I think the difference between Vietnam streets and Thai streets is (except for one-way streets) that motorbike must stay in the inside lane in Vietnam (near the kerb). Cars seldom use the inside lane. Hence some protection for pedestrians when they step onto the road the motorbike can swerve and give way.

Went out for Ba Mee red pork noodles. A rare real Thai restaurant in the USA. It was about twice the size of Thailand examples. $14.50 plus 6% tax plus recommended 18, 20 or 25% tip.

Burg Republic has been open for about 5 months. I was there yesterday. Very, very good ! The owner is in the imported meat business in BKK and they have a sister restaurant there.

Look at your diet and look a the % of food that you eat without too much processing. The closer you are to the soil, the more anti oxidants your body will get. Easy snacks in Thailand are the fresh fruits and coconut juice, papaya salad, etc. they may not eat sweet potato there but that’s a great snack from an air fryer. Good luck.

Have a Happy New Year, Bill. I am still trying to decide where to go on New Year, Tha Phae Gate or Doi Suthep. Maybe I will spend a few hours at Thae Phae then head up to Doi Suthep to watch the fireworks. I heard about that guy who died. We should meet up one day for breakfast.

One thing I never understand is that Thais are supposed to very friendly but the friendliness does not extend to considerate driving behaviour. Speeding and not giving way are inherent problems. In Vietnam, people will give way somehow though they will horn you but in Thailand they will run you down. See you in Heaven.

Insurance depending on what company can run from 200 a month to 600 . I use a company called WR Life you can find them on the internet and they will quote you ...As for retiment home and nursing home there are many . The cost range on how fancy you want but there are planty of them around to fit just about any budget , If you have more specific questions send me an email I ll do my best to answer ..
