He deserves an honorary sainthood recognition for his love and support of the hobbies. It breaks my heart to see what he has been dealing with for too long now. He deserves lifetime wings and a bronze plaque on the airfield. Build the control tower back and dedicate it to him.
I really hope his situation gets better. It was a shock to see his xjet video. Whatever he decides to do I support him, he’s genuinely helped thousands of people get into this hobby. I wish u all the luck Bruce.
Bruce is a ledgend and was the first RU-vid channel I watched when I was in to planes. He is an amazing pillar of the community and if I had 1% of his knowledge I would be x1000 smarter thank I am. Chin up Brice and don't let them get you down.
I’m relatively new to this hobby but so many passionate people in this fpv family I feel honoured to be a small part of . Bruce being the granddaddy to help us get in the air and help us all evolve and give advice is a golden trait not many seem to show these days.just like life our hobby has it’s highs and lows and to have people who we can rely on for help can’t be measured in any way. And thanks stew for red lighting this to us you to are an outstanding human being.i believe there is a special place for us all as we all share a special skill and values that very few will ever understand
Thanks Stew. I've joined RC model reviews patreon. I think the last straw was the issue at the local club but the council seemed to bother him greatly. I wrote to them but received the standard "noone is being told not to fly" but they point to their local set of new drone rules which, according to Bruce, have not been legally voted upon (meaning the old rules still stand).
I have learned sooo much from bruce, from how to build your own antennas to understanding how batteries and radio signals work and soooo much more.Thank you Bruce!

If you see this Bruce I have not been in the hobby long but like most of the other people here you have helped me a lot and been a source of inspiration. I think it would be a tragedy if the council got away with this. Hoping things turn around soon and that despite the outcome of this battle that you continue to...find a way... to enjoy flying. This hobby been has been therapeutic for me and many others, and to see them try to crush your spirit and try to stop you from doing what you love is disgusting. NZ has a new ministry now, ministry of regulations. Perhaps we can ask, the regulation that Xjet has had used against him which is illogical and harmful, get reviewed by the minister of regulation
Bruce is a highly skilled and intelligent model man. His skill, knowledge and passion are second to none. The fact the local council has pushed him into a corner, and a so called friend has made privacy strikes against his channel, it's wrong.
Great video Stu! The real sad part is we all including myself let Bruce down by not closing ranks and support him by contacting the officials that are determined to destroy our hobby. He was marching into the battle alone with no soldiers behind him to back him up. Shame on us. He was so disappointed that more people didn't get involved
Bruce has stood up for us and the hobby and he became their target because of that. I've been following him for years but being from the USA it's hard to support his cause or write letters to another country. I think the biggest names in the hobby need to bring light to this. As an international community we can show our numbers.

Thanks for calling out the council. I'm a patreon of Bruce as well. He has done so much for us but more than that, I'm sickened by the hate campaign by certain elements of the council against a citizen with Parkinsons. This is nothing more than a vendetta against an old man who dares to challenge the over reach of 'elected' officials who are there to serve the people. It's about time one of the councillors had the balls to stand up, admit that they got it wrong and do the right thing. Stop the persecution of Bruce Simpson. It is unjust and unfair. What does the local media make of it?
Stew this breaks my ❤️ heart to hear this. I’ve been following Bruce for years. He’s has impacted my life as I know it in my hobby in many ways. God Bless Bruce . I’ve been bitten with cancer and have battled my way back to the hobby. Bruce is a fighter. But your yptube doesn’t have a heart they only have a score system. Grrrrrr. I leave this along . I’m getting pissed. If Bruce needs us , we will be there Stew. Post a support page for donations and this community will keep his head above water.

Hi Stew, I have been watching Xjet since I started flying rc quads. Between his reviews channel and the airfield showing the fun off everyone having fun with our Hobby. I have been a patreon of his for the last 5 years. I don't know what it's going to be without Bruce.
I respect the hell out of Bruce @xjet @RCModelReviews and I feel his frustration. FPV is not a community. RR Rampage would be a lot better attended if it was. Hundreds would have shown up in Washington D.C. to protest the FAA regs. Stew, your channel was crucial in showing fpv as a fun friendly inexpensive hobby years ago. Times have changed and Bruce has been yelling into the void for a long time about it. Imo we should support and thank Bruce, but we can’t be selfish. Let’s give him time.
Bruce has been a legend since he built that cruise missile in his garage from parts from the internet back in 02. Because they said he couldn't. He has always been a step ahead when it comes to anything flight. These new age Karens are really screwing with peoples lives and emotions. Unfortunately, like many others, life has not been good lately, and helping with money is something difficult to do. What can be done to help him that does not require money?
The problem is the Bruce doesn't see any true efforts to fight Draconian regulations. The sad part is its true, very very few people care about the hobby to any true degree. If anyone else, beside the very small handful of us like Bruce, gave half a crap we would have had doezen and dozens of protests and several law suits. Instead we have seen only one of each. If you want to help Bruce, START STANDING UP FOR THE DAMNED HOBBY! DO SOMETHING!
I've been loud about this crap too. 52 years in this hobby and I sure as hell don't want to see it taken away from anyone. I've done as much as I can in my position, and then some; even still trying. But when you have less than a dozen people actually trying to fight it, it is futile. Everyone else talks, but they take no action. In my situation, I will have to stop flying because of regulations, but I will never stop fighting for this hobby.
Shame on those Karen's why can't manage their thoughts. Expose the Rif RAF. Fire the council! I got your back Bruce. How can I help you continue your brilliant work?
Thanks for the moving video over Bruce, I also have been watching him for years, it would be nice if Josh B and the others out there would make a separate video on the blatant lies from his local council stopping Bruce from flying.

Bruce is a great guy! I just found him about 3 months ago. I used to fly about 40 years ago and I am just getting into it again now. I have learned a lot from Bruce and I hope he finds the way to keep pushing through this hard time.
This is really really really sad,I love this guy.I love all his videos,I love his basic electrical theory videos,I watch them over and over again.He knows everything,when it comes to our great old hobby.I sincerely hope he gets thru all this nonsense and leave all those bad,stupid people behind.I fly radio control model airplanes and I could care less about all those stupid regulations.Its sad to witness a very smart person being boged down by all this insanity.I appreciate what your doing to try to help him.I feel with all the intelligent he has,he should be able to look beyond all this madness and enjoy his life the way it's meant to be.I don't let it get in my way,I'm not planning to comply with remote ID or model aircraft registration,I fly when I want,except today,it's the day before Christmas and it's too cold to do any kind of model flying.
Bruce you have highlighted that our Hobby is in big Danger all over the world, we all support you , with what you do and say, the Government's are aiming at the wrong guy's, and the regulations are turning themselves into Knots , we already have our own regulations , but the rogue flyers don't give a monkey of who they hurt , we all must make a stand and deal with this stupid situation, take care buddy we all back you here in the UK all the best PT
I wish I was in a position to help Bruce out. I've been a long time follower of Xjet and RCmodelreviews. I was diagnosed with MS about 18 months ago, and know sort of how he's feeling.
Great that you made this video. As you know now I am sure, Bruce has been energised from exactly this sort of support and encouragement. Gudonyer bloke! You had your down times and mates in the hobby supported you, and so great that you have bounced back! Interesting how this hobby seems to attract so many clever, creative, caring people. Cheers!
Bruce has done more for our Hobby than most will ever know, he's done more for Safety and to see a bunch of Politicians RUIN the hobby for him before Parkinsons is just wrong.

The unfortunate thing is weve all seen how little the public has any effect on anyone in power. Fighting the good fight only works if you have money to influence power.
He took the CAA to task over the whoop. Why not take council to task, go fly and dare them to fine him. As he says he is doing nothing wrong, if it goes wrong and gets fine the community will back him.

He needs a FPV lawyer… unfortunately city hall dosnt take public views serious unless u have representation.. also, he is correct.. but he may have approached this a LITTLE different…
I've been regulated out of the hobby too. I refuse to get any RID and put myself at risk in the crap area I live in. FPV is the only thing that helps me with my disability. Now that the FAA has regulated that away from me, I am falling back to where I was before I started FPV; it is not a good place. I will be lucky to last a year without FPV. I have fought for this hobby as well since the FAA spoke of getting rid of 336. That was about the time I got back into RC. I left because of the horrible people and now I am being forced out because of the weak, horrible, narcissistic people that have no balls, empathy or common sense. Millennials and gen Z care about two things: 1. Themselves. 2. Causing problems for everyone. As for the AMA members and the like, they fall into the same category. And then there is nearly every single youtuber in the RC aviation and FPV spectrum; they all licked the boots of the tyrants and got their "sweet little RID modules". Bottom line. Us Boomers and GenX hobbyists (the real hobbyists) that are the few, the proud, and the true to ourselves and everyone else are the only ones suffering at the hands of the sellouts, narcissists and tyrants.

Im keeping my 5 invh and non complying but all my future vuilds (for drones) are gonna be sub 250. And my giant acale planes (gassers) ill fly at my clubs....and continue to fly my drones wherever i want away from peiple
Stew you’re a great stand up guy and this is one of the many reasons why I love your channel. One of the many things Bruce mentioned that “people don’t care, they’re so busy with their own things and their own lives” I hate to admit it because we are. Right now I have my better half going through health issues dealing with cancer, having to go through chemotherapy and generally being financially strapped because of it. In the US the country’s being run by a geriatric bumbling out of touch idiot so everyone’s making less money but paying more and we’ve got a whole year left of this. So yeah, there’s a lot that’s going on. WE DO CARE BUT SOME OF US ARE WATCHING THIS BUT FEEL POWERLESS TO DO ANYTHING. Bruce is right, these council members don’t care. They’re more hell bent on “the rules, the rules, the rules”. WHAT RULES? THE KIND OF RULES SO RUTHLESS THEY DESTROY A PERSON? Rules are meant to be bent or even broken if they’re mired in calamity and chaos. The council’s decision is that Bruce needs to pay for his wings through the aeronautical models association. What if he’s financially strapped with all that’s going on? Also his health comes into contention with the fact that he’s got only a limited amount of time left. So why pay for only a limited amount of time? He’s asked us to write to the council. Some did write in but there’s a number of us who didn’t knowing that it’d fall only onto deaf ears. All the council did was copy and paste a response, THE SAME EXACT, WORD FOR WORD, RESPONSE. Thank you Stew for doing this, sorry for me rambling on but I do care about Bruce and we all care about Bruce. Love ya and Bruce, you’re both ace blokes and tall poppies in my book.
