Seriously, Lex is an arse beyond comprehension. In the comics even Supes tells him to the face that instead of diverting all the resources he has on petty stuff, especially trying to go after him, Lex could've easily been a hero greater than Supes himself. He simply had to stop being so petty and obsessed with being superior.

Apocalyptic technology is fairly... unique. Cyborg Superman is more machine than man, so they more than likely just regenerated him from bits of his body left at the site. Darkseid is pretty innovative with his robots

In the comics, Henshaw gained the ability to transfer his mind into machines and survived that way. It’s not really explained how he survived this beyond “Darkseid rebuilt him...somehow”.

The event that "killed" him in the comics also gave him the ability to transfer his consciousness into machines, which is how he survived. In fact, the radiation that bombarded him made his consciousness pretty much immortal - each time his body gets destroyed, his mind just kind floats around in limbo. Killing him this way negates the whole premise of him becoming Cyborg Superman later on, so I have no idea what they were thinking.

I really like this monologue from Luthor from 1:38 - 2:06 . I know a lot of people might not like Rann Wilson's casting as Lex, but, for me, Rann made quite and a brilliant Lex. Plus this monologue was beautifully written by the movies writer: Peter Tomasi, whom I had the pleasure of Interviewing at NY Comic Con back when this movie first came out. And what a pleasure it was to converse with him. And, at 2018 NY Comic Con, he sold copies of his Death Of Superman script, a copy of which I happen to have. And it's brilliant.

The best Luthor is still the Young Justice's one. He is charismatic, supportive, encouraging and never loses his temper and extremely brilliant and strategic. You can believe people think he's not a bad guy. In this universe (Animated Movie Universe), he's short tempered, overly narcissistic, overconfident and his ego takes the whole room. He looks, sounds and acts like a bad guy.

I don't understand how all those chairs fell out of the craft. It doesn't make any sense. But they were screwed anyways if they only had a couple of minutes of advance notice to move the shuttle before the collision. IRL you typically get several hours of advance notice so stuff like this doesn't happen.

This is an interesting adaptation of Sman comics. In the original story line, Command Hank Henshaw's crew was irradiated with cosmic rays, which turned them into a temporary DC version of the Fantastic Four, but only Henshaw survived. He later became Cyborg Superman bent on killing Kal-El for not saving him and his crew. And he only later had a tie-in with Doomsday, hitching a ride on him as an escape from Sman, then he used Doomsday to attack Apokolips, and eventually Sman himself.

The hair and beard referencing Lex's "son," Alexander Luthor, Jr. Oh, that's a clever reference. Euclid's fifth postulate: If a line segment intersects with two other lines, and those subsequently created interior angles add up to less than 180 degrees, then the two lines, extended indefinitely, will eventually meet on that side. (Though not said by Euclid, those three angles create a triangle of 180 degrees.) It actually makes sense if you can visualize it.

It's very cool to see Lex with beard and hair just like the Lex Luthor from the Doomsday original comics, even it was a disguise. I have the edition where supermans exchange punche with Doomsday and die.
