Doom Eternal 100% Ultra Nightmare Speedrun Explained (Old Route)

I play through Doom Eternal 100% Nightmare route, while talking through the various tech we use in the run.
I probably left out some details, but that's to be expected. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below! I hope y'all are able to learn from this, and I hope to get into a marathon using this video :)
Also, I forgot to get the Revanant Shoulder Removal challenge in Arc Complex, but that doesn't change the route much. I just didn't shoot a couple of turrets as much as I should have. (Also a revanant that I normally complete the challenge on didn't spawn, Cause Doom)

Thanks for that recording! I really like and appreciate it. I'm only a casual gamer and happy I just finished the game in Ultra Violence, but 100%-speedruns are really fascinating! I was looking for such a commented run and only found yours. So, thumbs up! ;-)

Unfortunately no. I only use RU-vid for the video side of things. I stream on twitch because it's more user friendly.

Shoot the shotgun, and IMMEDIATELY punch afterwards. For some reason this "transfer" animation from pumping the shotgun to melee counts to cancel the toy pickup.

Raitro I haven’t been able to beat this game on UN. Would you recommend speed running on Nightmare until I’m able to beat it without dying?

@@MrSculptedzoo Yee, that's a very good method for getting in to ultra nightmare. I didn't attempt UN until I hit sub 2:30 in Nightmare. I would highly reccomend nightmare runs to start off, and mentally keep track of how many deaths you get. As soon as you get to a time that you like (or die only 1-2 times per run), start UN

Wait a minute - do you NOT take damage from the sticky bombs??? Was that the same as Doom 2016???

2016 was more punishing eith explosives. In eternal, you only take self damage from micro missiles and rockets.

What is marathon

A public event where a bunch of speedrunners run their game in front of an audience. So it's a "marathon" of speedruns. People then donate to the marathon, which then the marathon gives all the proceeds to a charity of their choice.
