@@ajasilikonreffkmimmonsorry I’m so late but there’s a wad file on moddb that has the 3do music on it just load that with brutal doom on gzdoom or whatever and thats it
I like how there's no bass drum in this version because they probably couldn't hear it in the original (look up the absurd development history of this port, it'll also explain why this port runs so fucking bad.)
Funny that Snes version for this one is way more immersive and slow, which is what it needs. 3DO is amazing with the songs but some had more "thing" on them from an outdated Snes
Bro, this is from a crazy port, lil summary: crazy man buy doom license to make a port on the 3do without any knowledge on programming and in the last 3 weeks until the license ends, the company from the 3DO gave him his last developer (he got many but all they went out), etc... He promised lot of things but he didn't add any of them into the game, but, the programmer asked him to do the music himself if he wanted the music inside the game because he was so stupid he cannot send the music files or the game files, he just send to the programmer the game disk... He was not a programmer, but a pro musician, so he made this Oh and started a music school for kids... And now he is on jail... I let you think about it
You know. i still prefer the original, That being said, i love this song, i feel like the beginning of this song, it just blows my MIND, it should have focused a bit more on that horror vibe i feel like. Even thought for me doom is heavy metal, there is definitely a space for some dark horror vibe sort of music.
Have you played the PS1 version? Holy crap they did well in the making of Doom Horror -- the colours, the ambient music and the monster sounds all add to a vibe of 'well, I'm fucked' like no other port. Don't get me wrong, the 3DO is teh best port music of the originals, but the PSX just can't be compared because it's not the same class of game.
