Graduated from granger high school in 2009. The family oriented nature of the entire state is something i reallly miss. The various green jello i had to try at the bbqs. I wasn't trying to raise a family at the time and left northern utah

@@LivingIn-SaltLakeCity if I had a family that I wanted to raise with traditional values . I would move back to raise a family . I will say that everything else in SLC or Utah county is not for me, essentially if you are not LDS you are a second class citizen. Members of the LDS are les haughty once they leave the promise land (Utah). I still make my fry sauce when I'm at restaurants.

With people commenting that you're just talking about SLC, I feel many people dont know that opportunities are limited outside of the SLC and Utah County metro areas. Utah County and the Weber County-Ogden area has similar issues. Also northern larger rural areas like Brigham City and Logan get hit with pollution as well, especially in the winter. Also a lot of people commute from SLC here so you might have prepare for long daily commutes if you cant work from home and need to be close to SLC Pollution also reaches out to Tooele and Wendover and lots of commuting unless youre working in the military or a casino with the latter. Water access is going to be a growing problem down in Cedar City and St. George and housing is pricey there. More rural national park towns have the same housing issue with it being limited and costly with places like Moab and Torrey. I mean you can live out in rural cities like Loa or Vernal (US-191) but jobs and pay are going to be limited and lower unless you are telecommuting with your job.

Very true! Some of these issues exist outside of the salt lake city metro area.

Title is a bit misleading. Don't move to SLC would be more accurate. Overall, Utah is an awesome state. Yeah, we'd like more sports. Yeah, we'd like the traffic to be better. Yeah, air quality over north Salt Lake is pretty rough. But I'd refute the lack of culture and lack of history. The whole Utah valley is founded on some unique history. And there is a culture, it's just not some party culture.

Utah has common law marriage if you want to lose half your stuff.
@LivingIn-SaltLakeCity
@LivingIn-SaltLakeCity 2 месяца назад
Utah's laws on common law marriage can be quite complex! While it's true that common law marriage exists, it's not as straightforward as it might seem. For instance, there are specific requirements that must be met for a relationship to be recognized as a common law marriage. Have you or someone you know been affected by these laws?
