I loved it when they would ask for my phone number and I would draw a blank. Luckily now I use my number for rewards at the grocery store. I do know my driver's license number by heart because I used to use it at the credit union.

You obviously don't have many people that you give it out to either. When you give out your phone number enough, you tend to remember it. I bet you, that you remember your social media usernames, yet you never send yourself messages. So I don't see how not calling yourself makes a difference in not remembering your own phone number or not.

I have been in jail and psychiatric wards a few times. In those places, you don't have your cell phone, and you can only call the numbers you have memorized.

His girlfriend could have shown up with medical insurance, so he gets a private room. Everyone knows sharing a hospital room is almost certain to end in death. He might get the treatment for the other person in the room. Seriously though. Some people, like those who can't remember simple phone numbers, can't remember their own medical history. Put those people in an accident or medical emergency, and some of them can't even remember how they got to the hospital.
