the thing i love about Doomslayer is what Midnight said could (and probably is) completely true. He IS scared, but still brave. Brave CAN mean fearless, but it also has several meanings. And Doomslayer seems to be the other one. Doomslayer is scared shitless, yet still knows what needs to be done, so he kills them. Even on the brink of death, he's still ready to keep going at them.

The reason The Doomslayer doesnt speak is because his voice is so manly that any woman within a 100 mile radius would be instantly pregnant

also while he was still a marine, he already got the blessing that could kill even a god, that is by turning the guts of enemy he kills into ammo of the weapon he uses

The real reason the Slayer doesn't talk is because of a line he heard in The Good The Bad and The Ugly that really stuck with him, "When you need to shoot, shoot! Don't talk!"

Everyone always asks "Who is Doomslayer?" or "Where is Doomslayer?" They should be asking "How is Doomslayer?"

Personally, I think he stopped talking when he realized a lot more was going on behind the scenes than just "Night Sentinels fighting demons". His experience with the Seraphim and the aftermath of that probably made him realize that the Maykrs weren't to be trusted, and his one and only goal of demon annihilation wasn't shared by the "gods" of his new people. At that point, he felt, shall we say, distant. Perhaps he didn't view Argent D'Nur as his home any more. He felt there was no more to be said, no one to be convinced, and speaking would just stir up political trouble that he had zero patience for. So he shut it all out and just aimed straight at Hell, ignoring everything else. That, and the fact that his new and improved body removed pretty much all the human frailties he struggled to overcome before, so he no longer raved uncontrollably, no longer felt his sanity slipping as he fought the soul-devouring hordes of Hell. His rage was now contained perfectly in a vessel worthy of it, capable of honing and focusing it on exactly what he wanted, nothing wasted.

The most terrifying enemy is the one that does not feel the need to boast. One that allows his actions to speak for him. He does not care if you fear him, he will simply destroy you. You know, ever since Doom Eternal came out, I keep getting weirded out by how much you see the Slayer's face, despite the fact that you not only see his face perfectly clearly in the very first game, but it was a major focus of the HUD, I.E. you see it pretty much the entire time you're playing. I guess characters like Master Chief just gave this impression that space marines in awesome green armor just aren't allowed to show their face.

No one could ever understand what it's like to thwart hell 3 times, end up in foreign land unable to speak unless it's about demon gibberish, had to fight said peoples gladiator prisoners, had to fight more demons, lose his new brothers to treachery by hell. And then thwart hell AGAIN AND AGAIN only to be sealed and do this shit over and over.even if he did speak what would he possibly have to say that he couldnt demonstrate with his body language and hands?

I think you're getting fear confused for desperation. He was not scared of the demons, but rather is desperate to eradicate them, due to him knowing ways at stake.

I can relate. Out of all the things, skills, quirks, traits, and people that I've had in my life, one has stood strong throughout time. One that has proven helpful in countless ways. One that does not rust nor fade. Rage.

Anger is a secondary emotion in humans, meaning its source is always elsewhere, commonly in grief or fear. Grief for the bunny, Fear of what he saw in hell.

I have always interpreted it that the Doom Slayer knew what a careless word can do (he mentioned about the demons to the Makyrs which led to the whole shitshow) so he chose not to speak anymore.

I kinda feel sorry for the demons to a point. Just when they thought they were rid of the slayer, and they manage to find a new world to assimilate. Guess who is there. Just imagine two demon co-workers talking about finally being rid of the slayer. "Well it only took eons, but he is finally gone." "Yeah, now we can go back to taking over worlds." *Goes through the first portal, and sees the slayer while in combat*
