "large capacity" washers can be filled 3/4 of the way at most. The true capacity ends up being the same as a SQ.
Liked your video! I’ve been through 3 HE energy star machines in the past 14 years, one front loader, one top loader. We are empty nesters now, and I’m not going to wait to purchase a TR7. Hoping it will be the last washer in my lifetime.
Bought one. Size is plenty big. Washed 2 huge blankets at the same time. Just don’t use extra fill option. Cleans everything so much better with agitation. Bulletproof and worth every penny
For me (being single), the smaller tub capacity of a Speed Queen wouldn't be any issue whatsoever. I used to wash ALL my stuff by hand (for over 30 years) so if I need to go back to washing a comforter by hand, that's fine. Besides, I STILL wash large bulky items such as blankets by hand anyway. I don't ever use a dryer, as I air-dry my clothes...so all I really need nowadays (for convenience) is a washer. Even if I let laundry pile-up, even THEN I don't have THAT much to wash really, so the smaller tubs Speed Queens have wouldn't in any way stop me from getting one (or waiting until they came out with larger-capacity tubs). Of course, I realize my situation is not "the norm" and so most people have different requirements -- AND likely families -- so I can see where a larger capacity tub would be better...for me though, it isn't. -- BR
@@hiker-uy1bi No, I air-dry them. Same for blankets, etc. In all the apts I've rented that came with a W/D, I never used the dryer -- a waste of money (electric bill) that isn't necessary. And what's the "urgency" to get something dry anyway? There isn't. I hope to buy a house in 2 years (in Colorado Springs) when the market is less insane, but even then would not buy a dryer, just a washer. In the space next to the washer -- where a dryer would have been in "normal" households, I'd build a rack to hold my large ("AquaTainers") of water, part of my Emergency Supplies (food, water, power, etc.) I always have on hand no matter where I live (even when renting). Having the water there in that space instead of a dryer is WAY more useful to me. -- BR
Texas and bigger tubs, that’s the first I have heard of that! If you go to a laundromat and use one of the new Speed Queen touch screen machines then you can do a rinse the machine cycle first and flush away any left overs from the previous machine user. Peace of mind and a great feature 👍
I own a TC5 and don’t have any issues with capacity. Our blankets and quilts always come out perfectly clean. I average 2 loads of laundry a day. It is a fine machine indeed..
Fyi hotels/motels wash sheets & towels used by who know who, and people reuse them/sleep on them. I'm not concerned about water in a laundry mat. Otherwise great video. Plan on buying a Speed Queen this week. My Samsung just died.
I don’t think you should wait at all if you need to get a new washer, get yourself a speed queen. There is a small niche of customers that is going to wash king size comforters in a top load washer. They should be washed in the front load washer. There isn’t a top load washer on the market that can handle a king size comforter. The speed queen can easily wash, queen size blanket, I have washed a queen size comforter in my speed queen, not the bulky ones, but a regular one. So to wait for the large capacity speed queen is really silly.
I have a working Kenmore 80 washer & dryer from 1985. The washer is starting to make a hard snapping/clunking noise after the spin cycle. I was looking at the Speed Queen, but now I think I'll tear the Kenmore apart to see what is making the noise and fix it myself. The Kenmore 80 says it is heavy duty/high capacity. I'm not sure what the actual capacity is. The lid doesn't lock. I've never used a washer with a locking lid. My Kenmore Elite French door fridge from 2000 went out a couple years ago, but I replaced the start capacitor, relay, and an evaporator coil fan, and it hasn't given me any more problems. It may last another 20 years.
Narrator is over thinking capacity issue. The new TR models have the agitator attached to the drum so they move together, thus NOT grinding fabric of bulky items. So capacity is only a problem with the old CLASSIC models (which are still available and unbeatable for very dirty, greasy clothes, like what construction workers or mechanics bring home).
I just bought a 2016/2017 that looks just like that for $80 with an old gas dryer. The washer worked great and was perfectly clean inside (tub and cabinet) and out. I gave it to my friend for Xmas / Wedding present. I run citric acid, vinegar, and oxi clean through the used washers to hopefully clean them.
Just scheduled my 2nd repair on a 5-year-old LG washer. That may not sound like much, but two $300 repairs on a $600 washer is where I'm at. For me it's not so much the money, as much as the HASSLE of having to chase down repair people, schedule, negotiate, haggle, wait for the work to be done, AND play money. Also during that time my family of 5 cannot wash their laundry. I am becoming a huge _Speed Queen_ fan right quick. 😁 As for the laundromat thing, I'm not concerned as much about "other people's water"; I'd just use an extra cupful of *Lysol Laundry Sanitizer* . But for me, the time and complexity hassle of driving to the laundromat, paying, waiting, and carrying the laundry back would drive me bonkers. NEVER BUY LG OR SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Sure, they look real nice. And they work (for the first 12-18 months). But after that it's headaches and interruptions! If you have LG kitchen and laundry appliances, and other stuff, and, say, a Tesla car, you will be spending a full time job just handling the breakdowns. Chasing down warranties, calling and babysitting repair people, etc. Not a pleasant lifestyle! 😡
I have had a front load LG with direct drive for about 8 years. Not one issue. Got it about 8 years ago from big box store. It's been outstanding. After watching a lot of washer videos..I have learned that Front loaders are the best lasting normally ..because it does not need to move clothes up and down or from side to side(no agitator etc needed).....and since virtually all new washers comply with federal water saving measures, Top loaders often have a lack of proper water filling/ clothes cleaning challenges. Just my experiences and I suspect you are having issues with a Top loader? All the above said...yes for the cost of two or three pretty good washing machines, one can purchase one Speed Queen commercial washer and so its a personal choice for all to make.
This was a good video and I’m excited to see what they build in the future. Just purchased a TC-5 and we feel like it was a solid pick for our family’s needs. We’re excited to upgrade to the matching gas dryer later this year.
We bought a speed queen TC5 in 2022. Works great and takes way less time to complete one load then our LG did. Blankets fit fine. If you have a bulky king size blanket it will be a tight fit but works. I feel like loads much bigger then the TC5 can handle will take forever to dry.
I don’t care what this guy says. I just bought a tc5 recently and it’s the best washer I ever bought. I actually feel like I have clean clothes compared to the other junk (Maytag) I have had before.
Well... Most of those LG and Samsung top load washers with those big capacities only fill up the tub halfway with water anyway, so even though they'll fit a king size comforter, they can't wash or rinse them effectively without the water. If you'll be washing a lot of king size comforters, play it safe, and just buy a big capacity front loader.
More water doesn’t necessarily clean better than less water. Detergent cleans textiles. Dirty water is removed in the spin cycle. In any type of machine, cleaning effectiveness is influenced by the optimal combination of pretreating stains, detergent (type & amount), wash & rinse cycles, spin cycle speed to extract the wash & rinse water.
I just bought a used Speed Queen washer dryer set. The lady I bought it from said she could wash a queen size comforter in it. That is the biggest size comforter we have in the house, so hoping this washer works well. BTW, I have a Maytag that I hope to get rid of so I can have the Speed Queen hooked up. My Maytag has been nothing but problems!
I'm getting a Speed Queen after saying GOOD BYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE to my 3rd MayTag washer. Longest any lasted was 3 1/2 years! 😢 💔 I'm hoping this Speed Queen will last longer 🤦♀️
My Maytag commercial technology washer has been the worst machine I've ever bought. Model MVWB765FW0 It has cost me so much in repairs that I have paid for it twice. This has the large drum, but it really doesn't wash a set of queen size sheets right. They come out a twisted mess. Don't make me laugh about putting a comforter in, because that would be asking for the Maytag to finally fall apart. The huge drum is for light loads only! About the Maytag dryer, more junk. It has been worked on twice. And, the lint screen is the worst mess! The pair was bought new in 2017 I feel sorry for anybody who buys Maytag. Every time I use this washer, I know it could quit on me for the last time. I would feel guilty to give this equipment away. Experience tells me I have two choices, SPEED QUEEN, or else the cheapest set I can find. There is no middle ground.
Best decision i ever made was getting rid of my Maytag and buyi Speed Queen! I love this washer. My clothes are so much cleaner now and I can wash everything in it!! ❤@@kayfortner7150
I got a similar model. family of 5 Never found a large quilt or blanket/comforter that we couldn't wash in it. I do remember I found the hack that let the water rise to the top. Just me and wife now, it's still going strong, no hiccups yet. The spec on mine said 3.3 cu in.
We bought a speedqueen less than a month and a half ago in Amite, La. It worked fantastic at first but now it stops during the wash (with water still inside) and two lights blink on the controls. The only way to reset it is to unplug it and it may do it again or complete the cycle.
Who cares it's small. IT DOESN'T BRAKE I have had my Speed Queen for 12 years nothing and it works Perfectly. All the other washers die. You know why Home depot & Lowes doesn't sell them because you won't be back to the store in 5 years to buy another one. A little History of Speed Queen there all made in America they started making washers for Hospitals, Hotels, & Laundry mats. Yes it's small and the other companies are big but they ALL BRAKE except for SPEED QUEEN .
We own this model of S.Q. and would never put blankets in our washer. We use laundry marts for the "big" stuff. We are in our 60's and have only purchased two washers in our lifetime and plan to pass our current on down to our daughter.
Id love to eventually get one BUT I bought a house that had a front load LG Tromm.....i love it! Needed a drain pump at 12 years that we did DIY watching RU-vid vids. Easy cheap fix. That thing spins so fast i have to remove the clothes with a spatula! Clothes are always clean and fresh.❤
I had the 432 model from 2013. You can maximize this whole tub. Pound-for-pound they are more efficient because you can utilize the whole tub in a Speed Queen.
I bought my Speed Queen in 2022 after a lot of research. It’s the best washer I’ve ever owned, and it will most likely outlive me (I’m 72). It’s plenty big enough for my needs.
The ONLY place/time a 3.2 cu. ft capacity is an issue, is in the showroom or advertisements. 😅 I just bought a new washer the other day. I started doing so serious homework. I saw 4.5, 4.7, & even FIVE cubic feet! I got really worried since my Maytag Atlantis had just coughed up a transmission after TWENTY THREE years and the part was unobtainable and would have been the price of a brand new "bells & whistles" machine ($650+). I was determined to go big and buy a Speed Queen TR5 or TR7 since there is absolutely nothing better, but again, was concerned about whether we could live with a 3.2 cu/ft tub. I looked up the old specs on my dinosaur-aged Maytag. Guess what? We'd been living happily and just fine with no complaints for 23 years with a 3.2 cu/ft tub all along. I ran down to the independent shop I bought my first used washer/dryer set from 40 years ago, when I finished college. I later bought the Atlantis from them. This time, I settled on the TR7 after a 30 minute conversation with their head technician that works in the field. I'm going back soon to scoop a DR7 Dryer even though our old timer is still churning but getting tired. Again, 3.2 only matters to the sales reps at the big box stores! 😅
Agree 3.2 tubs will work just fine for most folks. Maytag Atlantis and Performa series were Maytags attempt to offer a budget washer to complement their more expensive traditional line. When Maytag bought Magic Chef they got the "Norge" designed washer platform. A pretty good budget series, except for the transmission and tub seal. A Shorter life compared to the more robust traditional Maytag and Speed Queen transmissions.
Tub size is a faulty measurement because it can't be compared between technologies. Front-loaders operate by lifting the laundry out of the water and flinging it back in. Therefore, they require the most tub volume for a given load. The TR series allows you to cram in more load per tub size than old-fashioned top-loaders/TC series because the agitator doesn't move relative to the tub and you don't have the risk of it tearing up your queen size comforter (even though cleaning may not be very good when you do that).
I'm not a tech but I've repaired a few older whirlpools and ge. Any ways this excites me. I had bad luck with the tr series and saving to get this series I can't wait!!!
The motel I am staying in has Speed Queen TC5 washers and dryers. They are free to use by guests. No coin boxes on them. They do a GREAT job of washing. No fancy DA agitator needed. From what I see on the laundry equipment mark SQ is not usually marketed to household consumers. Only to commercial. And a question-would that new giant SQ washer meet the new water/energy use requirements? I feel these regs are dumb and need to go. Let the USER decide how much water or power for his washloads. I don’t know how old the SQ washers and dryers at the motel are-they still soldier on! But showing their age-not as quiet as new SQ washers of the same model#. The house I am moving to has no washer-dryer. Will have to buy my own. My house was lost in a fire. Insurance is paying for my temp housing until a settlement comes.
Maytag exists only in name, which is owned by Whirlpool. Maytags of today have absolutely nothing to do with Maytags of yore. I love Speed Queen top loaders and have owned that brand since 1988. My current SQ washer was purchased in 2007 and is still going strong. It even has the warm rinse option, which is great for wool and cotton.
The larger capacity on these washers these days is misleading when the suspension's cant handle those heavy loads, the SQ has smaller capacity but can handle the weight no prob..
Slight problem with this reasoning.... Governments seem to mandate that washers with larger tubs, are not allowed to be filling to the rim. We see this on all those washers that say 4.4, 5, 6 cu ft, etc. There are various demos on RU-vid, where people rigged the lid lock so that you can see the washing action. And all those ones above 4.0 cu ft, they all use a partial water load. 1/2 or like 2/3 max, never more. Those machines don't submerge the clothes, but the clothes partially stick above the water. Do we really want a machine like that? Might compromising by sticking with the below 4.0 cu ft ones, provide a better wash? I think so ! And for those (very) odd times where one must actually wash a king size comforter, which happens how often again? - one could take it to the dry-cleaners. Not laundromat, but dry cleaners. So I don't know if size is all such a problem here. Again, look at all the videos of large washers. It's very questionable how well they clean !!!
My parents have a Speed Queen front loader. It is a few years old, but is rock solid. They have rear controls, not front controls, but that doesn’t matter. It doesn’t bounce or get out of balance. Everything seems to be made of metal except for the soap drawer and the control knobs, but it is just a tank.
We are buying a TC5 from a local family owned business (they also service these). To me it makes no sense as ours just died and buying a $500-$800 pos from a big box store and have to possibly replace it in five years. Our broken down washer is only 3.2cu so I'm not to concerned about size. Now I've heard Speed Queens can break down as well...just a roll of the dice to me.
bought 2 pre 2016 SQs new just like this one, with matching dryers. works fine with large loads. yes, it'll wash blankets. no, you can't fit a comforter in there of any size. I take my comforter to the laundry mat and use a front load once a year or so. I think you can still get the model with the mechanical dial, but you'd have to find the laundry mat version at a commercial supplier.
Our 25 yo kenmore washer died the day after Thanksgiving. We got a ge washer for $500 and will be delivered tomorrow. I am already doing research on how to repair it myself. My next washer after ge WILL be a Speed Queen!
All the larger tubs only fill with half water i think the larger tubs are troubling with balance issues. Speed queen is a good american made brand not perfect but solid
I replaced my top loader with an LG front loader in 2013. I’ve never regretted it for even a minute. I can wash Q size down comforters in it, down pillows, bulky bath maths, as well as wool & cashmere 😅sweaters and other gentle care textiles. On top of the increased range of laundry load types and sizes, our water consumption is much lower. I’ll never go back to a top load washer.
Thanks for update I love my speed Queen I have had my belt driven washer and dryer since 1990 ! Some minor maintenance like belts etc living in South Africa I’m just worried about parts going forward but swear by these products❤ the new larger one sounds great but I’m quite happy with mine😉
replaced a 5 cubic ft HE GE top loader with a TC5 last year, the GE drum was giant sized but can only "clean" clothes if it was 1/3rd full or less, and it's so deep my short partner has to use tongs to reach the bottom. The 'tiny' 3.2cu ft drum on the SQ can be filled right to the top and still clean clothes.
when i retired i got hungry and learned how to fix washers and dryers anything made by whirlpool is is easy to fix but speed queen takes special tools and can not be fixed at home must pay the big cost or junk it out
My 8 year old sq transmission just shot craps. The 15 year warranty will pay for parts but witj the multiple service calls and wait to order the parts i can by a new washer that will last as long for half the cost of the sq.
We have a similar unit but without the extra rinse switch. The only problem in ten years was the timer switch, I replaced myself. We had a comforter we washed twice. The top has some rust but old reliable still gets used almost every day. I would never buy any washer but a SPEED QUEEN
Unlike other brands with big tubs you can fill only 70%, you can fill the TC5003 to the brim. The actual usable capacity ends up the same. No need to wait.
Sadly our matching set of 9 year old Speed queen top loader and front loader dryer are about to have a divorce. The dryer 3 position switch and timer has burned up and its now discontinued. Now I'm left with a 1400 dollar piece of scrap. I will not be replacing it with another speed queen as its BS that they have done away with normal replacement parts for these. Going to buy a 500 dollar (who cares brand now).. Signed a not happy client.
We couldn't get workshop towels and mop pads clean, and all our synthetic fabrics were pilling from the TR7. Sold it after a few months at a significant loss and have an Electrolux front load now that we love! Our TR7 was the updated version too!
Love the info for the new units that are on the way. But it would have been better to describe the wash action between the black top, white top and grey top consoles, you know the models. Especially when you are telling people about washing a king size unit.
Thanks so much. My 23yr old MaytagNeptune finally died last week. I calculate it did over 20,000 loads for me (i have dogs!). It's like losing a best friend. I want another front load machine but what to buy! On a slim budget right now so may buy a used top loader while I decide....
I cant even fit my queen sized comforter in my 2017 Speed Queen 8 series, i have to take it to the laundromat to wash it in a big capacity front loader and that's not a Speed Queen because they don't make a large capacity front load washer. They are tiny compared to some of the most basic offerings from other manufacturers. I bet they lose a lot of sales from people who would spend Speed Queen money for a front loader but don't because they are just too small.
I love laundromats. It's a vibe. I'm getting ready to replace a 30yr old speedqueen dryer. Can't figure out why it sure down after 10min. Components test good.
@@maximusvonce1381 I asked what the model #was Not if yours was still the original moter.l bought a used washer without model #tag. It's a whirlpool elite. I'm trying to order parts on line but no can do without model. Thank you for any help.
Absolutely the best washer for the money. Speed Queen is in a class of their own. Owned so many other brands prior to SQ and they all shit the bed after a few years of service. No issues with the capacity here.
I still use a Maytag that was bought brand new in 1983. It will be 41 years old this year and works and looks like brand new. I like the Speed Queen and will consider if my Maytag ever go "out" and can't be repaired. My Maytag is Almond colored and I dislike just white - I wish Speed Queen would come out with other colors - at least Almond but really I am ready for Harvest Gold or Avocado again. Does anyone make make washer and dryers in colors anymore other than white????
Your selling Hype . Tub size does not matter . However the 3.2 is not really with the top fill at 4.5 that amounts to close to any over priced chinese 5 cf that only fills 50% . This present model is more in line not taking space . So larger will pay much more than present models
The filter in the inlet hose may be clogged. Very likely if you have well water. Just remove the inlet hose at the back of the washer and clean out the mesh filter if it is clogged.
The only front loaders that are great are commercial models that cost $2,000 - $3,000+ If your looking to spend under $1400 there's only two washer to consider: Speed Queen TC5 and Maytag Commercial. Anyone telling you otherwise is flat out misleading you for other reasons. They aren't recommending a washer that agitates and cleans the best. Their version of 'best' has more to do with optimized, not clean. I know way to much about washer now.
Considering that a speed queen will wash your clothes well in half the time that it takes other brands, you can afford to have a smaller tub and get a lot of laundry done. One thing I don't like about your video is the scare tactics of using laundromats. No "germs" are going to get on your clothes, and most people are using standard detergent which isn't harsh cancer causing chemicals. People need to use laundromats because that's life, and you don't need to try to scare people. If you have super sensitive skin, you may have to be careful still. The convenience alone of not having to go to the Laundromat is enough to make people not want to have to go. So, if you need a new washer and dryer, just get a speed queen. If you just want to upgrade just because, go ahead and see what comes out.
Thanks for putting out this information. I am going to wait. I have been looking at Speed Queen recently because my Whirlpool washer went out after 15 years. , and could not figure out why the capacity was so small on a Speed Queen. Do you know what is the largest size it will come in?
Speed Queen used to offer different tub sizes way back under MaGraw Edison’s ownership in the residential market. That usually followed the idea that economy models had a more shallow tub while the Cadillac models had the deeper tub all on the same chassis. But with regulation changes in 1980 and new ownership under Raytheon the solid tub and the different tub sizes and overflow rinses were done away with. My mothers washed her waterbed comforter in that era just fine! So not sure why this one wouldn’t as it’s still about the same in terms of cubic feet!
Back in the day, McGraw-Edison was responsible for many high quality, with great attention to detail, electrical appliances under the Fostoria, Manning-Bowman, and Toastmaster brands, among others. They did have a "low end" division under the Bersted Manufacturing brand. Even the compromised brands under McGraw-Edison were still decent.
Looks like Speed Queen has no plans to build a top load washer with a bigger tub. I called SQ directly and a large distributor that both acted annoyed with the question with a resounding NO we are not building a larger tub top loading washer. Anyone hear different? Bummer if true !
I have a retired colleague who just bought one. My question is do they make one without an agitator? We have been lucky with our Fischer/Paykel so far. Unfortunately our local dealer doesn’t sell them? Where do we buy one that is close to Hartford, CT.?
We bought a new Speed Queen roughly 2 years ago. Nothing but trouble with the lid lock. The other day it refused to unlock. Had to disassemble it to get the lock out. Hosed it down with WD-40 to get it moving again. More than a couple times, it has filled with water, and then shut down. I am not impressed.
Please - you mentioned something PIVOTAL here at 1:16 and I would like to see a video dedicated to it; the idea many people have that because you have a large tub you can do a whole week's worth of laundry in one shot - resulting in wearing out/breaking the suspension, agitator and washplate. Why can't people understand that is awful for the machine? Been trying to get this through a family member's head and they just don't get it!
