I don't know how this happened, but somehow it did, thank you so much for the 500k views, you guys are awesome! I just save these moments, to remember them in the future, but I'm glad it somehow brings you guys joy :)
I think rally and tt bikes doesnt have more skills than other motorsports, but the gap between a and accident and a fatal one are waaaaaaaay more tight than any other motorsport
@@camialeh way more skill rally and tt tracks are way more unpredictable and unregulated also spectators can be anywhere meaning drivers have to skillfully drive around more obstacles where as other mother sports are mainly kept to tracks with high regulations and rules and no spectators on track
you forgot all the pointless junctions he mentions. sure theere were junctions, but they wee on straights where there was no chance of confusion. it would be better to give less more important calls than more unimportant calls, it gets overwhelming. sometimes too much information really IS too much information.
I think it's because of much more detailed the surroundings are and how tight the driving path is, unlike other racing games where all you can see is a highway and a bunch of cars
In many racing games the path is quite large and so tight so it make the car slower than actual, but when it comes to rally, the path is more curvy and tight which makes the car look maybe even faster than actual.
I thought about this recently and compared forza horizon 4 to dirt rally. In forza the "small and tight" roads have one lane in each direction and each lane is effectively 2 to 3 cars wide. So when you think about it its actually a lot wider than a typical real life road. On the other hand in dirt rally you sometimes have barely enough space to put your car sideways for a turn. That has a huge effect on the perceived speed.
If I were the co-driver, I would lose my breath from all those impacts. lol. I'd be like "six right into crest OOF and OOF crest OOF six left over OOOF crest ..."
The Finland Dirt Rally stages are based on Ouninpohja - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H05Os2d6mIs.html. The start of this section in particular is around the 11:50 mark.
@@Vilakazi no. There isn’t one race engineer. And usually the stages are out in the middle of no where with no service. The race engineer would have to do the same thing as the co driver bit without knowing what the car is doing and with a severe delay
I've played like this with a friend. He streamed his game over discord and we went through the layout slowly so he could tell me all the calls he wanted where and when and then we went for the real thing.
@@rupty6573 rough, really rough lol. It's pretty hard to keep up with some of the callouts. I can't imagine actually sitting in the passenger seat and having to do make them
@@michaelpelfrey6021 there's a video from the WRC of a co driver getting a back injury over one of the jumps. every time the car landed, drop down, or hit a large bump was pure pain for him. he keeping calling out the notes and make it the end of the stage.
the best is in Dirt Rally 2 when you nail a rock at 200 and go sailing into the forest but your co driver keeps calling out pace notes without missing a beat.
It's actually not that hard to understand. It's supposed to be simple The numbers they say on the turns are the speed you should take the corner at, 10 being not breaking at all, and for a 1 you basically need to stop completely So when they say slight left 7 you know you don't have to brake that much, but you still have to slow down
@@XxmatixX6videosdiariosdenadav i think the scale used in dirt rally is 1 to 6 instead of 1 to 10 with 1 being the slowest aside from hairpin and 6 being the fastest
little advice i would start to turn the copilot to making his calls earlier is it gives you much more time. Slowly change the setting very gradually. It helped me a ton and i am super happy i made the decision to remember what is ahead.
this is why dirt rally is my favourite game the realisam the sense and fear of the speed it one of the rare games to demonstrate speed so realisticly and acurattley to real life and you have to be cautius if you arent it will make you become cautius one little mistake one little cut and you are totaled i drive a car to the rally irl and this game captions it so acurattley it encurages you to drive fast but it also makes you drive cautiusly and drive good im 15 and i'v been playin dirt rally for 2 years and if i havent played dirt there would be a big chance of me crashing because of no cautiun this games teaches you to not make a mistake and how to correct your line hands down the best racing game
It requires training. Your brain adapts. I've been playing rally games for years and now it looks perfectly normal to me, i do what he says without having to think about it. In the beginning i just couldn't listen to him and drive at the same time.
